2008...

I was a year 2 and i still am a year 3 engin survivor
I had a quarter life crisis at 21.
I have some new insights in friendships. that affected me for quite some time.hmm..
I joined Gaw. some ups and downs
i went genting with frens. i sat the free fall ride for the 1st time and felt my shoe was gg to fly out anytime.
I went to vietnam. Seen for myself the meaning to ma lu ru hu kou. But i Would love to go again. hanoi this time round?
I wasted my holidays fruitfully everytime. HA. slack all the way :)
i rebonded my hair after 5 years of contemplation. yes.i am that indecisive. but it aint that straight anymore :/
I became one of the scapegoats for gar-ment . but i was exposed to the other side of life and nice chatting with aunties ;)
I was a summer program helper. I'm proud to say i have increased my tolerance of ATs after this stint. some ATs are not that bad afterall!
I seen my friends thru their up and downs. Jia you!
My friends got attached! mich,ah ma,pok, tackey, bee,yf ..
My fatty brother no. 1 got attached too. was feeling quite despondent for a while.
I was called in lecture to answer some silly lec side qns, tt i blatantly forgot to do. that's like striking lottery!

I like the tom yum fish at techno edge. haha not fantastic but still shiok enuf for mich and i.
I had to take design project. felt like a useless bum. i'm gonna watch more discovery channel shows from now on. roar.
I was one of the human sacrifices along with aunty faith. wa, 1st time!
We had our 1st family portrait.
My brother graduated and found a job. yay! another source of income for my family (and for me:P)
I love my daddy, mummy and fatty brothers.
The lift renovations is done! It calls for a celebration! now the lift stops just outside my unit. haha okie dont seem significant but YAY to laziness!
I (still) hate exams and when its time to check the results.
I 'm still wincing at my stupid mistake over and over again.

Friends have been asking me how was this year's hols as compared to last year. hmm i guess i did enjoyed being an unproductive leech this year. Thou i did at some point of time, wished that i went back to taka to work . for the $ and time literally flew over there. But this year wasnt that bad too. met up with friends etc..

Some friends around me have encountered ups and downs of their lives this year. An eventful 21.. But i'm really really glad that things are starting to look up for them. Cliche but every cloud has a silver lining or there's a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. Think positive my dear friends :)

A time to make new year resolution? haha, better not. made some last year, and i didnt really fulfil any. i shd just take things as it goes. But kinda scary, i'm year 3 already. 1.5 more years to graduation. I tink there's alot more room for self improvement within this 1.5 years.

There is no turning back. i should just grit and rough it out..No regrets. i hope.

Song of the moment. I was watching this Korean show, on air ,(haha okie i know korean shows are pretty cliche..) and i'm addicted to this song for now. haha i like sappy love songs =)

Twilight

hmm up till today nt much had happened, met up with friends to catch up and to immerse ourselves in the jolly good season xmas! =) and i had family gatherings last week. haha i didnt know my mum had a way with poker!

Met up with ham today at jurong point. We had a good catching up over the long awaited xiao long baos and after which we checked out the new extension to jurong point. Definitely a better shopping experience now, with alot more shops! and... we caught the sneak preview to Twilight.



Although throughout the show, Belle and Edward were staring at each other as if they were each other's meat, the chemistry and romance was so intense that it definitely had us wanting to know more. Edward's family (of vampires) was also very intriguing!

Nvm the negative reviews about the show about it not living up to the standards of the book. Its hard to condense a book to a 2 hour movie. I have not read the book, but for us it was entertaining, exciting and romantic enough. Definitely worth the 10 bucks!

It was also a movie that left the both of us giggling madly.. ;) What a great chick flick! after this movie i'm going to be so hung up over edward ask Robert Pattinson aka cedric diggory for a while. Woah brooding good looks and charm. haha or am i too old for all these?

Argh i cant wait to read the books or to catch the next instalment which is next year. ham we must watch it tgt next yr! =)

after that we proceeded to celebrate yf's birthday. It was supposed to be a surprise, planned by yf's beau even before the exams. Her friends would all magically appear for her bday dinner at cafe cartel. but yf is smart la! haha...

Yesterday went out with tackey.. went retail therapy-ing after the exams and the heartache. i realised the last time i went there was 2 months ago? haha i have no life!

so we shopped, we ate, and we took lots of photos. 171 pics in fact. and a few was taken with a couple of vietnamese uncles who were so amused by us that they requested to be in the pics with us. =.=' and they are not very paiseh people ,kept clicking my cam for continuous shots.. like wth? apparently zhi pai , privacy has lost all its meaning. when we said it was enough and asked for my cam back, judging from their expressions i bet for a moment they forgot it was MY cam . the protagonist ran back to us, and asked us to send the pics.. Being the typical singaporean, of course... ... I WONT.haha oops sorry =)

and so began our xmas deco hunting! =)

hmm another long long week.. and Exams are coming soon. i'm looking forward to the hols though i'm wont be going overseas, as much as i would like to. So many ppl that i know are going for holiday trips this dec or SEP/NOC next sem. i want to get out of Singapore too! argh hope i'm not regretting my decision to drop CUHK sep application.

Last Thurs we celebrated bee's 21st! with a simple dinner at sakae sushi, westmall. Guess it was a chui period for all of the sisters, cos we all looked shagged. But nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously with the good food (the super BIG bowl of ramen!), and catching up =) yays! and made some dec plans with them. a random note, bee looked so much happier this time, with her new found love:P

and yesterday was gaw's third and last party at SAdeaf .hmm i guess it was the best party out of the 3. Simple affair, but the kids were truly appreciative of all the efforts. I think everyone enjoyed themselves too.



afew days before the party, the cell was busy with all the preparatory work. The gel filling took us 5 hours! and not to mention gooey hands. But it's always enjoyable doing all these with the cell. we initially planned to camp at east coast park's beach the night before the party( cos of the crazy timing the next day), with 2 tents, mass tins, maggie mee and lamp. but argh sorry i had to pangseh cos couldnt fin the design proj. After exams k!!

hmm so many gan chu from gaw. the many nights spent, the good and the bad.. But ultimately its all worth it.. =)

i guiltily watched these 3 series recently..

1)

Reaper

Story of a under achiever who at the age of 21, became a hell bounty hunter for escaped souls from hell. To capture these souls, he will need vessels to contain them. Though this show cant escape the one-villian- one-epidsode plots, but i think the nonsensical humour makes the show watchable. haha and my fave funny character would be the side kick, sock, who has the best laugh lines in the show.

2)

Pushing Daises Season 2

Continuation from season 1. The story of a pie maker who has a special gift since young- the ability to resurrect the dead upon his touch. However if he did not touch the dead within a min, another person in the vicinity will die in his place. And another touch of the ressurected will render them dead forever.

and so a exploitative detective emerson god enlisted his services to crack murder cases by simply asking the dead to talk. (haha! it would be efficient for local crime force..) Unfortunately, the pie maker's childhood sweetheart, chuck happened to be one of the murder victims. she was eventually resurrected but the couple could never touch again for she will be dead forever.



i like the way the show creates bright and cheery settings for every episodes. And of course guess the other highlight would be the issue of the couple who could never touch. woah imagine for real life couples, it will be a real challenge. No physical affection, not even a touch.

Heroes season 3

Continuation from the previous seasons. as usual, exciting and intriguing. (Episode 1 was creepy!) It tries to explores characters like Mohinder and Sylar and the introduction of new characters with new abilities.


i sense another major conspiracy underway and storyline is getting more complicated for me to understand.hmmm...

oh man i shall not watch any more shows until Dec! drats. haha why does everything else always seem more tempting when its just before the exams?

yest we had GO party.. it was a relatively feel good party, where everyone felt that the kids were appreciative of all the efforts that we put in, in getting the presents and party. Seeing the smiles on the children's face,everything that we have done is really worthwhile =)

After the party, we went out with the remaining oc and laura for dessert, where everyone shared their experiences with the various table topics and it was when it changed alot of impressions..haha, 1 night stands, romantic things, how to be a gd mother etc. hahaha so random.
Then, the cell met up with gorilla for dinner where we cont talking abt things in life/school/gaw.

today it was guen the ah ma's bday party! :) was supp to meet earlier but as usual i was late :P We didnt really know where ah ma's hse is so we tailed behind a suspected party go-er all the way from interchange. haha and we were correct. the theme was pink and blue. with nice pink and blue balloons and banners. and party goers are supp to wear pink and blue but oops sorry ah ma i missed that detail out. Guess only vil was meticulous enough.

at the party, we self entertained ourselves again. with topics and photo taking. haha.which resulted in 245 photos in 1 night.
