Christmas 24-25 Dec 2008

Its been as long as 8 years since we last celebrate Christmas today. We celebrate with a whole company of people 8 years ago at his house..haha..still deep in our memories..Thats our 1st Christmas..3 years ago we got together and haven't had the chance to celebrate it together each year..This year is an exception. Finally he no need to work! And the best part is it's unplanned. it's so last minute..Although i know it myself that he did not plan it deliberately to accompany me but at least we are together on Christmas. I am already glad for that. I received a message from him around 5pm that he would accompany me to Orchard as I commented before that he has never accompany me to Orchard on Xmas. I rejected as I know that it will be damn crowded!

He suggested going to the movies..I'm thrilled as he finally take the initiation to plan! We went for dinner at Newton Circles as I missed the grilled food!! We patronise the same stall - Good Man Grill & Seafood. Next we went to The Cathay as we have never been to one of the cinema " Grand Cathay"..haha.. So I bought tickets for " Twilight" at 12am..what a timing..

After movie,we went back home and as we walked home, he handed me a beautifully wrapped box..wat a surprise as I never thought that I will have a pressie from him as its been some time since we last exchange gifts and i did not prepare for him as well.. Happy..The poor bear has been in the boot for 2 days!

Unwrapped the pressie at home as he keep commenting how expensive the box & ribbons are..haha..very typical of him..But after I know the price of the box, I flipped! It's $18 for a damn box!! Although it's harder that usual box, it's gold with shimmering but I still think it's exhorbitant!

Do i really know you well enough? Do you know me well enough as well?

These questions have been on my mind for some time and i finally have my answers today.

These few days have been a struggle to me but obviously a breeze to you. I have nothing much to say to you now because i am really amazed by the questions that you bombarded me as I finally realised from the questions how much you understand me.

I dun deny that some of your assumptions are right but i really dun like the way you are handling things.. Apology for the wrong reason is not the way to close a case, it is just avoidance and i admit that its my fault for not telling you the reason of me being angry. But its because, when i tell you we will have an argument, if i dun tell you, things like this happened. We can never have a peaceful talk! Its always arguments with raised voice and not TALK! I am so sick of it thats why i chose not to tell you things that i dislike anymore. I am not accepting the things that i dislike from you just that i chose to voice my anger by being silent! why i adopt this way? Cause I wan a TALK not an argument!! So if this can't be materialised, i rather shut up and dun talk about it!

I remembered telling you before i have high expectations of my partner and you accepted the challenge and after 3 years this is what I get. I dun deny i can see changes from you and i also dun deny "No one is perfect". I have my flaws too..But..

3 years have passed and more issues are popping out from us..i cant help but ask myself :
Are we really meant to be??

A Letter to All Men

Have you ever thought that why women are tempermental at times ?

Because : It depends on what you did!!!

Please do not assume that all women are stupid and easily fooled. In fact we are watching you all the time its that you are not aware..( women are good in that)
Things that you do will directly affect our mood.

E.g: why can't we wear our favourite dress although its revealing?We have the asset to flaunt! Its every guy's phrase that they do not want to expose us to other guys..BUT how about when you are ogling at other gals??Have you ever thought of how their partner felt when you are eyeing on their gf's revealing cleavage or ultra short mini skirt with the intention to see what is beneath??
So women thinking that since men like to see women in those outfit, might as well they wore it and let their partner see! Sad to say...men like the excitement of seeing something forbidden than something that is easily available! I do not deny that scientifically proven its in every men's genes that you are programmed to look at women at all times..BUT we women are programmed to detect that as well! Heaven is fair..So please do not think that things that you do will go undetected!

Another Classic Example: Feign Ignorance

Please do not feign ignorance infront of us! We can see it right through you just that we give you the benefit of doubt! If you dare to do it, Admit it!! I do not deny that women feign ignorance at times as well.

5 December 2008 - Day of Eating & Eating & Eating

Its a Friday! Today we have a post D&D comittee lunch at Ah YAt Seafood..8 of us and lots of food!

My Fav Dish in the whole pile of food..BO LUO PAO!! Its really nice..its crispy with char siew filings and the fillings are as fine as those Tiong Bahru Pao! I simply love it..

After Lunch..we have to depart to Vivo for our monthly HR Dept gathering..Today we are going to watch Quantum of Solace at the GOld Class..We booked the whole cinema from 4.25pm to 6pm.

Haha...we simply never miss any chance to take shots..Show sucks..Abrupt ending..Popcorn not sweet..Blanket very warm..heehee..

Last night, its our annual D&D.. Its being held at Orchard Hotel..Theme is Bollywood Night. I bought my pink saree at Little India with Dear's help..He helped me "racky" for cheap saree..I got mine for $38.. Bling sandals at $59..Accessories at around $20..

We enjoyed ourselves throughout the night and i end the party at around 1am..as i am freaked out by my heavily hair sprayed hair!!I didnt managed to get any prizes from the lucky draw..Not lucky enough..My twin ( Lena Lee ) won herself a Casio Camera..and Wendy won a Singapore Flyers Express Boarding Tickets for 4..haha..we planned the price and we got it..amusing..

Dear fetch me & Lena Lee home and the removing of makeup & hair took me 2 hours.. i think i used up 1/3 of the conditioner to make my hair smooth enough to wash with shampoo!! Slept at around 5am in the morning! Tired ....Yawn..

Dinner at Long Beach

Last 2 weeks, we treat our Houston guests to Long Beach for dinner..Had lots of seafood but the food there is not as good as Jumbo..

This Is Lena Lee & Me..Same Name & spelling except for different surname.She is my Comp & Ben Manager..We got along rather well and she always say I am very fierce to her! Recently she lost her diamond ring due to her dieting plans...poor thing but i believe she has her lesson learnt! As she has decided not to diet as of then...good move..

This is Judy Goh,my Singapore HR Manager..Very Ah Lian..haha..She is a member of our Pink Bitch Club as well..

This is Julia Shim,my Expat Resident from Malaysia..previously from Perth office as Sector Controller..

Busy Week Ahead

Tomorrow is the start of a new week and its going to be busy..Have to clear my backlog that are piling on my table, go buy the last minute prizes for my D&D, have to prepare to make sure that all is well as its going to be my 1st D&D that i am involved in it so i will do my best..My lovely colleagues helped me with wrapping the presents last week..i m so touched! They could choose to go home at 1pm last Friday but they stayed till 3pm to help me with it! They are the ladies from the Pink Bitch Club..and i am proud to say that I am one of the members! heehee...

I will have to go get the red wine bags, Singapore Flyers vouchers & Jewel Box vouchers..I think i will collect the vouchers on Tuesday during lunch time..Saturday is our Bollywood night and i have got my Saree ready..Hair, Makeup & Saree tying will be done by one of my Indonesian colleague..so sweet of her to help. Actually the colleagues in this company is really great! Even the Managers are great!

I am still contemplating to invite Dear to my D&D as I am afraid that he will be bored there as he doesnt know anyone there and i know how he will feel.. So i will leave it to him.BUT i made him promise to pick me up regardless if he is attending the D&D or not!!

Dear is going for an important appointment tomorrow at 2pm..

Blessing in Disguise

LAst week was a good week...DEar accompanied me for the whole weekend..( Fri to Sun).. Simply love it! It has been some time since he accompanied me that long..

Went to Changi Airport on Saturday nite as he said that there are Disney lighting..so we brought Veron & mum along as well...BUt... we met with an accident on SLE approaching CTE..Xiaohei was being hit by a BMW..

Everyone was fine but i think i suffered a neck injury which is known as whip lash..but am recovering now..3 days of MC...the headache is making me irritated..Dear send Xiaohei for repair and intend to spray a new coat of paint for it..contemplating between metallic grey and offwhite..Actually he intend to give Xiaohei a new coat of paint on January but since he is claiming for insurance from the other party, he will do it now..so no cost involve for him..Blessing in Disguise..The BMW driver is so cool about the accident, he 1st thing he check is not the car but the passenger if all of us are ok..so gentleman! Dear also handle the situation very well..with no quarrels but smiles on his face ( rare scene).. who could still smile after an accident!!!

BUt the both party settle it amicably... after which we proceed to CHangi to see the lightings..as Dear assure us its alright to proceed as he has secure Xiaohei's ass well with the ropes..haha..When we reached, we realise we have been had! its only a few Disney lightings along the way! Nevertheless, Veron was rather excited about it and keep saying:"Mickey Mouse ah"..Trying to make him forget the accident but he still mumble: " Naughty Gor Gor wear white shirt knock Kerry Gor Gor's Car". i guessed it must have leave an impact on him! Poor Boy..

Proceed to Changi Hawker Centre for dinner before having our regular mahjong session at home! Although the lighting is disappointing but i appreciate DEar's effort to bring me there..heehee

Sunday, we went to JB for Bah kut teh and back to SG for our MJ again!

Do You Believe in Miracle??

Last Sunday (9/11/2008), went with dear to Bugis as we need to pray for my Grandma.

I have been instructed to buy 9 Lotus flower candles and pray with 9 joss sticks to the Goddess of Mercy. Purpose is to let Grandma leave in peace and with no torture and pain. I know this may sound so superstitious to some of you but I rather try den sit and see...

Reach Bugis in a hot afternoon, went to check out the praying area...too bad no buring of candles is allowed in the vicinity of the temple. Therefore i called up Dad for help and he suggested Shuang Lin Temple at Toa Payoh..

We met up there and started our praying and proceed to visit my Grandma. As of Sunday. she is still in a daze, no appetite,no strength to talk much as well...

However.....

Joyce and Dad updated me on the her status on Monday(10/11/2008) as they visited her while I have to go make purchase for D&D Prizes..This is what they tell me:

• able to sit upright
• able to eat
• able to scold the nurse!!

Wow! All these are enough to make me feel that there are improvements! Last 2 days when i visited her, I feel that there are improvements from last week's condition.

Last night before i fall asleep, i began to think of the praying process and i cant help think that maybe Goddess of Mercy has heard and answered my prayers.. orelse who can give me a better answer to why there is such a rapid improvement in just a day!!

Sunway Lagoon : 10-10-2008

**1st Day **

Its his Birthday and I had planned a getaway for us to Sunway..as usual he drives & i sleep..heehee..stopping for breakfast at our favourite Bah Kut Teh store in JB & lunch at A&W along the highway for my Rootbeer FLoat!

WE checked into the Sunway Resort & Suites. I booked a suite there as the price is reasonable and i feel that that is something new compared to only a room with only a bed n toilet!

The suite is equipped with a kitchen & balcony..so actually i plan to cook for him but.......

After leaving the zoo, we went to the long bridge that hangs above the pools..its secured by iron rods and wooden planks, we took 10 mins to finish from 1 end to the other. I am so terrified that I might fall if I lie back on the rod..





See the distance, we are on the halfway when we took the pictures. Take note of the wooden planks..Dear assured me that this is very secure as this type of wood will only be stronger after contact with water..He is so knowledgeable about all this stuff..

That is why I always say we complement each other! He never fail to tell me things to add into my general knowledge..

Deren & Esther 25/10/2008

Went to attend Esther's wedding on 25/10/2008, held at Pan Pacific Ballroom. She is my ex-colleague whom get along very well with me. My 1st impression of her is she is damn "dao"..so is her impression of me! But after a few chat, we clicked.

I remembered we buy soccer bets, eat breakfast,diet & gossip about others together!
Remember the 'pig' whom we often used to gossip about? heehee..those were the days..
I left the company after 2 years there and she left shortly after as well and join her current company where she met her beau..

I feel genuinely happy for her really..finally she get married to someone whom she loves and i know is able to take care of her financially & emotionally. She been through alot and i know..

Work vs Me

It has been a longtime since i last blog..and this entry has to be so GROUCHY!

Things i dun understand..

• Why is work always 1st priority to you??
• Its always a failed attempt to ask you to be my partner when i have functions!
• Even if you reject your work bcos of me, u will not be happy either cos of the loss of $$!
• Therefore you make me very contradictive as you are not sensitive at all!!!
• If you accompany me instead of work, you will not be happy..IF you reject me "N" times becos of work, I m unhappy!! SO TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!
• I am not asking you to accompany me to all functions, but cant you make it a point to attend some?? Why is it always the same old phrase from you " I cant confirm if I am working??"" I damn f***ing hate this phrase! Cos it simply means that if you have to work on that day den you cant go with me!!! WHAT IS THIS???????
• I am the one who "book" you 1st and yet I have to be on the waiting list!!!
• SO are you trying to tell me to find another male partner?????????
• YOU TELL ME! If this is not work more important than me, what is this???????????

I am damn unhappy about the way you handle this!

I always place priority for u but what about u??

I know no one is perfect & flawless but i really hate the phrase " I cant confirm if I am working" You better change this phrase before i scream at you when i hear this again!!!

12 Lotus

Watched 12 Lotus with my parents today..

From critics & friends i heard that its not a nice show,but i still went as my parents love this type of Singapore movies..After watching it, i feel that its not as bad lah..maybe I am of Hokkien dialect and I am able to better understand the songs they sing so from there i feel that its rather good..although the song 12 lotus have nothing to do with the story they are potraying.

But mum interpret it to me that actually the director/producer of the movie is trying to say that the female lead has led a poor life as the song and not that the song is interpreting the story of the movie..Well,sounds reasonable though..

Some people may think that singing & listening to Hokkien songs are very "low class"..But Hokkien songs are just like any other dialect songs e.g Cantonese songs..If people could proudly sing Cantonese songs in KTV, why cant they project the same thinking on Hokkien songs?

In KTV, I always like to sing Hokkien songs but due to my limitations of Hokkien songs I always stick to the few. I think that Hokkien songs are very straight to the point and close to my heart, so i am able to inject more feelings into it.heehee..

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Actually we wanted to go Gold Class for our 3rd year Anniversary but we can't managed to get the tickets on Wednesday. So we went on Thursday.

Its our 2nd time to Gold Class..The 1st time is 3 yrs ago where its also mark the start of our relationship. But this time round, the tickets & popcorn combo are free! Proudly sponsored by one of my friend.Thank You! You know who you are..

We watched "The Mummy 3". Its being commented by friends & critics that its not a very nice show but to me its ok..Maybe because i enjoyed the seat & blanket more than the show! Haha..
We bought a $9.40 ( including 10% service charge & GST) Evian Palace water as well while in the show as I saw it and knowing me rather well, Dear agree to buy for me..But i know he is not very willing lor cos to him its $9.40 for a 750ml of plain water! But to me, I like beautiful things thats why i want it!

Watching show in Gold Class is really enjoying but expensive! $25 for a ticket on weekday and $30 for weekend! As my priority now is different so I will not spend this big amt of $$, luckily its free so that we can also revive the experience once again!

Happy 3rd Year Anniversary to us!

One of my colleague Deborah is going for maternity leave, therefore the bosses decided to throw a lunch for her at Singapore's very first microbrewery Paulaner Brahaus @ Millenia Walk.

The Whole HR department around 20 odd of us went excluding the bosses whom are stuck in Houston for the Harmonization meeting.

Lunch is normal as there are choices of set meals to choose from but i make the wrong choice - Chicken with rosti..its chicken breast meat! I hate breast meat!

Thats why dear always let me have the thigh meat and he will eat the breast meat if we are having chicken rice!

Anyway its National Day Today! But its raining cats and dogs outside, hope it will be fine by 5pm! Orelse the parade will be affected. But it doesnt affect me as I dont watch them..haha.
