Gratitude

I'm just so grateful for the wonderful blessings the Lord has given me. I believe it is extremely important to take a look at what the Lord have provided us with. We get so caught up in what we wear, what we say, how we act, or who we hang out with and not with our spiritual well-being.

Count your blessings. 

Search for ways in which you can make a difference in someone else's life. We all know how it feels to struggle with our insecurities and we all crave to have someone's arm around us, telling us how much we mean to them. So why not do the same to others? Even if they're different... Especially if they're different.  No matter what they look like, no matter who they hang out with, no matter their background, or where they are going with their life, just put your arm around them and let them know you care. Everyone wants to feel included in the world, that's what we strive for, to be accepted. Think of someone in particular.... think of that one person you who is just a little different... think of the one you have made fun of you... the one who dresses funny, talks different, is annoying.. and make a difference in their life.  just because they may be different doesn't mean they don't feel the insecurities of a High-Schooler!!!!!! My goal is to compliment someone everyday on something specific, TRY IT! See how it can make a difference in their life, and especially in yours. Tear down the barriers set up by society and become the kind of person the Lord would be pleased of.

Happy Thanksgiving

Today has been a wonderful day! it's thanksgiving and we've spent time with family! Here is a video we made. I love my family and i am so grateful for them!!!!

The Blood Drive!!

Yesterday i had the opportunity to give blood! Boy was it fun! I was a bit nervous since i have never done it before and i wasn't with my mom! ( I don't know what i do without her! She always makes me feel better about things-love her!) But i was with Chloe, which was awesome too! The finger prick probably hurt the most, and i didn't look at the needle when they put it in. The guy helping me was very kind to not let me see the needle! I'm sure he was getting annoyed because i kept telling him I don't really like to look at needles and blood because i pass out!  He didn't say much, but i kept assuring him it was possible!  Chloe kept telling and describing to me what everything looked like, she's so great! :)(sarcastic) haha The whole process was fantastic though! After i was all finished i really wanted some yummy apple juice and cookies at the table so i got up to go get them. I was perfectly fine reaching down into the cooler to pick up the juice and opening it, but the instant i stood up, the blood left my head faster than Niagara falls, i swear!!! It all went blurry and i knew what was happening! Luckily i made it to the chair where the guy could tell i was losing it! (I warned him!!)  Once on the chair i passed out! It was actually quite fun! :) I could still hear everyone talking around me but it was really dark and i remember the ice pack they put behind my neck and on my chest felt so relieving! It was nice. Once i finally could see and get up i started walking out, didn't even make it to the door before i had to lay down again! I am so grateful Ashlyn was there with me so she could drive my car :) I love her! I had a wonderful time giving blood. Even though it was hard for my body to handle i felt so happy that i was helping two people just with one donation! Serving others brings such a happiness to my life and i feel so grateful for good health and the ability to donate! :) I'm looking forward to it in a few months! :) Only this time, i'm bringing a wheel chair for myself! haha Plus i got an awesome yellow bandage on my arm!!  yippee!!

Family pictures!  The weather up in the canyon was awesome and the leaves were beautiful! If you haven't gone up there you need to do it!

Life is good

Sometimes life knocks you down, and you think that life cannot get any worse.

When you try to get back up, it knocks you down harder. You're stuck for time that seems like forever. You feel as though this will never end. But something keep you going.

A light keeps you hopeful, a dream keeps you alive, and a desire gets you on your feet again.
Your trials become your strengths. And overtime, life starts to get better.

And then you get to a point where you feel that life cannot get any better...
trust me, it can!

I especially enjoy this picture because it really helps one see the world in different, more positive perspective.

General Conference

I was lucky enough to go to the Saturday morning session of general conference with Chris! I had never been before so I didn't know what to expect but i had a wonderful time! The spirit was so strong being in the conference center, let alone walking around on Temple Square!! It was a totally different experience being at the actual place where they are speaking than sitting at home on the couch. I felt as though i was more alert, and attentive. It went by all too fast, and i was sad that it was over. But i had an exceptional time!

The Hunting Club

A bunch of my friends went up to Wasach Wing and Clay and did a bunch of fun things! We started with shooting Clay Pigeons at different stations out in the acres somewhere! Riding on the back of the truck from place to place was quite the adventure! We made hamburgers and laughed! We even got to watch Jaxon and Dad shoot a pheasant! And our wonderful Sadie dog retrieved it so well! I'm so grateful for my friends! I love them all. I have so much fun with them all and look up to them!!! Thanks for comin guys!

Funniest Photo booth pictures...

Tor and i took the funniest pictures on photo booth. We were just laughing and laughing at them. I debated whether or not to put them on, and decided, why not! hahaha. Love you tor!

Homecoming

Homecoming was literally a dream come true! I had such a wonderful time, and so many reasons why. First of all, Erik Webb asked me! And that alone was probably one of the greatest moments ever! We were also paired up together for royalty and we got to get to know each other as we did our different events for it. The night of the football game came along...there was a lot of excitement in the air! Mercedes was also a part of Royalty and it made it all the more fun to share the excitement with her. We both rushed from practice and had to get dressed really quick, but soon met up in the big gym! We FINALLY drove out in our nice cars out onto the field. Everyone was smiling and saying hi as though you were famous. It was actually quite fun! Then announced our names.. then they said "And your 2011 Homecoming King and Queen are..." (suspense) "Erik Webb and Chelsea Clayton!" AHHH! screaming, cheering, crying, laughing, disbelief, excitement, and a lot of smiling! So here are some pictures from that night.

I LOVE these girls so much. i am so grateful for both of them. I wouldn't be the same without their examples! I am so grateful i have them both in my life. Im so grateful

I love Mercedes to much. She is such a strong example of doing whats right. I am so glad that i have her in my life and that i get to spend just about every day with her! She is so talented and awesome at everything she does. I admire her kindness towards everyone around her! I love you babes!
