ms choo came to talk to our class this afternoon and she showed us several newspapers cuttings which had pictures of her. i have to say that she look different from the past.
i was actually expecting her to explain to us about the extended curriculum and all that but surpisingly, she did not. we did a few questions the day before she talk to us and man was i really surprised as to what our class wrote for the question on what professions we are interested in.
pyschologists, illustraters, producers, lawyers, FBI agents etc. my first reaction was, "wow, impressive". i never thought my class has such ambitions. not that i look down on them, it's just astonishing to discover the inner dreams in them. recalling what i wrote, i was embarrassed, even though ms choo said that we should work hard for our dreams, no matter what dream it is.
it makes me wonder, if someone wishes to be a comedian. would he need to get A1s for all the subjects? what does he really need? a great sense of humour or a beautiful set of distinctions? indeed, we should improve our knowledge for our own good. yet must he strive so hard just to get diploma? a person with distinctions but absolutely no sence of humour applying for the job as a comedian, he most probably will not get hired.
before i go further, i have to announce that my personal opinion is meant for sharing and not any personal attack. no offence please.
you may wish to be a veteran, you may dream to become a manager one day, or even the boss of some lucrative business, or even a star, an idol of youngs and olds. whatever your dream, work for it. u strive for it. u get it. u get it. u enjoy it. u enjoy it. u will be happy.
isn't happiness what we want all this while?
