kwon sang woo at imm/ teachers' day at zps
oh my goodness. yesterday was the most traumatizing day in my entire life!
seriously. imagine squeezing amongst hundreds of hostile people, who were all so engrossed in catching a glimpse of the korean guy that they simply pushed and elbowed you like they wouldn't even be bothered if they caused a stampede. just as long as they could get as close as they could to kwon sang woo. total madness! and these people were all sweating, screaming, some even fighting. in those crowds i really had difficulty breathing.
accompanied my sis to imm yesterday because she wanted to, like the rest, take a look at this korean star in person. and it was purely a "just for fun" decision (which turned out to be not fun at all) because she could never match up to those fans who received him from the airport and followed him all the way from the hotel. we didn't think that he would be so popular too, but the crazy crowds at imm did convince us otherwise.
amidst all the jostling, an auntie made a funny comment. "what are all the men doing here?!" hahaha. there were so many uncles (in their 40s or 50s maybe?) blocking the way, and they had either a digital camera or video cam in their hands, standing by to take shots of the korean star. it's unbelievable, but the place wasn't dominated by females, and even guys chase after their idols like that too. hrmm, or maybe they were just helping their girlfriends/wives take photos? haha, i have no idea man.
and i finally realized that darwin's theory of evolution makes a lot of sense indeed. haha, ok duh, but only the fittest will survive. let's say, in order to survive, we need to catch a glimpse of the korean actor. in this case the tallest people will definitely survive! and they go on to reproduce and pass their favourable traits to the next generation. but people like me and my sis, who tiptoed all the way and jumped and jumped but still couldn't see anything more than kwon sang woo's hair, would definitely be eliminated in this competitive world. if only our bro came along. he's tall enough to take photos for us!
nearing the end, just when kwon sang woo was leaving, my sis managed to catch a glimpse of him! and with that she thought all the hard work was worth it. -.- i didn't get to see his face at all. haha, can see on tv enough liao lor, thank goodness im not crazy over him like huiwen is over hyun bin, or i'll be so disappointed! at least my sis is happy at the end of it all, or it'll really be a wasted trip. :)
oh yar, a bunch of us went back to zhenghua primary for teachers' day celebrations! haha it was really fun catching up with mrs ong. can't believe 6 years just zoomed past like that. the ceiling of the school appeared to be very low, and we were all like giants compared to the puny dwarf-like primary school kids. with time, perspectives change, mindsets change, and people change. if only this change were for the better for every single one of us.

i miss my primary school! i want to go back to those days when we were still dwarfs and didn't have to bother about those problems that giants face..
