"Sisters by Chance, Friends by Choice"

I was walking into the living room the other day and came across these two beautiful girls just like this on the couch sharing a moment together. It was just so sweet I had to capture it. It's moments like this that truly make motherhood the best! Love you girls!!

Laudable Lion

Lakeside Elementary has a program called Laudable Lions. Each month every teacher chooses a student who performs well or does something exceptional. They have an assembly and recognize the students that were chosen for the month. Cooper received this accolade for May. As embarrassing as it is, none of us actually knew what "laudable" actually means. I had to google it and here's what it said.. "deserving commendation; praiseworthy" We are very proud of Cooper for receiving this recognition! Great job buddy!! We love you!

World Fair

Cooper got to participate in another great 6th grade Project called the World Fair. Each student was assigned a Country and had to do a very large and detailed research based report on it. They did a full typed report, a display board, a fact sheet, and a flip chart. It was a lot of work and Cooper did it all himself (even if part of it was done and 10:30 pm the night before it was due). He did a great job and it was fun to go to the school and see what creative things the other kids did.

Coop has such a great personality and has a good sense about him. As part of the report, they were required to write their opinion of how they felt about the report. This is Cooper's exact words "I disliked this report. I picked Portugal just for their soccer team. I learned a lot of new things. I liked most that their schools only have three cycles. This was the only thing I liked. It took so long I hated it. Portugal is pretty cool though." I just thought that was funny and I questioned him when he turned it in but he said he was told do be honest. When I went to the World Fair his teacher asked if I had read his report. I nervously told her that I had and was worried about what she may say. She just laughed and said it was great and that she really did tell them to be honest. Below is the actual grading sheet that she wrote her comments on.

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter weekend! It was nice to celebrate Easter with family and Friends. We started with the Annual West Point Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. This has been a tradition for us for many years. The kids always have a great time for that 30 second adventure (well, Cannon wasn't so sure, but he finally got into it). On Sunday, we got the kids all dressed up and had some way cute pictures taken by my friend Abbey (pics coming soon) and then went to Church. After Church all my family came back to our home for a delicious dinner and then a party for Cambrie's Birthday. It was a great day!

Getting ready to start hunting for eggs
Cannon really wasn't to impressed with the festivities

He finally figured out that it was fun.

I had to throw this pic in, it just cracked me up. This is Kiptyn (Cannons BFF and Bro). I called his name and he turned around like a little studly boy and struck this pose. Too cute!

Conlie and Ellie bundled up on a fine freezing Spring day!

Cannon and Conlie showing off what they found. Cannon pretty much got 2 or 3 eggs and was done. That was enough fun for him!

Conlie, Daxton, Hadlie, Cambrie, Cooper.

Eggs we colored Saturday night for the Easter Bunny to hide.

Look what the Bunny hid!
