A new year. A new beginning. Times flies fast when people are getting older. That’s how I feel. During school times, the June & Dec school holiday always seem to take very long to arrive. But now, one year passes very fast after another. And my age is going to change from 2X to 3X soon. I don’t wannnntttt!!!! Can time stop?!?! Hahaa..
Anyway I’m going to set some resolutions for this year so that when I looked back my life, at least I accomplished some of my goals in life.
a) Lose 5kgs by exercising. Swimming is probably the best form of exercise for me. I can’t jog as I pant very easily.
b) Pass my second year modules and get some of my desired gradings.
c) Visit Sihan in UK with Bee & Meizhi this year. Hope that this trip will not be delay anymore.
d) Try to read widely as many as possible to improve my English and knowledge.
That’s all I can think of now.
For 2008, I also look forward to attend my 3 close’s friend’s weddings. Friends are important to me. I don’t need many of them. Just a few close friends will do and I really cherish them. Only close friends will share the happiest and sad moments in your life.
I do feel the gap widening when some of my close gal friends got married or even have kids of their own. Although we are not close as compared as before, hope that at least we can try to catch up during gatherings at times.
But seem like during gatherings, the topics brought up were very different too, somehow feel very distant and strange to me. Because nowadays it’s about renovation, buying furniture/flats and discussing about their kids talk. The topic might be common to discuss for those couples who are getting married or already married. At times, I do feel alienated. It’s not a very nice feeling to be sitting there listening to their talks when you do not know what to contribute.
When I try talking about my own stuff, seem like it was gone unheard. Esp when most of them are in pairs n I’m the only single. Oh well, guess that can’t be helped. Just don't ignore my presence.
Anyway hopefully, I will be able to fulfill my resolutions this year. Achieving it will give me a sense of achievement and makes my life happier. Cheers!
