Friendly Super Bowl Wager
For the past few years my dad and I have done a friendly Super Bowl Wager. Usually my team-the Patriots-have been in the Super Bowl and so they have been great for me, because they usually win (except for last year when they lost to the Giants. Stupid Giants!) The time before that the Bears were in it and that is Jason's favorite team, as well as, my Dad's. So that was a fun one too...well not so much because the Bear's lost, but it was fun for them to make it to the SB!(and it wasn't fun because the Colts beat the Pat's for the SB spot. Stupid Colts! Those Manning boys are getting on my nerves.) The last time I remember doing something my dad lost and had to keep his gotee (sp?) off. I didn't really care about that, I actually like it. I knew my mom didn't like it because it scratches when they kiss. I agree and so Jason has a clean shaven face or no kissy-kissy. I don't remember what I had to do last year when the Pat's lost. Anyway, this year I don't care about either team in the SB. Neither the Pat's or the Bears are in it (Stupid Dolphins!). So, I decided to spice things up this year to make it interesting so that I'll enjoy watching it with my hubby. This year I am going for the Steelers and my Dad is praying for the Cardinals. It really bugs my dad that I like my hair short...really short. So, if I win he has to pay for my next haircut and he can't say one negative thing about my hair for the whole year! If he wins I have to grow my hair out for a year. That means no cutting, only trimming. (I think Jason really wants the Cardinals to win for the same reason!) So, we'll see who's prayers get answered.
Maddie always asks what team her dad is "cheering up" on the t.v. She'll say "Dad, I'm cheering up the white team. What team are you cheering up?"
So, my question to you is, which team are you cheering up? The Bruce Newbold Long and Luscious or the Cara Childs Short and Sweet?

I've been facebooked
Well, unfortunately I have now joined facebook. I have a lot of friends on there and in order for me to see what they are doing I had to join myself. So, for those of you who care about it I'm on there. I don't have a profile picture up yet or anything and I'm directing all who go there to come over to my blog instead. I promise you I will not be doing much with facebook. I'll be doing it all over on this blog. So, if any of you are new and found me from facebook send me a comment and let me know you are here! To the rest of my few faithful followers, I ALWAYS love hearing your comments. Darn it! I was hoping to avoid the whole facebook thing!

What once was lost, now is Found!
So, this morning I couldn't find my cell phone. I called it twice to listen for it and I couldn't hear it. So I thought that the battery was dead, which didn't make sense because it was full yesterday. I asked Emma and she didn't know where it was. I felt like a part of me was gone and I sat at Maddie's school for 30 minutes because I didn't know what time it was after our library class because the clock in my van doesn't work and I use the clock on my phone, which I didn't have. So I pick up Mad's from school and I asked her if she knew where my phone was.
Mom: Do you know where my cell phone is?
Maddie: No, but I heard someone's phone at my school. Maybe it was yours.
Mom: You heard a phone at school? Where? (At this point I'm a little suspicious)
Maddie: At my school.
Mom: I know at your school, but where at your school?
Maddie: I don't know. Julianna brought a phone to school but the teacher made her turn it off.
(So now, I think maybe it was that phone...and maybe not)
We get home and I decide to try calling it one more time. We listen and follow the sound right into...Maddie's backpack. I pulled it out and said
Mom: Well no wonder you heard a phone ringing this morning. It was in your backpack. How did it get in there Maddie?
Maddie: I don't know. Maybe when we were all asleep it jumped in there.
Mom: I see. Well, tell the phone not to jump in there anymore.
So, problem solved. Moral of the story, if you've lost something ALWAYS ask your children first if they know where it is. And, if your child hears a cell phone ringing at school chances are it's yours!
Oh, and Nathan rolled over today!! Great day to be a mom!

Criminitley!
Gee Gads! I finally got that background and header changed! So, the pics are from playing in the snow. Jason (my biggest kid of all) is wearing his 18 month-old Nephew's hood to his coat. Sorry Honey, I just had to put it in! Well, so much for my resolution to be on top of scrapping this year. One res broken...three more to go!
Just a little side note. Please do not try to download any part of my background or header. Some of these papers and embellishments...ok...ALL of these papers and embellishments are not mine. If you would like the links to go and download them yourself I will be more than happy to give you those. It's not my hard work...only some of it is. Also, the background paper is supposed to have blue snowflakes all around the border. I can't see them on my screen and so I am wondering if it is the same for you. Please leave me a comment about whether or not you can see them. I have a back-up background just in case.
Good news that I read about today-Taylor (the kid who plays Jacob in Twilight) WILL be in New Moon. There was some talk about him not doing it because of the extreme changes Jacob goes through in the book, but in the article I read on Stephenie's website it said that he "proved" to the director he can do it. Stephenie is excited to have him and so am I! I thought he made a perfect Jacob. So for you other Twilight Junkies out there, sleep well tonight my friends...Jacob will be back!
Ok, can you tell it's late? I just blogged about Twilight again. I'm trying to quit cold turkey...another res gone...one more to go. See you soon. We have some fun events coming up. Don't forget to leave me your comment about the background!
