two weeks into the new year and i'm livin it.. life as an intern that is.
training. 3 days at some location near lau pat sat. AEC centre. there were just so many of us squeezed into that small room that it took 15 mins to get all of us out of the building in the 3 tiny lifts. the 118 of us, yes, 118 were mostly from aussie unis having our long summer hols with the others being people doing their acca here in singapore. anyways the training was like a crash course on what we would be doing and man i sure didnt know what to expect. to begin with my acc isnt my strongest subject. heck i dun really knw why i am taking this major. ;)
week 1. thur. the first official day in office and i wasnt even there for an hour i reckon. got in at 8.37 (late..) and i missed the pick-up of my group. headed straight to the level where my group was supposed to be and made it just in time. senior came and off to the client we went. :s saw a fren of a fren working on the same level tho. didnt know she was in that team. min. twas helena. lol. didnt really get to say hi tho`. anyways the client's place was down at hill street and that was where we went. the senior and the assistants were all very nice and it wasnt really like what the people who did internships before had described. ohwells its only the beginning, i may be wrong. :) wish me luck!
friday? i was at the client's place too. learning much and also learning the extent of my lack of basic knowledge. i am seriously screwed if i dun brush up. luckily i am ONLY an intern.
week 2. this whole week i was at the client's place except for a bit on monday morning where we all had to go back to office as we had to submit our weekly timesheets. i think that its the only time i'll be seeing the other interns as we're all out most times. :s
so people askin if there are cute girls at e&y, tell me how am i supposed to now?!?!
=\ getting off at 6 almost everyday was good. had the chance to meet up with frens for meals and movie. etc. well, judging by the rate things are going, i dun think i will be able to meet up with everyone come holiday end. :( and then there are the people i wanna see more of too. sigh. work-wise, i had the chance to chat with the other staff on the team. what i can say now is that if nothing changes, auditing isnt something that i'll make a career out of. :P and i really HAVE to study harder. right.
come next week i'll be on another job. someplace near genting lane or smt. hope i get to leave early too! lol.
