Poor Cade and Cheyanna had to attend our ward's Trunk or Treat with the Speelmons because it was the same day as Carson's wisdom teeth removal and Charlie's Senior night for cheerleaders at the football game at Skyline. Here they are in their costumes, ready to go. They had fun! So glad we have good friends to help out when we have to be too many places at once. Oct 24, 2014

Carson Wisdom Teeth Out
Carson got his wisdom teeth out on Oct 24, 2014. He had quite an ordeal leading up to getting the surgery. He had to be fasting, but when we got there and read the patient info about the surgery (details about blood and pain), he started feeling really queasy. Poor guy, he does not do well with anything dealing with blood or sickness! So he felt sick to his stomach and started throwing up. Once he started throwing up, he couldn't seem to stop! The surgeon was concerned--wondering if he might have a stomach bug. They waited a little while, and then suggested rescheduling for another day. I was adamant that they go ahead and proceed. Carson was only queasy because he was nervous and then read all that stuff about blood oozing and dry sockets. So finally they gave him some anti-nausea medication in his IV and that settled him down and then he felt fine and went to sleep and the surgery went great! He wasn't talking much nonsense after surgery. He's such a good patient! After Charlie's drama complaining of being in pain so much, Carson's recovery was much faster and he didn't really complain at all. Sweet boy!

Daddy Daughter trip to the Y
Chuck takes one of our kids each year with him on a trip to BYU to visit his friend, Mark Greenwood, and to attend a BYU football game. This year was Cheyanna's turn. She loved the trip! Chuck and Cheyanna got to see our niece, Madeline, since she is attending BYU. :)

Cruisin during October Break
We had the best time on our family cruise during October break. Dina wanted to send me and Chuck somewhere special to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I told her I would really rather take the kids with us, so she bought the whole family tickets for a cruise! We drove to LA, and then the ship went to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. We didn't even get off the boat at Catalina Island. We just enjoyed the pool, the sun, the food, the entertainment, and relaxed! The kids all stayed together in one room and Chuck and I had a nice, balcony room all to ourselves. It was the best family vacation ever!!
It was a Carnival Cruise ship. |

The comedy shows were the best. |

Charlie's Height Comes in Handy
I got tired of the red wall in our front room, so my Mia Maids came over and helped me pick out a new color of paint. Charlie was a huge help with paining the top edge. It was so nice not to have to use a stool or ladder! Sometimes being 5'8" comes in handy. Also, you can pick up your little sister and easily tote her around. :)
Look at that smile! She loves it. |
