Merry Xmas

Isn't this Xmas tree cute? Different from the usual Xmas tree. Ha.. It's made up of white colored, red colored and green colored bears!

Took this pic at Taka when I was doing some of my xmas shopping!

The crowd in orchard was horrible... So many people rushing around n i was one of them too!

Was stopping for a while to catch my breath and observe the xmas decoration in orchard. Hmm, so colourful~ Doesn't have any xmas feel at all..

I still prefer the blue n silver combination lightings.

Anyway, Merry Xmas to all~ N may it be a blessed new year in front of us! Ho ho ho...

太不公平了!

Today is Xmas eve.

And now, I’m still in the office when almost all of my friends have already knocked off at noon!!

Duhz.. that’s really really sianz.

Why can’t my Boss be a big-hearted guy and give us half day leave as well?!?!Selfish and calculative guy who's currently enjoying himself in Japan. Duhz......

He really thinks that we should work like robot and work non-stop like his precious workers in the factory. Old-fashioned type of mind set!

I bet he never heard this quote before. “A happy worker is a productive one”. Now it’s all about giving your employees benefits and how to make them be committed at work for the company’s best interest. Instead he makes us feel very demoralized and came up with funny ideas to make us dread coming to work day by day!

Worst thing is that the economy is so bad, I can’t even leave even if I want to NOW. Damn! Well, got to take one step at a time then. Save as much as I can and even if the worst happens, I still can continue my studies at ease.

Current mood : Totally no mood to work. Demoralized.

My 100th post - Dec 2008

Wooo... it's my 100th post since i started my blog. I admit that I hasn't been writing much . But I'm been trying to add 1 or 2 entries every month whenever I got inspiration.

Here's a happy news to share with those reading my blog - My bestie, Cindy is 5 month pregnant le! The last time I met her to celebrate her birthday together with her hubby, her stomach was still not that obvious.

:: Cindy's present (from Paris) from BS ::

From this photo, can see that her bb is being well-fed wor.. heehee.. It will be an April baby angel. Now Aihuey and Cindy are guessing whether will she come to this world on Aihuey’s bday.

Also, in another week time, I’ll be having xmas gathering with my babes friends, Trix n another at Cel’s house.. So looking forward to the many gatherings! Oh shucks, N I haven’t start my xmas packing and still got one more present left to get. *stress* Need to get something different for this gang of friends( Cindy’s classmates) as I always end up getting the same present for the last 2 years. Hahaa..Ok Ok… I heard the feedback le! Hopefully I’ll be able to find one soon. It’s not easy to buy a unisex present loh… :P

Europe Trip(Oct 08)

Almost a month went by since I came back from Europe n I also too lazy to write the full details
of what we have done during the trip. So here's a brief one then.
London:
- Weather was too cold in the morning n evening, cranky and sometimes so hot in the afternoon altot it was supposed to be autumn!
- Everything so expensive!! I topped up my farecard with 5-6 pounds almost every day in London. Even buying a mineral bottle at Boots(their watson over there) cost me 1 pound( which is around S$2.50) . Imagine buying one bottle once every 2 days...
- we went up the london eye! We were like "BBQ" chicken inside.. so hot as Mr Sun happen to be so sunny that day. I didn't enjoy the view much. One tix cost about S$45.00.
- we went St James park. There were squarriels n birds all around in the park. Ah zhi were so excited n feeding the squarriels with nuts but they dun quite like it.
Along the way, we visit Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Picadilly Circus, changing of the guards at the Guard house(luckily we went there on time to view their last changing duty at 4pm! The horse was magnificent tall) and Harrods at Knightsbridge.
- we wore cool clothes! (summer-clothes, winter-clothes, summer-clothes, autumn-clothes)
- We visit Topshop almost everyday when we went town. Not to shop but to use their toilet! Hahaha... well, toilets are not easily found in london.
Sot he theory we come up with was : just use toilet whenever there is one even though u have no urge. :P
- we discovered tat we LOVE primarks and H&M and we spent a fortune at these 2 places.
- Taking their tube(MRT) was amazing. I saw people throwing newspaper, bottles n can drinks at the back of their seats. Oh ya.. they also eat on the train as well. So unhygience as im scared it will attract cockroach! I will freak out if i saw one on the ride. But luckily i saw none... phew...

Paris:
- Our fav destination during the trip! We love the place~
- we went to eiffel tower and it rained and we were like crazy women trying to take photos in the cold cold rainy weather... I got smacked by my own brolly n Ah zhi was crouching on the muddy flr in the rain tyring to snap pics of the pretty blue tower...
- Nutella crepe was just so-so only. Someone told me it's a must-eat item over there... I'm not really a chocolate lover.
- we love Luxemborg garden! we bought Mac there by the pond, admiring the flowers and people... so relaxing~
- we love Notre Dame church! both of us agree whole heartedly that Notre Dame is the most beautiful church we ever been to. we even went there twice coz we liked it so much! also the bell tower was nice despite all the steps we had to climb.. keke
- we went up the arc de triompe, one of France's most recognizable symbols. It was built by Napoleon I- a monument to his army and his own military genius. It was a wonderful view of the city, tower and Champs Elysee.
- we shopped as if money fell from the sky...... we went to so many LV and Gucci shops...
- Sacré-Coeur, a famous white pastry like architecture and another of our fav church. It is located on top of the Montmartre Hill, one of the highest points in Paris.
There are many small cafes, village like streets and squares, and restaurants down the hill.
- Not to forget the famous Lourve Museum. I only know there's a Mona Lisa Painting inside. To me, the amazing part about this painting was her eyes ( I know her smile was named the beautiful one). No matter which angle you were standing to view the painting, her eyes were looking straight back at you. eerie.. lotsa paintings, sculptures, stones as well. Very Arty place.

Italy:
- Sirmione! I love the place. Damn happy to see the lovely sea surrouding this town. It had castles and roman ruins too! (I realise I dun really like stones, ruins... dunnoe how to appreciate them. Ha...)
- Venice was a disappointment, not a romantic place to me at all. Perhaps of the grey. gloomy weather. Only shopping for those lovely pendants can cheer us up that day.
- Too many pizza and pasta for meals are making us sick. I miss chinese food! I miss soupy mee!
- Most well-known monuments in Verona are the Arena and Juliet’s balcony.
- Paying to use their toilets in italy was something I would nv forget in my life. Freaking 8 euros! It's free in singapore loh! Kaoz...

*Can really feel the hurt of it when 吴克群 is singing this song*

Back to Reality

My 2 weeks holiday in Europe have ended in a flash... but I'm actually glad to be back for once! It's true!

Perhaps, I wasn't quite used to the cold weather over there and after a week later, I missed wearing shorts and slippers basking in the lovely warm sun. Some of the food weren't to my liking. This shows that I'm a typical Chinese who can't live without rice n oh ya, chilli was one of the missed item as well. Luckily dear godsis got whipped up some delicious Chinese cuisine during our short stay at her house. Muacks...

Apart from all these, wearing those big coats, scarf around my neck n matching those cool boots going out the streets was kinda smart and cool. Hahaa... Definitely no such chance of doing that in Singapore hot weather at all. Will sweat like a pig LOH!

Out of the 3 cities I've been to, Paris was my favorite city. Lovely gardens with flowers all around the lake and beautiful building architectures caught my breath during my stay there. Shall update more about the different cities stay when got the time then.

Less than 2 weeks

I have a usual practice.

Normally, I will call some friends at the airport, using their free phone before I board the plane for my holiday! And Im going to do so next friday! Finally, Im flying off to UK to find Pea and we be reunited again... So thrilled and counting down the days to it....

3 yrs since i've been on a holiday wor... am going to enjoy myself to the fullest!

First time on a long haul journey, so I tends to feel a bit nervous. To solve my sleeping problem... maybe some red wine will do the trick as i gets tipsy easily.... hehehe...

Also, I can't imagine myself sitting down all the time on a 13 hrs journey.. So guess i'll be moving around and do some "exercising" bah.. hahaa.. 无聊~

It's going to be autumn when we arrive in Uk. Temperature is estimated to be 6-12 degree....duhz.. Brrrr.... so cold...to keep myself warm, better to bring tons of long sleves, cardigans n jackets sia. Initally we still tot of wearing 3/4 quarters pants sia.. haha.. big no no loh! Crazy to do that in such low temperature places...

Can't wait for next friday to arrive. I need my break n vacation~

New "you" contest

Yes! I’m one of the 163 people selected for this photo contest! Luckily both Trixy and mi were selected together, otherwise I will really freakout. I was quite nervous during the briefing, not knowing what we will suppose to do and what theme we will be dressing up accordingly.

During the draw lots session, I picked the theme – Casual wear. Sigh…My top choice was actually Elegant wear or Executive wear! Oh well, heck it. I got free $200 voucher to spend, so just buy the stuff I would wear normally then! Hahahaa.. anyway I’m not out to win the contest. The stores I’m allowed to shop under Casual theme are Gap, Fox, Fat Face and DMK(for the shoes). Sad thing is that the rules had stated that if the participants bought anything from other stores not in the list, they will be disqualified, which mean vouchers will be withdrawn! Well, just stick to their rules then, as long I can keep the clothings~

We will each given 90 mins to complete our shopping, makeup(By Menard) and hairdo(by Anthony Hair Boutique). During the first 15 mins, I felt damn stressed during the whole shopping process as I saw nothing that catches my eyes as I went in and out the few stores. Time is running out and I still couldn’t make up my mind to buy which item. Shucks.

Due to time constraints, I really don’t care and just grab a black stripped ¾ pants, a green top and a pair of grey heels. My idea was to have a “smart” casual new look for the photo shoot. And these 3 items only cost me $80 of the voucher. Hehehe..

So I kept the balance $ and went to buy Raoul top and a fashion lab dress after the photo shoot. Oh ya, did I mention that as participants of this contest, we were entitled some discounts at all the stores as stated in the list. For example, Raoul discount -30% off, Fashion lab discount - 30% off, Fox - 25%. Can’t really remember what is the discount for the other outlets. Cool, rite? Keke…

The makeup and hairdo they done for me were alright. Not too fanciful. Just plain n simple.

Some contestant were really out to win as they brought their barang barang like their own accessories, shoes and makeup to enhance their final outlook. Winner. Trixy and me just went emptyhand. But if we know beforehand, maybe we would have done the same to beautify up a little and wouldn’t have to spend so much of the vouchers. Hahaha..

The feeling of being dolled up, taking part in the photo shoot and given free $ to spend. I don’t mind to do it all over again!

Downtown east

Weird that it's been raining almost everyday in aug! Today although it was raining heavily in the morning, Trixy n me finally make it to Wild Wild Wet!Heng ah~ it's the last day to use the coupon le, if not, wasted sia.

:: Pinky shoe bag n a green whistle ::

These came as a free gift with the coupon, bought from Trixy's company event! Cool huh...
Anyway, today was also family day carnival over there. Arghh, so many pple n kids! Therefore, we have to queue up rather long for the water rides but still, it was fun to try some of the rides for 2times.

Downtown east really changed a lot too! Check out E-hub! The new building that was just newly built. Got Ntuc, kbox n Cathay cinema. I think it's great to have such places for those people who booked chalets nearby, to hang out.

::Indoor Ferris wheel ::

Tempted to ask the gals whether they want to book a chalet for the year end gathering after our hotel stay at Swissotel yesterday! Shall update more about it after getting the photos from Nelly.

命中注定我愛你

I’m really liking this show 命中注定我愛你(Ok, I know the title sounds really mushy). One of my fav dramas.

It’s not the male or female lead that is super gorgeous. It’s just the story plot that gets me interested to watch the show – about a simple, plain-looking girl who lives a monotonous life and wanted to please everyone in her life, got pregnant after having one night stand with a guy accidentally on the cruise one day.

I feel that the part of how 2 strangers who wasn’t lovers in the first place, shows how they gradually developed feelings for each other and also how the guy was taught to be responsible for his own actions to the wife even though he didn’t love her in the first place - have a bit of educational part for the youngsters nowadays bah. Well, men should really be more attentive to their wife who got pregnant since women sacrifice their look and risk having to put on weight during the pregnancy period.

And yet, there are still some jerks out there, who got the nerve to have affairs with other women behind their wife’s back! Unforgivable actions!

Anyway, I like the female lead’s (Xinyi) mum and the old, open- minded granny who are always on Xinyi’s side when she was kena bullied by male lead ( Chun xi). Way to go~ Women should gang up to “fight” against “evil” guy…. Women are not to be trifled nowadays! Haha…

This show is still on-going airing in Taiwan and I’m already watching to the last few episodes on You-tube. Hope the ending will be a good one! Oh ya… the ending song is nice too… Sang by 吳忠明+元若藍.

I just have a special feel and liking toward this song. Enjoyz

Mid July

This year, as most of my classes are going to start in sept after the release of 2nd yr exams result, me been a good gal and went home for dinner almost every week day for the past 2 months after work. Do i sound like "zai nu" ? Haha...

I don’t want to be lured by the sales temptation and spend more money as I’m saving hard for my Europe trip in Oct. As Meizhi and me are going on a free and easy tour in Paris, we found out that the lodging and spending over there are so expensive!! So better save more $ now and enjoy my trip at ease.

So far, we already roughly shortlist the places that we can visit but still need to find out the exact route on how to go about Paris. Thanks to tripadvisor forum, the content inside has helped us to have some basic understanding of Paris. It’s a great place to read up other’s pple experiences and encounter they experienced during their stay. Anyway will be meeting David, sihan’s friend, who will be meeting us for one night out. Hope he will bring us to some special pubs or restaurant then~
Counting down the days....

This trip is the only motivation that keeps me going in this boring job!

Company retreat

Went Bintan with my colleagues last wkeend and honestly, at first i wasn't very keen and looking forward to it cause my wkeend is wasted n couldn't have a good rest!!! But luckily, it was quite alright except I couldn't sleep much on the first nite again..
Only sat morning meeting was boring ... The rest of the days were relaxing but tiring as activites are all planned very closely.

UK trip

Counting down to 4 more months to the UK trip! The tickets have been booked and we choose SQ flights (after comparing the different airlines pricing) because apparently, it was cheaper than BA pricing, which was weird. But who cares! Hahaa.. the deal and timing were great and the best part is that we are taking A380 - the world’s biggest passenger aircraft ever built! Wohoo~ definitely going to be a special and exciting experience for us.

It’s going to be 13-14 hours on the plane flying directly to London. Gosh. Not sure will I be able to catch some sleep during these long hours or not as I have difficulty sleeping in unfamiliar places. It will be a 2 weeks plus trip and Han will only be accompanying us for a short trip during the 2nd week stay. So Meizhi and I will have to arrange our own free and easy tour planning for the 1st week and Yes! Paris is one of the places that we have decided to visit. LV, Gucci, Chanel, Louvre Museum, Effiel Tower… Here we come! Haaa..

Shall update more about the itinerary in July when the plannings are confirmed. Yeah~ My first long distance oversea trip!

BS and Cindy's Wedding

My first wedding dinner for 2008 and it's one of my besties- cindy's! This year, been hearing lotsa of people around our age tieing the red knot ( luckily, so far i only got 3 red bombs. Phew).

Guess it's the right age to get married within these 1-2 years too.

:: Me with Cindy ::

:: 3 sisters with the bride ( 2 of them couldn't come in last min) ::

:: The couple with the sisters and brothers ::

:: Monkey Dolls (Unique!) ::

:: Funny shots of Cel and BS ::

:: Nite - Aihuey and me ( I dun really like the makeup) ::

:: Cel, Ziv & Kevin ::

:: Cindy's classmates ::

Overall, the whole day and nite events had gone on smoothly. A great success as every sections ended on the right timing. BS's brother gang deserved the most credits! Guess Cindy will be very much relieved that everything has ended too and she can finally have a good rest after so many months preparations on her wedding preparations.

Well, hope to hear good news from the 2 of you soon then! Jiayou wor~ Haa....

Regain freedom

Exams are finally over but yet, I’m still dreaming of studying material last night. What a nightmare… What is my mind trying to indicate to me? Anyway, I’m really super glad that it’s all over for my 2nd yr.

My hopes are not high but still, I hope for a miracle to happen that the kind examiners will pass me for all the modules I took this year.

I was struggling so hard during that 1 month of preparation for exam.. Arghh… so torturing! Esp when after finishing the first 2 papers, I read from the SIM forum that the examiners are trying to increase the standards for UOL from this year onwards, no wonder most of this year papers were set up so much harder as compared to previous years papers. So much difference! My morale was so low at that period. But I told myself to try my best and move on till the end since it’s already in the middle of the long race.

In the meantime, I just enjoy while I could. Next year would be much tougher and I need to buck up more and be more hardworking as it’s the last year ( I hope).

Looking forward to this Friday as it’s Cindy’s wedding and I’m one of her sisters! Going to have tons of fun during the gatecrashing session as Cindy already gave the green light to tease her hubby in whatever ways we want. Hahaaa .. Esp when Aihuey is the sister- in charge. She will make sure BS dun have an easy time passing through the stages. Anyway, I think I’m gng to be the ugliest sister among the sisters gang as I’m having horrible breakout(after exams effect) and having so many unsightly scars which will not disappear in time for Friday. Sianz…

Dun care. I’m gng to use photoshop to edit them away. Been such a long time since my last-photo taking session with friends. Hope I be able to take and upload some of the nice photos with those lovely ladies and the bride-to be then.

Long battle

1 paper down and 3 more papers to go!

Can’t wait for the whole exams to be finish…

Actually, this year, my exams dates are all spread out nicely which is like 1 exam in a week. I should be happy that I have plenty of time to revise and do preparation for it. But I think I have a tendency to worry over exams too much and storing all the informations, formulas, study cases in my mind for too long.

It is making me stressed out and tired, fearing that I would forgot them easily while juggling between work and studies. Maybe it might be also due to the fact that I’m struggling to finish my shipments to hit monthly sales during the 8 days in office during May.

Will my colleagues be able to help me to cover my job duties when I’m not around? Worry this worry that… Sigh… Never mind. I just have to trust them whatever they can do.

Tomorrow onwards, I will be on leave again and this time hopefully, can focus on accounting paper and Finance paper properly within these 9 days and after that, one more last paper to go n I’m done!

Quick! Get this over and done with! Can't wait!

Mugging starts

How I wish I am a full-time student at times! I would have more time to prepare for my exam slowly on the days when there is no class. Being a part-timer student, I must say it’s really tiring to go to class or to revise the notes at night esp, after a day’s work. Is it because age is also catching up that my mind cannot absorb information easily as before? Haa...

But I try to keep in mind that有耕田才有收获 which is very true. As there’s no tips provided by the examiners as they live far far away in the UK, unlike in the poly days. So it’s only up to individual ability to prepare and score for UOL exams. I can feel the stress building up as the days goes by nearer to the first paper date! *Gosh*

At least in the midst of the mugging period, there’s nicole’s bday chalet and nelly’s bday gathering to look forward. Try to work hard but also need to play hard, to make my life easier to get by these 2 months. Sounds like I’m forcing myself to study hard. Sigh ..

Who’s like to study, anyway ….. but what to do, rite? Esp, when I invest so much money & time in this degree(such an expensive piece of paper!) I need more doors opening for my future as what Dawn mentioned.

So

as the saying goes : "nothing can defeat u if u set ur heart on it", I will strive on till the very last min!

Surprise

Had a pleasant surprise when I opened the mail box this evening.

It was the V-day present that Gs told me during her last stay in sg last Dec and I nearly forgotten her promise. Well, I do not mind the late gift at all! Gs, so no worries about it!

Hahaa… Love the lip gloss very much! Will use it to make my lip very glossy and shiny!

Hope you are having lotsa fun skiing over at Canada now! Ahhhh… So envious! One day, I would want to try it as well! In the meantime, I shall look forward to meet you in UK first in Oct then! Remember to plan the itinerary soon if you happen to read this entry wor.. Muacks..

Can’t wait for the trip to arrive soon but I will have to face my May’s exam first… Sigh…

好吧, 那么就先苦后甜!! Hopefully rewarding myself with the UK trip is going to be the drive and motivation for me to focus on my exams during these 2 coming months!

My new blackie gadget

I hasn’t been going to the IT show for quite some time. It just happened that I might have something on like for example : mock exams or that I can’t fork out the time to go coz I already have plans with friends.

I always wanted to buy a external hard disk as I find that my computer hard disk storage space was not enough. Too many videos, movies, photos! N I need a backup too, just in case if my computer went cranky, my data are not affected as it already been safely backup beforehand. Has also been hearing that it is going at a cheap rate as compared to before. Hahaa.. Actually all gadgets prices plunged quite fast after some times in the market. It just a matter of whether is the price within your budget and afford it. As usual, priorities differ from individual.

Anyway, thanks to Cindy and Bs, they offered to help me look out and went through all the trouble of queuing up and comparing the different hard disk brands and prices( I have a budget to keep to). Really appreciate their help as I know the crowds can be quite overwhelming over at the IT fair during weekends. Hehee.

Great! Just got my hard disk from them. Now I can start storing all my precious data one by one then. Did I mention that I like my hard disk size? It’s really very small and handy!

CNY gathering 2008

The plan of having steamboat at Nelly’s place was unsuccessful because her hubby was on duty today, thus she’s unable to prepare the ingredients as she got to take care of Yan yan. Therefore, we decided to meet up for lunch at Sembanwang Sakae Sushi today.

::Chio Mother and Daughter ::

After that, we "ta bao" yusheng to her place! Our first and my first"lo he" of the year sia! I thought it will be my one and only one during CNY 2008. But only then i realise that I'm having the 2nd "lo he" session at home too when my mum called me to go home earlier to "lo he" with them.

::The gals preparing to pour the ingredients::

:: Looks Yummy::

Huat ah!! May all of us strike 4D,toto, big sweep! May those who are married and getting married have kids soon and for the rest of us who are still single, find our Mr right soon! Hope I can pass my 2nd year modules and have flying colors! May all of us have good health and also have a good career path from now onwards! Last but not least, may good luck follow us in whatever we do!

Alin

失戀無罪 sang by 梁文音 during 超級星光大道 PK competition season 1, caught my attention when I first heard it. Her vocals were damn powerful and good. Even the judges were impressed by it and commented that she’s a natural n could reaches the high pitch easily unlike other people who need to practices level by level according to the professional training. And I think she's one of the contestant in 超級星光大道 season 2 too.

Sang by 梁文音

The original singer of this song was Alin, 黄丽玲(quite a common Chinese name) and she has an amazing voice like ah mei. Maybe because she’s a原住民歌手too, that’s why she has such a natural powerful vocal.. But the funny part is for such a good vocal singer, I never heard her song often in 93.3 as she wasn’t quite popular. If I didn’t heard this song during competition, I wouldn’t have know her existence.

Here's the song 失戀無罪.

Here's another of one of her nice song. 四季

P.s : pls click on 失戀無罪 to view the music video of Alin in ASOS instead. The user didn't include any video embeded code in youtube.

鼠年大年初一

Not much of 新年气氛 this year sia. Maybe I’m getting older le and there isn’t anything much to anticipate during the house visiting excepts the ang baos. I remember when I was young, I would be playing toys with my cousins at one corner while our parents play mj or blackjack. But as we grew up, we seem to be stranger as we only met once a year, thus gradually there was nothing much to talk with them. I expect it will be another boring CNY day 1 again. But I was wrong. Haa…

My cousins and I decided to play MJ as they also just learn how to play it recently. As we are all beginners, I dun feel much stress playing with them as MJ can be quite mind taxing when playing with 高手. This becomes our ice-breaking game as we make causal small talks during the game. We didn’t manage to finish the game as one of them has to go off with his parents for another house visiting. Oh well, I think for the coming years, MJ can be included to play to kill time during our CNY gathering at granny’s house le.

I also went to watch Kungfu Dunk alone (My first attempt) at AMK hub. Jay chou acted very mischievous and 耍宝in some scenes but I feel that zeng zhi wei is the most funniest character in the show. He’s a natural comedian! Watch this show if you are interested in basketball and Jay chou then.

祝大家鼠年快乐! 事事顺利! May lady luck smile on us more!

Movie price increase

From 31st Jan onwards, I heard from the radio this morning that there will be a price increase for Cathay cinema shows. Gosh.. the movies tickets are getting more and more costly. Watching a general movie during weekend is going to be $10! Pengz…got to be selective to watch movies from now onwards.

Well, the general ticket prices are upped by 50 cents (a 6% increase) while a new Blockbuster tier has been introduced where tickets to selected movie titles will be increased by an additional 50 cents. Can refer to this link for more updates

Why is the prices increasing everywhere? Even the food that I’m having during my lunch break has increased price recently too… Why aren’t our pay increment increasing tremendously? Sianz…

Although I’m not a big fan of watching movies but it’s one of the few entertainment activities that sometimes we can go for during gatherings. Maybe hanging out in café and gossiping with friends is more cost-saving than going for movies in the future. Lol

But meanwhile, even before this price hikes news, I’m already thinking to watch either Stephen Chow(长江七号) or Kungfu Dunk acted by Jay chou. See how first... if I can find kaki to go along, I might watch it.. haha

2008 brides

These last 2 days had been busy accompanying Cindy & Shufen to choose their wedding photos and wedding gowns respectively. I love giving my opinion on these kind of stuffs. Guess it's my interest to 研究.

Looking at Cindy’s wide range of photos selection, we knew it will be a challenge to choose the 65 photos out of 200+ photos. Ahhh, dolling up like a princess and having a chance to be treated like a celebrity, is really seems so fun. Esp when the photos turned out great, can see the happiness on their faces. According to them, the whole thing lasted from morning till night fall. But it was definitely worth it even though they were tired and Cindy fall sick after that too. If one day when my turns comes and if got chance, it would be cool to have the photoshoots oversea. But I heard it's rather ex la. Just hoping again...

As for Shufen, it was a pity that I forgot to charge my camera and my Hp that day, otherwise I would have took some photos of shufen in her gowns. Hahaa…It’s quite rare to see her in girly attire as she has a rather weird fashion sense and she seldom puts on makeup. Hmm, I would say she’s more of a sporty kind of gal, who is rather different from the rest of us in the gang. Thus, we are rather glad to accompany her along to choose her gown. Anyway, I left for class in the midst of choosing and met them again after my class ends. Turned out that she only managed to choose 2 sets and had to go back again. Blame it on their few selections. Well, it’s better to choose the nicest gowns if there is chance since already pay for so much.

Both of them asked me to be their sisters and tt will be going to be my 5th & 6th time le. OMG! So many times liao. Pengz. Sigh… actually I do mind being sisters so many times. But for my two good friends, I agreed.

Hahaa. Oh well, my last time will be reserved for Sihan as we both have discussed it before. Lol.. Shall look forwards to the sisters meeting to sambo their hubbies then. Hiak Hiak….

Hopes for 2008

A new year. A new beginning. Times flies fast when people are getting older. That’s how I feel. During school times, the June & Dec school holiday always seem to take very long to arrive. But now, one year passes very fast after another. And my age is going to change from 2X to 3X soon. I don’t wannnntttt!!!! Can time stop?!?! Hahaa..

Anyway I’m going to set some resolutions for this year so that when I looked back my life, at least I accomplished some of my goals in life.

a) Lose 5kgs by exercising. Swimming is probably the best form of exercise for me. I can’t jog as I pant very easily.

b) Pass my second year modules and get some of my desired gradings.

c) Visit Sihan in UK with Bee & Meizhi this year. Hope that this trip will not be delay anymore.

d) Try to read widely as many as possible to improve my English and knowledge.

That’s all I can think of now.

For 2008, I also look forward to attend my 3 close’s friend’s weddings. Friends are important to me. I don’t need many of them. Just a few close friends will do and I really cherish them. Only close friends will share the happiest and sad moments in your life.

I do feel the gap widening when some of my close gal friends got married or even have kids of their own. Although we are not close as compared as before, hope that at least we can try to catch up during gatherings at times.

But seem like during gatherings, the topics brought up were very different too, somehow feel very distant and strange to me. Because nowadays it’s about renovation, buying furniture/flats and discussing about their kids talk. The topic might be common to discuss for those couples who are getting married or already married. At times, I do feel alienated. It’s not a very nice feeling to be sitting there listening to their talks when you do not know what to contribute.

When I try talking about my own stuff, seem like it was gone unheard. Esp when most of them are in pairs n I’m the only single. Oh well, guess that can’t be helped. Just don't ignore my presence.

Anyway hopefully, I will be able to fulfill my resolutions this year. Achieving it will give me a sense of achievement and makes my life happier. Cheers!
