Honey & Extra Virgin Olive Oil Mask
Tada!!! Just did the easiest of the easiest type of homemade masks with ingredients I found from my kitchen!
I have always found homemade masks as a way more effective remedy than those typical paper masks filled with so much substance, you wouldn't want to overload your skin with them (meaning more than twice a week). From hearsay, I do know that commercial paper masks should be used sparingly if possible, e.g for a quick fix during your travels... Those stuff are packed with THAT much substance. If I wasn't that tight on budget, I would have gone with my favourite mask which also requires fresh strawberries, yoghurt and organic oatmeal (http://cherrymasquerade.blogspot.sg/2011/04/chants-for-macbook.html)...but then again, it totally wouldn't hurt to try this cost effective method inspired by Michelle's 1 minute honey & olive oil mask and see if it works for me!
P/s: note that I didn't microwave the product
Pp/s: after slathering a thin layer of it all over my face, some of the product still dripped onto my shirt, so do beware of the runny texture which may be hard to hold up on your skin.
Hope my photo below helps to demonstrate the texture of the mask. I went by the ratio of:
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Note: a lot of product was leftover, so it is advisable to mix an even smaller amount than what I did to ensure less product wastage (and my face is definitely not small).
