i believe it was the first time i attended a party at mcdonalds. (ya i know ive had a deprived childhood) but with crazy adults like such i really aint missing much ay. :P never once would you get so many over 21 non-orientation camp mckids goofing around in a public place. i sure had fun and according to els this wont be the only mcparty i'll be attending... :s woots!

intentions.

it aint enuff on its own. what every instance of human interaction needs is the pong in ping pong or the saw in see-saw. lol. yesh. the other party has to want to interact to. and this basic understanding is often lost in us all.

what we want is just that, its what WE want. what happens after knowing what we want is a different matter altogether. you may want to meet up with a certain friend. or chat with a certain someone. you call and make ur intentions known. and oft end up wondering why what you intended for isnt happening. people do that. and even i am not above it. sometimes i forget that when people meet up, its usually not only the intention of one party, but two. maybe its just the timing. maybe its because of a million other valid reasons. but it sometimes just boils down to the fact that the other party doesnt want any interaction at all. this is where things get screwed.

because if the other party doesnt make their intentions clear. a guessing game that sucks big time will follow. do we keep calling? or do we give up and possibly lose a friend? there happens to be no right or wrong answer. :) which leaves the only way that is to state your intentions in whatever you do that concerns human interaction. and pray a person with enough eQ to reply in a clear and concise manner that leaves no room for doubt. wouldnt that make the world a less f*cked up place where guessing games are few and far between? lol. i would think so.

what say you? :P

btw, this post has nothing whatsoever to do with certain olD frens that i was sposed to meet tonight. yesh ju, des, elsie etc. lol. :P us not meeting up just gave me time to put this down, something that someone else set me thinking about. :)

"if you call, i will answer. if you fall, i'll pick you up.."

pictures!

*tho not entirely exciting i've to warn!* :P

*chang* which actually tastes normal. :)

so bored that we took the train to ponggol (sp?) one night. the fact that it was a friday night was not good. :s

after late nite supper one night @ serangoon north where the hongkong dim sum was good. for a hungry stomach at least. here with terry and wave wang. lol. wave-y indeed.

chinatown! where it wasnt as busy as it would be as cny draws nearer.

toh was shocked at pom's *qing cai*. all tired after a long walk uphill to where the cars were. :)

us @ altivo. where the views were great. nice place and one i'll definitely revisit. erm. maybe next year. heh.

that's all i've got this time round. a new week coming up!

a matter of time.

wed.
met up with min, zenn, grace n frens for dinner. even tho the original meeting place was changed from boonlay (near tuas where work is) to the city *tsk tsk*, all was good. the company was relaxing and dinner @ magic wok was veryy good. :) a lil down side on the walking ard required while they were shopping bt luckily i didnt have my bag with me! *phew* :P we'll meet up again soon ya... and this time no more dodgy bus-rides thru little india, for zenn's sake. ;)

fri.
chinatown. the time of the year mandated the visit to the crowded streets to soak up the festive atmosphere. well, not that i've been going there regularly but its a good place to be if one wants to get into the mood la. being in the company of frens and relaxing was also good la. :) didnt really buy anything except for the snacks that we had while walking around. all the walking was then offset by the 'tian ji zhou' at geylang after... :P sinful. but good! lol.

sat.
a visit to the dentist after a decade. ok its bad. i know. but at least i went! anyways its beri beri clean now and it feeeeeels good. :) i will try my utmost to keep it that way. lol. try la huh.
afternoon passed with a trip to queensway shopping ctr where a few of us tried to do some cny shopping. xian and da got wad they wanted but the rest of us didnt have much luck. :s ohwells. no new clothes fer me it seems. dinner was to be this famous claypot laksa just nearby but as luck would have it it wasnt open for business. damn. headed to altivo soon after and then on to tanjong pagar railway station for supper after. it was like stepping into malaysia. :s

btw. happy birthday min! ;)

26 January 2005

maybe not.

maybe i dont need a month. hopefully i've done enough thinkin to sort it out. :)
wish me luck!

anyways this week i began my 3 weeks of hell in tuas. twas killer combos all the way i say.
1st. trip there. luckily my senior stays near and we get to take a cab there.
2nd. only one eating house (as they call it) nearby. anywhere else requires a car.
3rd. no bus out. company shuttle goes at 5,6,7pm. and its followed by a long mrt ride home.
4th. if overtime is done, only a cab booking will do and it is never under $23 home.

=\

if i dont get ot claims OR transport claims, i'll die. like before chinese new year. :s

23 January 2005

one month.

something that i've never thought i will ever post here, but will do so anyways and it only just means this blog will more accurately capture the life of me, and the path that i've chosen. i've given myself one month to get over someone that i'd once hope would be part of my life. her reappearance in my life both lifted me up and brought me down. it aint a good feeling. woots! feeeeeeling so screwed. one month. right. :)

welcome to 2005! in case you've got no clue as to what i am talking about, dun worry cos you aint alone. i'm here with you, as lost.

game over?

a token spent.
a wrong game played.
a lil change expected.

but no worries.

i'll be back soon enough.

21 January 2005

too short a week.

with a four day workweek it was a little bad. there were only 3 of us on the job and the client wasn't really ready for us. it also didnt help that there was technically no 'senior' on the team. :s

anyways it was the after work times that were wayy better, meeting up frens that i've not seen in a year or so. i always liked catching up with ppl. former schoolmates. army frens. frens from i dun rem where.. lol. its just times like these that i feel my time is most well spent. at our age and time in life, almost everyone is busy and making more frens with each passing day, to keep them all would be impossible i tink. but what makes certain frens of yours so special is the fact that they take time out to meet-up with you. they're the ppl with whom you had shared a certain part of your life with. the shared experience will always be there and its almost always interesting to look back and see how one has grown since. :)

tho there's also the sad side whereby some frens choose not to have you as a part of their lives but its all good la. sometimes we just have to take things easily and not be too harsh on ourselves. life is too short to spend it unhappily! ;)

selamat hari raya haji? bye! :P

20 January 2005

pictures.

or the lack of them. mainly cos i'm lazy. erm. just cos i'm lazy la. :)

16 January 2005

sunday morning.

with the weekend almost up, i didnt reaLLi do much i spose. not really a case of making full use of my time! was at NewAsiaBar for the first time last night and i must say the views were great. apparently there was this group having a 'hen's night' or smt and the two brides-to-be had a whole bunch of people invited. music was a mixture of chillout and dance. drinks were normal for a place like such. crowd was more workin class' i spose. it definitely wasnt someplace my frens liked aLot. :P maybe we'll all have the buzz in us for years to come. wells, i can now say i've been then and i like. the views that is. :) had 'tian ji zhou' at geylang after and honestly speaking i dun think i've ever eaten that too. heh. but it was good and definitely something i would have again. a night of firsts. twas good.

looking foward to another round of meeting new ppl at work and frens after. should be good given the after work plans this week. ju... tsk tsk.

btw. hi to cheeyong. cya thursday! :)

15 January 2005

an internship.

two weeks into the new year and i'm livin it.. life as an intern that is.

training. 3 days at some location near lau pat sat. AEC centre. there were just so many of us squeezed into that small room that it took 15 mins to get all of us out of the building in the 3 tiny lifts. the 118 of us, yes, 118 were mostly from aussie unis having our long summer hols with the others being people doing their acca here in singapore. anyways the training was like a crash course on what we would be doing and man i sure didnt know what to expect. to begin with my acc isnt my strongest subject. heck i dun really knw why i am taking this major. ;)

week 1. thur. the first official day in office and i wasnt even there for an hour i reckon. got in at 8.37 (late..) and i missed the pick-up of my group. headed straight to the level where my group was supposed to be and made it just in time. senior came and off to the client we went. :s saw a fren of a fren working on the same level tho. didnt know she was in that team. min. twas helena. lol. didnt really get to say hi tho`. anyways the client's place was down at hill street and that was where we went. the senior and the assistants were all very nice and it wasnt really like what the people who did internships before had described. ohwells its only the beginning, i may be wrong. :) wish me luck! friday? i was at the client's place too. learning much and also learning the extent of my lack of basic knowledge. i am seriously screwed if i dun brush up. luckily i am ONLY an intern.

week 2. this whole week i was at the client's place except for a bit on monday morning where we all had to go back to office as we had to submit our weekly timesheets. i think that its the only time i'll be seeing the other interns as we're all out most times. :s so people askin if there are cute girls at e&y, tell me how am i supposed to now?!?! =\ getting off at 6 almost everyday was good. had the chance to meet up with frens for meals and movie. etc. well, judging by the rate things are going, i dun think i will be able to meet up with everyone come holiday end. :( and then there are the people i wanna see more of too. sigh. work-wise, i had the chance to chat with the other staff on the team. what i can say now is that if nothing changes, auditing isnt something that i'll make a career out of. :P and i really HAVE to study harder. right.

come next week i'll be on another job. someplace near genting lane or smt. hope i get to leave early too! lol.

02 January 2005

vball madness.

today is the third consecutive week that i am playing vball and i must say i'm loving it! :)
waking to rain that was to last the whole day, i made my way by bus to the spans-jom clubhouse in toapayoh. bumped into wenjie qiaoli meixin and xiu along the way. not many came down today but it was to be expected given the rain. luckily we had enough people to at least form two full teams. i think of the three times, today was the day i enjoyed myself the most. maybe its cos most of the people there were people i know. maybe its just that i'm getting back whatever feel i have for the game. anyways at the end of 4 hrs i was positively tired out. :P headed to tampines for lunch aftr washing up and reached home only after 6. ohwells... next week we've a booking too! lol.

gonna have an early night. work starts again tomorrow.....

01 January 2005

happy new year!

over four hours into the new year and here i am blogging. clubbing on nye was good if not great. the company was good too but we were all simply too tired after a few hours. this isnt just me saying it, we are old already. :P wells it could be that we've yet to find the kinda crowd that we'd have the most fun in but its likely that that wasnt the only reason! =
anyways i am so loooookin foward to the new year! woots ;)
