The past week
Thursday, September 4, 2008

Guess I've been lazy for too long, till tonight I suddenly feel like bloggin' a little about the past week's happenings.
And I must say, it was REALLY happening.
Graduation ceremony on Friday, Comex 2008 on Saturday, Sim Lim Square on Sunday.
SONG ah! (lol)
Ok, first of all lemme share some pictures taken at ma graduation ceremony. So, dont say dont have!

The RMIT graduands! (From left: Isabelle, me, Yasi, Eve)

After the ceremony, with our long-awaited big, big certs!

A close-up shot of ma cert

So proud of ma secondary school classmate, Jiahui
who attained Bachelor with Distinction!

Dont misunderstand, I didnt dump ma dearie for someone else!

This is ma lovely sis!

Karin the cutie and me, the super cutie! *PUKES*

I got to take a pic with Qiuyan who was the busiest
throwin' her mortarboard with her clique!

As expected, the entire area outside the Grand Hall where the ceremony was held on 4th floor and the Atrium on 2nd floor were soooo crowded.
Just couldnt take it anymore, snapped a few shots and quickly left!

Sis sent me home and when we reached the entrance of the carpark between Blks 154 and 157,
aunties and uncles with that busybody look were standin' around at the road side,
police cars and a forensic vehicle were parked just outside.
"WAHHH, WHAT HAPPENED HAH??!??! GOT MURDER?!!?" ma sis and I immediately exclaimed.
So we, the busybodies, parked her car under our block and went to join the group of busybodies and we all became SUPER BUSYbodies.
Guess what, I still had ma graduation gown on (but without the mortarboard of course)! HAHAHAHA
The Ultimate Kaypo Queen from RMIT University.
Uncles asked me if I had just graduated from the forensic school. "MEI YOU LA! SHEN JING BING~ (laughs)"
Sooooo.... there was a corpse canopy sittin' outside the carpark.
The aunties and uncles gathered around sharin' their story among themselves.
Media came and approached the brother of the victim who refused to be interviewed.
She then came to us to ask if we knew what happened. I thus pointed at one of the aunties and said "ASK THAT AUNTIE ASK THAT AUNTIE. THE BLACK STRIPE, HAIR TIED UP ONE. GO ASK GO ASK!"
And I kept mimickin' the auntie's actions behind her back hahahahaha.
Sis asked me to move, I just didnt wanna move. Just wanted to stay and watch.
Slowly, more and more people came to be busybodies like us.
The police finally removed the corpse canopy and exposed the dead body lyin' in a pool of his blood. Ma head ached a lil! And I felt a lil nauseous.
First time I see dead body like that. What an experience!
One uncle there heard from one malay boy who was there with us that the killer is a Chinese man.
And that Chinese man happens to be the one who always drank stout under ma block every morning with an Indian cleaner and the boss of the shop downstairs!!!!
OMG!! I almost couldnt believe ma ears!
It's like, danger was so near yet we were unaware!
I told ma cousin who lives just one floor below me and he was like "I KNEW HE IS UP TO NO GOOD! LIKE GOT SOMETHING UP HIS SLEEVES!"
LOL! Goodness gracious. Everyone of us has seen him before.
Ma sis and I were talkin' about buyin' 4D since it was such a coincidence that we had to encounter this on ma graduation day!
2908 is the date. The last 4 digits in ma IC number also contains these 4 digits.
And ma sis' Mazda club number also consists of these 4 digits!
And the body was lyin' in front of the 4D shop!
HUAT AH!
So we went to buy the numbers immediately the next day but 2908 was sold out!
Must be all those aunties uncles KIASU go buy early in the morning!!!!!
GRRRRRRR~~

ANYWAY!
After buyin' 4D, immediately dearie and I rushed to Suntec City for the Comex thingy as I wanted to get a camera!

Ohhhhhhh ma Nikon P80! Now I've officially joined the Nikon family *lalalala*
Went to look at other cameras like Fujifilm and Sony, but Nikon still won ma heart (and money)!
Costs me 699 with freebies like umbrella, 2 4gb memory cards, lens cleaning kit, case, screen protector, binoculars and tripod.
Gave dearie ma tripod since his tripod already broke, and the bino since he likes it so much!
Free of charge ok! So better gimme something good for ma bday!
Best if u can treat me a holiday trip to KL or Genting!
Also sponsor me money to play JACKPOT!
Im still itchy to play Jackpot ever since the trip to HCMC, hehehe.

The next day we headed to Sim Lim Square without any prior planning because his uncle showed us his PDA phone that aroused SUPER alot of ma interest!
Can watch TV, can listen to radio, can take pictures, can use wireless.
FOR FREE!
And costs only around 200!
I immediately told dearie to bring me to SLS on that day itself!
And I really bought a PDA phone!
Made in China but who cares?!?!
Come on, it's only 220!

Looks abit like Nokia N73 the purple color one. Coz this is also purple in color.
Ooooooooooo! So I can bring both to Bangkok and Korea in December! YAY!~~~

Talkin' about Bangkok and Korea,
Im goin' to Bangkok on 6-8 December with ma colleagues, it's a company sponsored incentive trip!
Only need to top up 40 per pax, and flyin' SQ! Stayin' at the new P2 boutique hotel which is situated at Pratunam!
Korea trip would be 30 December to 18 January next year,
I've just purchased ma tickets online at work! Flyin' Korean Air, tickets cost 1139 (dropped by 2 bucks, dont play play!).
Now Im lookin' forward to bookin' accommodation and plannin' the itinerary.
AH WONG, are u ready?!?!?!

Today, 4 September, is the day dearie finally comes back from KL!
He has got his Hilton Escalator (oops sorry, its ELEVATOR) assessment over there and I hope he gets an offer of overseas posting!
Missed him dearly~~
Im gonna pick him up at the airport after work.
TERMINAL 2, HERE I COME AGAIN!

HIGH!
Monday, July 7, 2008

Yesterday being Sunday, i went to JB with dearie to buy contact lenses. I always buy 4 boxes when im there coz both ma eyes have got different degrees so i always get 2 months' supply everytime im there. So this time round there is a buy-3-get-1-free promotion... and 1 box is at RM 70. RM 210 for 4 boxes, a box about SGD 22 (it's 39 per box in SG with no promotion). I gain, lah!

And then, went shopping around and therefore i popped by a shoes shop and this pair of heels caught ma eye, but i thought, maybe i would see something nicer in other shops, so i walked around somemore but we realised only that shop sold nicer ones. Well, well, well, we went back and i looked at that pair of heels again. Then, i thought. Hmmmm... the heels seemed a lil low. I wanted something taller. So, a pair of higher heels caught ma eye. And then i was contemplatin' which one i should get. The low heels have a nicer design and thats what attracted me to it, yet the high heels also attracted me coz of its design and the height of the heels but didnt attract me as much as the low heels did.

Hmmmmmmm. And therefore i began thinking, if i buy both, how much would that be? So i began doin' mental sum and i derived an answer: RM 39.90 + RM 49.90 = RM 89.80. Only SGD 40. Each pair is only SGD 20.

JUST GET, LAH!

Went to make payment for the purchase and in the end the shop only charged me RM 84.90. Song bo?!

***Will upload the pix of the shoes asap!***

Hence ive made up ma mind. I shall go to City Square once every 2 months for shopping! For contact lenses and clothings, bottoms for work! Can save alot!

Went for supper with dearie last night at Bencoolen. Managed to fulfil ma craving: peanut prata and milo dinosaur! Yum yum! Dearie drove and fortunately he didnt fall asleep on the wheels! -_-~~

Today is such a happy, happy day! 1st: wore ma new shoes (the low heels); 2nd: got ma June salary! It's even more than what i calculated! Woohoooo~ Can save up more this month. And will be gettin another round of salary end of this month. HIGH!

4 more days to Ho Chi Minh trip.... bloody lazy to pack ma luggage. Can someone do it for me please?!?!

Back after...
Monday, June 23, 2008

Yeah, im back after such a long, long time. Many things happened since the time i last blogged till now. Sad things, angry things, happy things, major things, minor things... whatever u name it.

Good news. Finally im graduatin' from uni... i cant explain the joy when i received the news that ive cleared ma final semestral exams. It's been really tough for me from the start of the exams till the release of the results. Mental torture yet unfortunately some people couldnt understand what i was goin' thru.

Whatever it is, it's over.

Gonna start workin' full time soon, to earn money for ma next big trip. :))

A mini 'graduation' trip for me to Ho Chi Minh City, 11-18 July. Somewhat cant wait for it. Just wanna break away from the boring life here.

Alright i guess i shall stop here, will update again soon.....

Rotten Saturday.
Saturday, April 5, 2008

Today is such a rotten day.

Mostly all the consultations i handled were so challenging and ANNOYING, i couldnt help but roll ma eyes everytime i got away from the counter to take brochures or ask other colleagues questions that i couldnt answer.

1. There was this mother and son who came for consultation on ACCA. They both carried a stern look while askin' me questions. I even noticed the son was secretly holdin' this piece of paper in his palm with a whole load of questions. He looked down everytime and then began askin' a new question. And his questions were all properly structured! I felt as though i was being interviewed, or perhaps, INTERROGATED. And when he asked about another course, i had to go away to take another brochure for him and then, i heard him and his mother gigglin' among each other. Isnt that like playin' a prank on me or something?? Their questions are DAMN hard to answer by the way, and it's like never ending. Knn.

2. 2 Malaysian gals came for consultation. Also asked alot of questions which i couldnt answer. Never ending. When i told her to check online, she was like "Can you do it here then? Y'all are supposed to give me information mah if not i come here for what??" Doesnt she understand, we dont have that kind of information here so why make our lives difficult? Its not too tough to ownself check online also, what. Bitch.

3. These 2 China students came to me, wantin' to buy books. And they kept insistin' they are entitled to 10% discount for their purchase. I said no, ma colleague said no, and then they said "Ask her, ask her. Coz your colleague also doesnt know anything." ("Her" refers to ma duty manager) So, i asked her. She also said no. However, they STILL insisted there is 10% off for them coz they saw it online last night. Therefore i checked the website and looked at the brochures which are exactly the same as what we have here. Then they said it's a little different. So, i was already VERY VERY PISSED OFF at that time, i took out our course brochure and showed them the 10% loyalty discount for students who are our current ACCA students, and i asked them with that sarcastic look on ma face "Are you referrin' to this?" And then they were like "Erm, yeah, i think so...." So after learnin' there was no discount, they left the counter empty handed. Irritating pigs.

I think this is one of the worst Saturdays ive ever had. Shit.

Wish these people could stop givin' other people stress. As ive had enough stress of ma own. So please STOP!

Global Marketing presentation....

2 April 2008

That's us... ma GM project group. And with Dr Bob Foo. I call him Spongebob Squarepants hahahah.

Anyway, i wouldnt say ma presentation was a flop, i wouldnt say it was smooth either. Last minute preparation: 3am the night before then i started to prepare ma speech, only memorised ma speech like during the rehearsal 45 minutes before our presentation. Too much to say for ma part and each presenter was allowed only 3 minutes maximum. And therefore i talked like bullet train. Simply nervous!!

Good thing, its OVER. The last presentation of the entire course. WOOHOO.

Right now im still rushin' this report and also gotta struggle with another one - Investment - by comin' Friday. And then its exams, and then its graduation!

Ma life's gonna be much better after that. Much better.

Chinese Horoscope 2008 - Tiger
Wednesday, April 2, 2008

This is for those who share the same horoscope as me.....

General
You will be very busy this year and will always be on the move. There will be more traveling. There are even signs of moving house, migration or relocation. How well this year could be for you will depend heavily on yourself because there are not many lucky stars shining on you to provide the conveniences that you might need. The good news is that there are not many obstacles before you to begin with. You will still do very well if you have been giving your best in terms of your career and financial management. You may feel especially emotionally detached this year and would like to have more personal space. This certainly will affect your relationships. The area that deserves your special attention is in the area of health and safety. There is a higher chance of falling ill or being involved in an accident or being hospitalized and having surgery this year. Please take good care of your health and have adequate rest. If you have elderly people at home, be careful of their health and safety too.

Career
In terms of your career, you will be able to perform well if your job or business requires traveling or moving around. You will also be able to do well if you are in sales or you earn on a commission basis. This year, even though you may have a very tight schedule, ensure that you do not make impulsive judgments because there are great opportunities to be had. Do not allow your lack of time to be an excuse to deny yourself of opportunities and benefits that come you way. While you remain open and receptive to success and prosperity, do your own homework and use your wisdom. Do not rely too much on others.

Wealth
This is highly dependent on whether have you been sowing the seeds and utilizing the opportunities that are presented to you. If you have been doing your homework well, rest assured that your wealth luck is favorable.

Relationship
It will be a quiet year for singles. For those who are attached or married, you may spend less time with your partner due to your busy schedule, or you may go into cold wars frequently, or you may even feel emotionally detached from the relationship. There are even signs of a breakup. This year is a challenge for relationships

Health
There is a higher tendency of falling ill this year. Be careful of safety too. For those who have elderly people at home, be cautious of their health and safety too.

People
Do not need to worry about people problems this year.

Action
Put a metallic dragon at your wealth or Gui Ren position. Carry a jade Pixiu.

Ah Xian's 21st
Saturday, March 22, 2008

Finally it was Good Friday, been so angry the past few days i thought i needed a GOOD break!

Attended Xian's 21st birthday celebration at Downtown East yesterday.... needed not bring any present as ive already bought her a bottle of Port wine last November when i came back from Bali. Therefore i went there empty handed, however i left with ma stomach filled with tons of satay, stingray, chicken wings, sausages and cake inside. Hehehe. Yummylicious stingray!

Me and ai ai

Ah Xian bbq-ing

Ai ai wanna snatch the limelight

I still want her in ma pic

Not forgettin' some candid shots......

"Haiyer go away lah!"

"Grrrrrrr"

"Siao ah you, what you laughin' at?!"

I love the money one. I look money-minded, which I indeed am. Hahaha.

Now this looks demure:

So not me. Lol.

Ok, pix with the birthday gal are not out yet as she is still at the chalet right now. So i'll upload it like soon, but still, it depends on her efficiency. Hehe.

Dearie came to pick me up at 10pm. Thanks for sendin' me home!

Good Friday is over, eight more hours to ma shift.

Life with pests around is unbearable.
Saturday, March 15, 2008

Quite pissed off with someone over some matters that happened few days back. What a f***ing waste of ma time and energy, seriously. TOTALLY felt like a fool.

What's with that bo chup attitude, LOR.

Really very, very, irksome.

****

Just yesterday i popped by ICA past 2pm to collect ma IC. Didnt know the collection of IC doesnt even require any queue ticket, so i managed to take mine in just minutes. Proceeded down to the Passport section on the 2nd floor. Super alot of people, man. Got turned off by the crowd so i went to grab the application form and filled it up, pasted ma photo and dumped into the deposit box. 10 bucks saved! Ha!

Typical Singaporean.

But that's the smart way, what.

Had lunch at Beach Rd then travelled all the way to Suntec City by foot. I didnt know it was such a looooong walk or else id have just taken the bus sua! Took bus to work (not so dumb anymore) after withdrawin' some money to return ma 'creditor' (you know who you are, hehe).

After work at night i went to find dearie at the studio, almost lost ma way. Took the bus and alighted at Chinatown Point, and i seriously was quite lost and didnt know where to walk. Fortunately i could recognise buildings and finally i reached the place in like 10 minutes or so. Another long walk, duh!

But not too bad, i got a bar of chocolate in return.

****

Saturday morning, which is this morning, was SUPER busy for me: usher + door bitch. Had to usher the HUGE bunch of parents and their kids who came for their dumbo music theory exam. I had to stand by the door and keep it open coz the doorstopper was gone and the flow was non-stop. NON-STOP, ok. Everyone was like flashin' to me their slips of paper which made me sooo super flustered. And wah lau eh, i really wanted to just flare up at all of them. "WHICH FLOOR?" HEY the paper you were holdin' stated which level and room your kid is supposed to take his/her exam in, what. Y'all illiterate meh? Kao eh!

One of our staff on duty was shouted at by one of the angry parents coz of the chaotic situation. I can remember vividly his last line: "I'm a nobody, actually. But in this case, I'm a somebody." You already shouted so loudly of course you've become a somebody lah, lol.

All of us left work on time and then ma colleague and i proceeded to Raffles City as i wanted to look at Coach wallets. Heart and eyes itchy... hehe. Then we walked to CityLink, saw SurferGirl!!! It reminded me of Bali..... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i miss Bali.

But, no more Bali for the time being....... Im goin' to KL and Ho Chi Minh! In May and July respectively! Cant wait......

The weekends
Monday, March 10, 2008

8 Mar

Relaxing Saturday... hung out with Xian the whole afternoon. Chilled out at McCafe at Shaw for more than an hour doin' what? Gorgin' ourselves on two take-aways of eight Japanese tako balls each (thats like eight tako balls for each of us) and a cup of caramel frappe for me and himalayan tea frappe for her. Wah, like what? Mini TAI-TAI. HAHA. But never officially reach that stage yet lah.

Then we went to Isetan Scotts coz this gal wanted to get a lipstick or lip gloss. Went round and round for an hour coz she couldnt make up her mind which to get. Gosh! You have no idea how tired ma feet were. Then coincidentally i bumped into ma secondary school friend. Kept on callin' "Siew Ching!...... Siew Ching!....... Siew Ching!....." hahah. Crappy fella.

From there we headed to Taka. Thought of buyin' a square wallet as ive always been usin' long wallets and kinda sick of them. We went to look at Guess wallets however i thought they looked fake. And then we stopped at the Coach boutique coz there was a short queue outside and to satisfy our curiosity we decided to check out the items inside. HA! Saw some very nice wallets and they cost like 449. We settled for one of the wallets and gonna buy it together with our first full-time pay (provided they still have that design by then!).

Today

Was at dearie's place earlier and right after havin' lunch, ma stomach ached all of a sudden and it was that kind of pain that makes one almost wanna roll on the bed. But coz he was about to be late for his lesson and nobody was at home, i thought id better not go to the loo. Then when we were goin' out, his grandpa returned home and the pain wasnt very intense. So i took a cab back home however i didnt manage to take that cab all the way to my house. I had to ask the cabbie to drive me to the nearest shopping mall as i really couldnt take it anymore. Ahhhh!! I ended up at Beauty World. Luckily the cubicle was clean and had toilet paper hahaha. What a terrible ache.

And today's the start of a new working and schooling week. Projects, work, stress. Inevitable.
