Hilskie got married to Xero

I haven't written in this thing for a long time...but, my last post was about xbox live bringing people together...

You'd never believe it, but that is how I met my Husband!  Yep...that's right, I got marriedJulian and I met on Xbox live, specifically in 2old2pwn, which is a video gaming clan from 2old2play.com.
This is our Engagement picture!
He's from the San Francisco area.  We got to know each other playing Halo: Reach.  One night after a couple of games, we ended up talking and we found out that we have a lot in common, like music...and other stuff too!  I always enjoyed talking with him.  He was as interested in hearing what I had to say as telling me something funny or interesting.

At the end of Aug '11, he flew up and visited for a week.  I was a dork for 3 days, but he was patient and knew that I was the one for him, and after 3 days, I finally realized he was right and that all the things I had been feeling were right and good.

Leaving him at the Airport at the end of that week was one of the most difficult thing I've ever done.

A few weeks later he asked me when I wanted to get married...now, we had talked about it...but I didn't realize how serious we were.  After we set a date, I called my mom and started crying because I realized all my prayers were finally being answered...I'm sure she thought he had hurt my feelings or something...but that was definitely not the case!  After that we started talking about dates, he decided he was going to move up here.  I feel so lucky that he made that decision.  What a sacrifice, and I'll always be grateful!

BEST DAY EVER 12-23-11
His mom came up for the wedding, and even an unlce
that lives down in Seattle.  All the people that I really wanted there were there, My whole family, except for Danny.  My Harmon family...including Jenn & Justing who lived in the South Pacific at the time! Friends from AZ and CA...everyone made it the special event it was...I was so glad to share my total joy and happiness with them!

We decided to hire someone to do the decorating, and they did an absolutely amazing job.  The cultural hall at church didn't even look like it was a basketball court!  I loved it!

Auntie Wes and Auntie Rocky did the food...we decided to be light with the food and had some awesome sandwiches and wraps and the infamous cheese ball!  Auntie Rocky turned them into Pine Cones...they were cute!!  And of course, Almond Punch...my favorite!
Mom made the most beautiful cake ever!  She procured a Cake Cricut and Lilly had lots of fun figuring out what designs to put on the cake...it was gorgeous!

We're at month 10...I know that I should have posted this sooner.  Oh well.. :)

Julian is the perfect guy for me.  He anchors me and is supportive and loving.  I'm so lucky we found each other, and I think it's cool that we met on Xbox live...one more thing we have in common.  I hope Heavenly Father is up there doing a happy dance that he made all the details come about perfectly!

Xbox Live - Bringing people together...hahaha

This is my gaming friend, Becky...but she goes by "Lady is Red" in the xbox live gaming world. I got to go down to Oregon to visit her and her family last week! It was a blast! Glad I went...even if it was OR. And you'll be happy to know, I made a trip to/through OR without getting pulled over or given a ticket! SWEET!

Update

So...my computer broke a few weeks ago...actually more like a month ago. Stupid Comcast cable at my mom's. ;)

Got it back today...reason it took so long? DELL SUCKS! They took forever to send restore discs...but at least they didn't charge me right?

Work is going good...sometimes I feel like I know what I'm doing and other times I think..."Holy Cow, I know nothing!" But I'm really enjoying it! :)

This past week, I had a couple of days off! So, I decided to go down to Oregon (Still hate the state) and visit my online buddy, Becky...otherwise known as LadyisRed. It's amazing the people you meet in the oddest places. Xbox live brings people together! LOL It was so fun! She has an awesome family and it was great to lounge and get to know this fab lady in person. Neither one of us turned out to be crazy online killers...LOL A big thanks to Auntie Wes & Uncle Mike! It's been a long time since I stayed over at their house, and it was nice to visit and watch a movie!

Life went along just fine without the computer...but it's sure nice to have it back!

Puppies

My mom got 2 new puppies Saturday... As Torri calls them "Dock-unds"...of course we got miniature Dachshunds! After some debate about names...because for some reason the 4 year old needs to be the one to name them...Here they are!

This is Jasper...isn't he handsome!

This one is Lucy Bella...originally they had another dog picked out, but somethings fell through, so when they asked Torri what she wanted the dogs named...she picked Bella (roll my eyes)...even tho' I'm a Twilight Fan...I told my mom if they named her Bella, I was gonna call her Belly. This puppy is DEFINITELY a Lucy...not a Bella. I'm sure you can get her personality from the picture. ;)

This is them playing outside...Lucy is CRAZY! She tackles Jasper every chance she gets!

The Beatles do Rock Band

So, there's a new Rock band game coming out that's all about the Beatles! There are some really cool parts to this game..

#1- The instruments!

Aren't they cool!?? You can't see it very well but even the drums have some flair on the "Shell" :)

#2 - 3 Part Harmony...that's right, I said it...three part harmony! SWEET, huh?

The only think is, to buy the starter set is $250...that only includes 1 guitar. *sad face* I might just buy a new Rock Band2 Set...that way all our really used instruments can be retired...and just get the Beatles Rock Band disc...we'll see...

Aren't you excited!! I am!
