Carson made the National Academic League team at Smith his 7th grade year! His team did really well, and it was fun to watch the competitions. It is basically a quiz game where the students are competing against another school's team. The students buzz in with their answers. There are four quarters in each game, and each has a different format of play. Carson earned a starting spot on the team by the end of the season, and he earned the "game brain" award for the final game.
