Crazy Sales
All the post-xmas shopping and online spreeing is making a big hole in my pockets! Arghh… I just cannot resist temptation to good bargains. Thought I told myself not to enter those shops that are having sales, my feets will just walk in automatically when I saw something I like instantly. Tsk tsk ..
Well, I already spend quite a bit at Ness on Wed and yet, I still went to check out the private Isetan sale with Cindy & Trixy yesterday.
As there were lotsa people inside , Trixy & us went our own separate ways. At first, I didn’t manage to saw anything that caught my eyes and went a few rounds at 2nd level. And while I’m trying to browse through the clothings, I didn’t even notice that there’s someone familiar beside me. As usual, I’m always so blur. Anna, my secondary partner!! So long never saw her le! She changed so much that I don’t really recognize her much. We lost contact ever since secondary school times. Therefore we exchange our contacts numbers and hopefully this time round, we can arrange for a nice tea session reunion soon. Keke..What a nice pleasant surprise to bump into an old friend in such crowded places.
After a short chat, we parted and I continue to search around for more tops. Haiz. Most of the items were out of stock for my sizes le! So disappointed! But I’m not going to quit until I found something. Poor Cindy has to follow me around, searching for my stuff. Hahaa.. 辛苦你了!! I know it’s damn hot & stuffy, squeezing with so many people. Finally I did manage to get 2 tops for myself, without trying them on. Too lazy to queue up for the fitting room. Cindy also managed to get a nice retro dress, 2 tops for herself and a shirt for BS. Yeah.. at least both of us got something that we like and I’m not going home empty-handed. Winner me! “Die” “die” must get something. Wahahaha..
Anyhow, I shall keep the grey flowery tube top to be one of my CNY clothing then. So happy that my CNY clothing’s are done early so fast.
Ok. It’s time to limit my spending and not to buy anything more unless it’s something I really need. Oh ya, I do need a laptop wor. Time to get one for my own home usage le. Tired of sharing it with my brother when most of the time, the computer is in his room which results that I don’t really get to use it often. Pengz. Yeah~ This shall be my next target item to get in my 2007 essential shopping list bah.
So in the meantime, no more clothing shopping till I get my next pay then.*坚持到底*

Happy times flies

Last Thurs (my first Xmas exchange), I meet up with Trixy for dinner at marina square 店小二. We ordered 5 course dinner which include herbal duck, crispy bean curd, sea cress soup, baby kalian and dessert - sea coconut with 7-up(weird combination rite?). But it was really yummy~
::crispy herbal duck::
::小菜::
Surprisingly for a 5 course meal, the pricing was quite reasonable and the food are very much to my liking. Keke.. I dun mind trying there out again. Pity Gs couldn’t join us.
Friday’s gathering was at Nelly’s house. Thankz to Nelly and Dawn who bought most of the dishes. There were log cakes( from Bakers Inn), minestrone soup, turkey and pork ribs together with sparkling wine.
:: Presents and Log cake::My first time trying out turkey and I didn’t really like it. The turkey meat was quite tough. No way am I going to try that again. Chicken taste much more nicer than that. Although I used to be a chicken-meat lover but now, I’m cutting down on that and try to eat more veggie & fish le. Working hard this way to slim down in a more healthy way!
::Yan yan's cute little house::The last xmas exchange dinner session was at Cel’s house. Our usual practice is that each of us has to bring something to contribute to the potluck dinner and the theme set this year was Japanese style. Overall, the dinner was fantastic. Anyway, the most hilarious thing of that night was that cel’s dog( Cobie) and Emily’s dog( xiao B) were trying very hard the whole night, to be intimate with each other. Cobie was not acting himself and seem to be hyper active the whole night, trying to jump pass the cage which xiao B was kept in. Also trying all sorts of ways to push open the cage by urinating and shitting on the ground a few times( dog’s way of making a marking as they told me). Pengz. Poor Cobie was kena caned by Cel for his misbehavior and apparently, he do not really care as he continued to “moan” for xiao B. I guess Emily will never bring her dog to cel’s house anymore, seeing the mess that the two dogs have got into.
In another week time, we will be welcoming 2007 le! So fast.. and that also means my term break has come to an end too. So sad.. why does holiday always ends so fast? And lazy me hasn’t read up the notes yet. Arghh.. Well, got to be more self-disciplined and start really soon. In the meantime, let’s all just enjoy ourselves during these last few days of 2006 bah!

Mind-taxing week
My worst fear is economics. Sandra (my lecturer) always teaches so fast and I really can’t catch up at times. Sigh. I realize that my understanding in class is real slow too and as the months goes by, I just get more blur. For Uol, Econs is all about drawing graphs and applying your theories on it. F.y.i, the graphes are really complicated with tons of lines and curves on it. Not as simple as what we used to draw during maths class in either poly or sec school. So it's either you know how to draw or dunnoe at all. Pengz. First time, I got a feeling of handing in a white sheet in if I really can't draw!!Arghh.... -_-"
I need a tutor!! Help~
For this half-mock exam, I didn’t touch on economics much. Guess I’m going to drop that subject first as we have an option not to hand in the papers (with Sandra’s permission). Haha.. so in the meanwhile for the other papers, hope I can memorize and understand as much as possible within this weekend bah. And after next Wednesday, I can rest and relax for 3 whole weeks! Hurraayy!!Yeah! Xmas break….So looking forward to it! My motivation that keeps me going~
Right now, I’m convincing myself 先苦后甜是值得的. Wahaha…

Mind your own business
Well, the story goes like this : it’s my 3rd time being as part of the sister gang. Going by usual practice, normally the sisters gang would devise some game for the brothers & groom to finish before allowing them inside the house. Just when we are negotiating halfway, “ah ma” came along and speak to us in techeow that we should open the door as 15 mins already passed by. Huh? Wat the heck?? So early?!?! Still got plenty of time ley…Anyway we ignore her the first time and continue our negotiation with them.
But she’s very stubborn as well. A couple of time, she took the key out and attempted to open the door!! Wah…so we keep explaining to her that it’s not time yet and also, no auspicious time was set, we know when is the limit. Apparently, she’s also trying to act blur and keep saying the same sentences over again and again! (Time is up! Open the door! Don’t play le ) Why don’t she just get the message through?? We are not done yet! Arghhh….
My guess is that she’s around 70+. Surprisingly, for her age, she’s quite strong and try to force her way past us and opened the door for them! Shit.. game over!! Luckily they didn’t rush in. Instead the groom was nice enough to continue to play with us for a while before passing us the ang bao. We really are disappointed that most of the game wasn’t played accordingly but out of respect for elders, what to do?? She’s the “ah ma” ley. Little did we know that later on cel told us that she’s not her ah ma loh!
Then who the heck is she?? Guess wat???
She’s just one of the old neighbors staying near them in the past sia… Wahhh…
On hearing that, makes us even more angry loh!! So K.P.O.!! Cel is not even her own grandchildren, why she can’t mind her own business?? Keep wanting to open the door for wat? Our blood boil at the thought of that! Imagine we try to think on the positive side, finding excuse to accept that she’s cel’s granny, we should respect her. Arghh… Just cannot get over the fact that this nosey-unrelated-old-hag try to ruin our plans just like that!! Next time, if anyone else ever gets to be sister again, must make sure all those unrelated ah ma or ah gongs must “lock up” in the same room with the bride. Don’t let them wander in the living room again when the sisters are doing serious business! Pek chey!
P/S : Being a superstitious person, I guess my sisters days are over!

狂欢的一夜
For me, I dun really like this place as it was located in a deserted place, behind gallery hotel. As we couldn’t bring ourselves to ask around, it took us quite a while to find it. Overall, the crowd was alright but definitely not the music (not my cup of tea). First time hearing hip hop music playing in pubs. Tsk tsk…The interior of the place doesn’t look as spacious as I thought. Subconsciously, I must have compared it with MOS. Hahaa…
Can’t wait to see our silly pictures. We took quite a few “bitchy”, act cute, seducing and sweet expression, using Emily’s camera..*Snap snap* Our initial plan was actually to make Cel drunk but she keep on insist that she’s not sporting one. Oh well, how come we let her off so easily? Haha.. so we just make her take photos with a cute ang mo guy on the dance floor instead! He was just standing behind us, why waste the opportunity? Hiak hiak.. I’m the one who thought of that last min idea and Miss aihuey executed it because the rest of us dun dare to approach him. Cel’s face was really in shock when that guy suddenly posed for a pic with her readily.*成功*
In another week’s time, it will be her church wedding le. My first church wedding too. But her banquet dinner is held on next Monday instead, which means we got to help out on these 2 days. Although it will be tiring, I’m looking forward to it. Esp. the saboing groom part!!

年轻就是本钱
Most of the time, I’m always late for classes and just dash quietly to my seats, beside my gals friends(that I know from orientation). In the first place I also don’t really dare to chat with strangers readily too. Well, to girls, maybe Yes, but not to guys. But if the other party makes the first move, probably I wouldn’t ignore that person. Haha..
That’s how I came to know my neighbor cum course mate. As he stays near me, we tend to bump into each other and take the same train ride home after every lesson. Initially, we just practically ignore each other presence but after I guess 2 or 3 months later, he approached me one day and we started to chat from then onwards. Keke.. Apparently, he’s around the same age as my brother and still serving in Ns. Very mature-thinking for his age too. Oh ya, he’s super hardworking as well which can motivate & “stress” me that I’m lagging on my revision. I need that motivation because of my laziness; I probably just start last min which is a big “NO NO” for degree studies. Imagine there are big piles of notes to study for each of the modules, if taking chance to study everything last min, most probably can flunk the 4 papers loh. Tsk tsk..
Anyway, it’s true that knowing a few young friends will make one feel younger. The way they talk is somehow different too, more lively & bubbly. Last night I got to know another of his friend, even younger than him.
Shuan to me : Hey, you look like one of my senior in sec school wor.
John to Shuan : How can it be? Even in primay sch. If she’s in primary 6, you are not even in primary one!
Me : …......(Wat can I say?!?!)

Disappointment

I finally bought my N73 last sat! But sad to say, I found out there’s 2 bugs. Firstly is that the incoming call volume is very soft when I’m listening to mp3 using the earphones. Secondly is about the loud, irritating screeching sound when I’m trying to make video calls to my friends. Wah… Guess I have to go down to Singtel Bugis to change my phone within the week. Hopefully it will not be a wasted trip down and they will change a new one for me instead of pushing all the blame to Nokia.
Well, I’m really looking forward to use this new gadget and YET, this has to happen.
What a letdown! Pls dun let me lost the faith in Nokia.

Good news comes one after another
Very soon, we are going to have a new member in our poly gang! So cool~ Yeah!! I love babies. Even though, married plans are far, far away from me. I always dreamt of having twins if I really have kids of my own. But my colleague warned me it might be a chore taking care of 2 kids at the same time esp when they both look so alike. N most importantly, everything got to buy in 2 sets! Hahaa…
Anyway, luckily for Jess, her vomiting symptoms seem to have lessened over these 3 months otherwise she say she will not be able to enjoy her honeymoon wor. Hmm, so will it be a little jess or mike? Well, got to wait for 2 more months before can know the result bah. Now that I suddenly recalled, in the past, I’m always “conned “by them (Ade & Jess) of this kind of news on April fool’s Day. Now this round time, she’s really pregnant le. Hahaa…
Also, Ade is moving in to her new house at Yishun today. A day she has been waiting for very long after so many months of preparation. Come to think of it, most of my poly friends live around Yishun, Katib and Admiralty. All live so far away from my home! Pengz. Well, that’s partly why I seldom meet them up. Recently, as every one of us is so busy with their own life. I got a thinking - Is it really true that all of us might drift away further and further away as we grow older? I certainly hope that’s not the case.
Well, now that they got their own home, perhaps we can organize some of the gathering over there instead. How about doing some cooking, baking cake or play mj at times? Haha..
That’s just my own suggestion. >.< *wink wink*

Farewell
He was transferred here from Japan to improve the sales of cutting tools department, to cut down on bad debts and to look over for other departments as well.
And he did it! Very splendid results. The top management in Japan is very happy with it. I must say that he is really a very efficient and fast worker. Plus I realized Japanese are very hardworking as well as he’s always the first one to come to work and the last one to left the office. Make me tend to wonder why he doesn’t look tired at all. Hahaa…* 佩服*
One month ago, he finally got the notice from Japan that he had to return to Japan for other job duties. Kinda like an internal promotion to other departments. The first person to be thrilled about this news will be his wife. I heard that she isn’t very happy staying in Singapore as there is language barrier with the others and she’s having trouble communicating too. Anyway his last day is set on 20th Oct. So recently, our company decided to hold a farewell dinner for him. Dining place is at “Min Jiang”, a high- class Chinese restaurant at Good Wood Park. We had a 9 course-dinner (Imagine they choose S$1.5k for one table, so ex!!). Well.. who cares!?!? Most imporantly, we dun have to pay a single cents at all! Wahahaa...
Overall it’s really a very sumptuous meal. Yummy~My first time having 佛跳墙, lobster porridge and the best of all : Bird nest with almond milk! Woooo....
Well, 天下无不散宴席..Thank you dear Mr. Saruta for all these years. It’s been nice working with you and all the best for you!! Hope that the next Japanese boss will be as easy-going & nice as you.

Blissful Couples

Last fri went to attend Jess’s wedding at M hotel and I went straight to her suite the first thing I reach there. It’s so damn classy & spacious! The most significance thing I remember is that there’s a huge Jacuzzi in the bath room and I like how the red roses petals decorating “Love” around the coffee table. Very romantic feel~
Before Mike & Jess stepped in the ballroom, a video of their childhood, teenage yrs & poly pictures were shown. Plus some clips of how we sabotage those brothers & groom at Jess’s house in the morning. Looking through the re-play scene and their “tortured” expression made us laugh non-stop. This means it was a success and all our plans are executed well! A full- 45 mins of teasing and making them eat those horrible yucky raw bittergourd and wasabi bread. Hahaha…evil sisters!
While waiting for each dish to be served, me & 3 other gals were also busy snapping pictures ourselves.
Well it's not like we always have the chance to doll up so pretty, so MUST take lots of pictures as memory! Snap Snap Snap… lol
Anyway congrats Mrs lim! Hope to hear your good news of little mike or jess soon ah!
Keke.. 要幸福 wor.... Aren't they loving in the pic~

Esprit esprit
Yesterday I went with my colleague to Causeway point outlet. Only this outlet & Centrepoint outlet are entitled to further discount for regular items. Before her sister & family arrived, we quickly scanned through the entire shop and I managed to shortlist 2 jeans & a few tops at one shot. There goes half of my monthly spendings again… hahaa
But it’s really a worthy buy as their jeans are quite expensive and Esprit seldom have any major sales going on. Plus, the jeans fit me perfectly! I wouldn't let this chance slip by.. hiak hiak.
With big hip like mine, it's really hard to find jeans that fits! I realize Levi’s jean doesn’t suit me as the cutting is too small. Too pricey for my taste and in my opinion, it's more suitable for smaller-built girls. As for Giordano, the jeans just gets bigger & looser after a few washes. Tsk tsk tsk… Waste of money!
Pray hard that my first 2 pairs of Esprit jeans will not disappoint me.
Well, guess I have to control my spendings this month again. Always broke so early! Got to bear for another 2 weeks more before my pay arrives. Ren ren Ren ren! I can make it!

Fireworks fireworks
After that, we just hang around MS and wait for nightfall to watch fireworks!
Our Initial plan was actually to stand near the One Fullerton to capture the full view but upon seeing the huge crowds of people walking around Esplanade, we change our mind. Dun feel like squeezing in at all.
Instead, we just sat somewhere near MS to watch the fireworks, performed by the France team.
It was a really spectacular show. A full 15 mins of colorful fireworks lighted up across the dark skies. I’m sure some of the cars must have slowed down a while to view it too. After it ended, everywhere seem misty with the smoke around. Tsk tsk..”Contribute” to more air pollution!
Well, it’s a good thing that we were seated near to one of the mrt exits so that we could just quickly make our way to the train station - to avoid squeezing in like mad with hundreds thousand of people together in the rides home.
Anyway, Singapore is really so generous to hold 4 firework performances in celebration of it’s birthday this year. Each year performance just keeps getting longer and better.
And guess what, a really bad news that I just heard from my colleague. In the future for this kind of celebration, if the car drivers continue to create trouble for the traffic police and no further improvement in the road traffic , they might just cancel the whole thing and no more fireworks to view next time!! So saddening~ Aahhhh…PpPPLLLSsSsss dun let this happened!!

Offices politics...
Firstly she dun need to pick up the call when she’s busy typing in data for my boss. Secondly, when she’s talking on the phone (personal call), she’s just dun bother to answer the 2nd line and let it ring and poor us have to help her answer it. It's not the first time it happened. Calls have been flooding in like siao and she just dun bother. What the heck?!?! She cannot multi-task and does that imply that we got nothing to do and we can help her?? No logic at all. How about spiltting half of her pay to us instead?
In that case, I will be most willing to help….
I’m not sure why is my company management is being so lenient with her when she’s obviously trying to act blur and trying to shake off her job responsibility whenever she can. And she’s getting bolder and bolder. She dun even refills the A4 paper at the fax and print machine nowadays. Got one time, she’s so thick-skinned that she even dares to talk back to her supervisor and my Japanese boss - that she done her job well. Crap loh!
Either the management has no eyes or they simply don’t care as it’s a small matter. But to us, she’s trying to create havoc as she’s too free and try to find trouble with us whenever she can. Well, she has this thinking that we are trying to “steal” her job and ruin her “good worker” image. Best sia! Who in the right mind, wants to snatch her job! Pengz…
Blow small matter into big mountain. That’s what some “bo liao’ aunites are best at!
I just study about Japanese management on my IBM lecture 2 days ago. It mentioned a part of life-time employment - something like they will not anyhow sack people, unlike America firms. Maybe that auntie knows of this fact very well, that’s why dares to throw her weight around. But don’t she find it boring to live her days meaningless without nothing much to do?? And making so many people disliking her so much at the same time…
Actually, my company has been kind to her and yet she wants to push beyond the limit. Even thought my big boss already has a rather bad impression on her, there’s no news of dismissing her or anything. She should be relived of the fact and just be responsible on her work duties till the day she retires!
It will do all of us good if she snaps out of it soon and stop treating us like enemies.
.: It’s always better to have a friend than to have an enemy :.

Last sat was spend meeting with the Sjcians at town area, eating and shopping again. Our usual routine. And this time round, Nelly brought yan yan alone even though her husband was at work. Normally her husband will take care of her while we gals went for shopping. So understanding & considerate of him!
Anyway that day, the star of our gathering was little yan yan. Almost everyone who saw her commented on her outfit, esp with her pink band on her head. Look so stylo & lovable. Also, toddler’s skin is really such an envy - so fair and smooth. Wish mine was like that… Flawless-looking!!
Now that yan yan was only about 9 or 10 months old, she's already towering other kids around her age. Can you imagine that some even guess that she's already 1 or 2 years old le?!?! Pehaps it's her milk powder that she's drinking doing the trick... lol...
I just love toddlers, esp at this stage. It's the best time to play & cuddle them while they still hasn't learn to walk much. Once they grow older, i think most probably, they won't want us to carry them anymore.

Too good to be true?!?!
How I wish it was mine!! Arghhh…My colleague bought a new hp yesterday and showed it off to us this morning. I just fall in love at the first sight of it -Sony ericsson K800i. It’s such a beauty!! Makes me so tempted to get it too! Sleek design with black-color casing, integrated 3.2 megapixel digital cameras with autofocus (pics is so super duper clear lo), a large screen, can buy a large capacity SD card to store more songs/ pictures, radio to tune in and it’s 3G phone as well!! Most importantly, it’s not bulky as compared to N80 which I shortlist in my mind at first.
Well, it’s only launched this month- pricing going at S$599 for 21mths promotion at Singtel. Which mean I GOT to wait a few months more for the price to drop…. No point spending so much when I just burned a BIG hole in my pockets recently.
Sucky thing is that my 6230 is only worth ranging from S$120 to S$150. So low value!!!
What if it drops to S$100 in another few months time??? *Horrified* I confirm will be even more sian.
SO, I hope there’s going to be some kind of special launching promotion for this hp soon. Otherwise I just got to wait and hope my patience will pays off.
P.s : Fyi, "Big hole in pockets" was refering to my 2nd installments for my school fees. Not that
I went on a shopping spree that caused it. Hahahaa...

Mystery of Zidane's Head Butt unsolved
I will never forget how Zidane knock his head into that italian guy without warning. Shocking man! I really wonder what has happened btw them. Must be some offensive remarks that caused him to react so violently?!?! Haiz...but Zidane should have keep his cool! The whole world is watching this last match and he has to do this stunt. Kena a red card and being send off, not able to particpate for the rest of the game. What an ending for the last game before his retirement.... 真替他觉得不值.....
Humans should really know how to restraint themself when feeling boiled or provoked. The consequences might be disastrous and will regret it in the later part of life...

World Cup 2006
Italy vs France and Germany vs Portugal.
Hope Italy will win the championship of Fifaworld cup!
Yeah!! At last able to view the matches on channel 5. The days of going down to
Macdonald to reserve good seats for matches are gone.. But I must say it was real fun and the mood of watching matches with the crowds makes mi feel really "gan cheong".
I will miss World Cup once it ends ...

None of the gal friends that I knew from the orientation was in the same class (sociology) as me. Sad sia.
Feel so "lonely" in there esp when studying this boring subject combined with a naggy teacher.
Well, I already meet her during the orientation week and bored us with her lengthy talks within minutes.
And as usual, yesterday she threw a lot of smoke bombs at us and talked a lot of unfamiliar term. Arghh.. how how?? I have no single clue what's she blabbering about!!!
I really don't like this subject but what to do?!?! It's one of the core modules and I guess I really have to do a lot of read ups as the term goes by... pengz...
As for the other class, luckily I got Cindy with me. Although she was a third- year student, and I'm still in my first year. It was heng that we can still study the final and only class together! Things weren't so bad after all. Keke.. Without her help, I will still be in a blur of what to anticipate.
P/S : oh ya, did I mention that the admin staffs of that school SUCKS big time! I wonder that if SIM wasn’t so far from my home and plus the $$ issue, I wouldn't have choose my current school at all.

Unpredictable result
Imagine 3 goals within the last 8 minutes of the game for the aussie players! Kaoz…
It almost seems impossible but they made it happen…Damn it!
At first, I was elated at the breakeven score 1-1 because I bought 2 goals for that match, thinking that the score might not have any changes le. But I was totally WRONG.
My heart sank when my mum announced the final score. Arghhhh….. 3 -1 (Australia vs Japan).
Of course, some people are thrilled over it, but not me. Haahaa… Well, as the football is indeed round, there’s never a sure confirm chop answer to winning until the very last minute. You can only depend on lucks on winning. There’s always losing & winning in matches. But I just can’t accept why aussie got such luck! Really a world-breaking record for them!
Down the world cup history, it seemed that they have never went in a single goal for 32 years. But with this magical victory, their government is even thinking to announce a public holiday for their nation people to remember this special event! Wow…
Never mind then. Still have 3 more weeks to go, I shall continue to place small bets on other matches. Keke.. Watching the game and wining the bet together is JUST so exciting and tends to feel "gan cheong" too! *Hiak hiak*
Which country will emerge as the final winner?? Will the final result be what people had anticipated?
Brazil? Italy? England? Argentina? Or Germany?
We shall see….

Does Psychic power really exist?
Frankly speaking, I’m not someone who will be caught in the library or book store, sourcing out for new reads. Ermm… I only read books recommended by others. So I welcome the idea of any good and interesting book that’s worth spending time on.
*Thrillers, Mysteries will do. No romance book recommendation pls. Thank you.*
Anyway, the book that I was mentioning earlier on was written by a Psychic which was a rare insight (Woo… I never really thought that there were really such people on earth). Basically, the main character, Abby cooper was working as a psychic intuitive and has a gift since young to read people thoughts and predict their own future easily. All the while, she felt that her life was quite bland – like vanilla ice-cream and hoping for some excitement to happen.
So one day, she decided to sign up for an online dating service to spice up her lonely, boring life. Surprisingly, it turned out that her blind date ends up is a detective - the last person on earth that she will unlikely wants to get romantically- involved with.
As previously on their date, Abby has revealed some important factors on one of the recent murders which lead to Dutch (her online date) to list her as the number one suspect in the death of one of her clients. The story continues to unfold of the romance between them and how they solve the mystery together without Abby becoming a victim herself to the real serial murderer.
Overall, I think that it’s quite a refreshing and engaging read. The interesting way that the author describes Abby’s psychic readings along with her quirky sense of humor made this book an easy read. I can’t wait to check out the other 2 books in the same series.
If you are looking for something light and fun, this is the book for you! Enjoy.

Song to recommend~
尾曲作词:F.I.R , 阿沁 作曲:F.I.R阿沁 , 编曲:Terence Teo

Good news!!
The winner for Talent Quest 06 is …… *drums rolling rolling*
Phoebee Ong Bee Lian
Yes!! She emerged as the solo category champion for Talent Quest 06!!! And that happened on the 1st April (April Fools day). No, It’s not a joke. It’s for real…
Best part is that I only came to know it recently while reading through her friendster blog.
The first thing I did was to email her to congrats her and ask why didn’t she informed us the big news earlier on. Thought it’s a late congrats, It’s better than never wor!
Turned out that she was also hoping that someone from our gang would pop the question and ask how the competition is going on as she feels weird to just break the news like that.
Surprisingly, it just slipped everyone’s mind. Haiz, it’s not that we are not concerned over her.
Just that we don’t get to see her on MSN and also seldom meet up le.
Why?
Because there’s no more monthly meetup organised that we used to do in the past year.
I guessed that it might be that quite a headache to think of places to go to as a group.
Most of the time, we would just end up somewhere eating and gossiping on some juicy news at a café or restaurant (Always seem to be the case). Partly reason might be it’s hard to coordinate different activity as our dear Mummy Nelly got to bring little Yan Yan and her hubby along during our meet up. And the following might be the reasons as well…
Can’t go to the beach as scared that yan yan cannot take the heat. Can’t go cycling as Bee don’t know how to cycle. Can’t go for reservoirs walk and enjoy the nature view as I can’t take the long distance walk (I know Fen loves that, but I just dun like it. Lol). Tsk tsk tsk….
So conclusion, why is there no special activity to go for in Singapore where we can be involved as a group?!?! Hahaa… push the blame~
Anyway, back to Bee’s issue. So thrilled that Bee’s efforts finally got recognized and all her hard work got paid off! It’s her dream to become a singer as she participated in lots of singing competition to get more stage experience and to create her own style of singing.
Way to go, Gal! Keep on striving for the best! Hope your dream will come true soon…
We shall meet up real soon, in celebration for this good piece of news…Ciao...

Super Long weekend again!
Well, happens that Mother’s day was on this Sunday too. Hence Bro and I shared to buy a small present for her to show our appreciation. She was so damn happy and grinning from ear to ear the whole day long. It wasn’t really an expensive gift but it’s the thoughts that counts…
Tomorrow, I will be on leave as well. After going for my dental appt in the afternoon, I will be going for my first induction class le. Wonder’s how it’s going to be like. Will I get to know some new friends soon? Will I be able to handle my work & school life well? It’s been 5 or 6 years since I touched on textbook sia. It’s not going to be easy but I’ll try my best to cope.
Stay positive and things will be to your advantage

The Art of Forgiving and Letting go
Well, it really relates to my current situation as I have a huge argument with one of my colleague just last week and it's NOT really the first time it happened!!! And she’s supposed to be my “good” friend at work. I just cannot communicate with her at times. Must be our birth character clash sia. Otherwise why do we always have misunderstanding? Pengz.
From last week to now, we aren’t talking to each other during work at all. IF there is, it’s only for work purpose. Arghh… I just can’t be bothered to put on a fake front to talk to someone who hurt my feeling. NO way am I going to initiate a start-off!! I’m truly am disappointed at the way as to how she treats a friend. Firstly, I don’t like people to beat around the bush and talk in circles and would very much appreciate if you can just tell me what’s going on in your mind. It’s frustrating to guess what’s everyone is thinking every time. I need direct answer! Secondly, don’t throw your weight around just because you are older than me. It’s doesn’t mean that you don’t need to admit your mistake and that you are always right every time. Also, pls don’t presume and try to act smart. Lastly, I hate people bring up other matters which has no linkage to the first issue that we are arguing on in the first place. Wow.. That’s the part I most hated! You quarrel on this issue first and yet bring up another matter to add on the fire.
Hey, Hello! Get the facts clear before making your point. I don’t think I got any wrong loh.
I understand that humans tend to be selfish creature at times but you do not push your friend to the fire and care only about yourself when things happened, right? Feels so betrayed and cheated at the thought of it. Friends should have mutual understanding and stand by each other no matter what happens.
Plus, admit your mistake when YOU are in the wrong. Don’t push the blame to others. At least that’s how I feel.
I appreciate that article. It really does make some sense but I don’t think I can forgive her yet. I don’t like to pretend that nothing has happened. Maybe I really have to learn the art of forgiving and letting go slowly and how to live my life happier. All I need for now was more time to absorb this teaching. I also don’t like the way how things are now.

Totally in love With.....
No …wrong guess!
It’s Freshkon “Mysterical Black”. So what's makes it so special?!?!
Keke...It's a comestic contact lens which actually makes your eyes real big and having a dolly look. The circumference of the lens are much bigger than normal clear lens.. Woohoo~ Ever since I try on the free trial pair of ACUVUE Eye Define, I’m so addicted to this dolly look.. At first although my left eyeball feel a bit uncomfortable at the sides but I ignored it and continued to wear it for the whole day. Luckily no eye infection or anything ….Choy~
Well, I just love the look of my eyes looking so much awake. So heck care loh..*Blink blink*
-->Isn't Her eyes lovely??
Actually I already read up about this kind of contact lens in Japanese magazine a few months ago le. Some of the models eyes actually look quite scary as they are wearing really obvious color like green, violet & blue. Dun they realize that since it’s already making the iris so big, is there a need to wear such obvious color? *Cold sweat*
Seriously, I won’t want to be caught dead wearing those colors. Let’s just say I’m not really a risk-taker…Hahaa
Personally I would prefer black, hazel or grey color which is much more natural. One of the most recommended brand that I read up in the forums are Freshkons. According to the podders, it’s much cheaper and more comfortable. Wonder how true is that.
Never try never know, right?
Wait till I try it on first. For those who are interested to know more, stay tuned for more updates then…
*******Updates*******
Some comments from friends are that it really makes me more "awake" and also at the same time, it look a bit "scary" as it really makes the iris a lot more bigger, while some commented that it's doesn't really makes a difference..hahaa..different people got different views! But anyhow, i'm loving it and this brand is really more comfortable as compared to ACUVUE Eye Define.

New Direction in life
My friends have been so helpful, helping me to analyze the pros and cons. Really appreciate their help and sorry for being so indecisive! As I’m planning to study part-time, I knew the road ahead of me, was not going to be easy - got to be determined and be disciplined. Lots of revision and homework will need to be done. Really got to sacrifice some of my freedom and some of my watching TV times (I’m a huge fan of TV programs)
The new terms will start at around end of June, so I still got 2 more months to enjoy and prepare myself first.
Haha…I’m already deciding which pencil box and stationeries that I will need. Well it’s almost like 5 years since I leave school, I wasn’t sure whether I’m able to handle all these but I’ll give my best shot at it. Oh ya, I changed my plan to visit Han in UK too. Haiz...Sad!
Because Bee wasn’t able to join in and I guess she prefers touring Taiwan rather than UK. Cannot really blame her as it’s a much cheaper choice. And I wanted to visit Venice but Han had already been there. Thus unable to compromise each other, I guess it will be better that I shelve the plans and just concentrate in my studies first.
So if I can find a companion who's interested to go UK and Venice, I will visit Han next year (that is if she’s there). Well so no more UK for this year! But I still wants to go on holiday! Anyone interested for Taiwan, Aussie or Japan? Keke....

.:Ministry of Sound:.
As there’s an eligible bachelor event organized by Cleo on that night, imagine the crowd of people trying to get in to get a good eye view of the whole event or rather the 50 finalist. Haha…Trixi actually got free entry (thanks to her sister!) and went in much earlier than us. When we finally get in, I noticed that there were plenty of good-looking guys and pretty gals around, also managed to bump into Fiona Xie and Melanie too. In my opinion, MOS was not as fascinating as I imagined. Too many steps around and I had to really look carefully in the dark while exploring the 2 levels of MOS. Other than that, the 5 rooms with different theme of music were quite cool.
Around 11 plus, we decide to stay in the main hall which had the best music of all. One thing I came to realize was that there were more ang mos and mature working adults around in MOS. Maybe because MOS was a renowned club in London, that’s why, attracted so many foreigners. Haha... I got to admit that some of them were really cute. One of them even approached Syn while she was dancing in the middle platform. Well, she danced really quite sexy as compared to my moves which were rather stiff. Men are attracted to this kind of sexy moves. Keke….
Anyway it’s quite an experience to MOS that night. Maybe shall arrange with the others to try out their ladies night next time if got chance..

Surprise Attempt
Just when we thought everything was going smoothly accordingly to plan, Han’s dad accidentally spilled the beans!! Oh my god!! All our plans went down the drains! How saddening! No more surprise for her! Although sooner or later Han might already know of the plan through someone, we just didn’t thought that it will be that fast (A few hours later after she reach Singapore).*Faints*
Oh well, at least she doesn’t know who are being invited to the chalet. Still got some mystery left for her to ponder over.
She was looking as radiant as ever. Although Han keeps mentioning that she had put on weight, I think likewise. Maybe perhaps she was quite tall. That’s why it doesn’t look much of an impact.
Looked like its going to rain and lighting could be seen in the sky on last sat.
I prayed real hard to God not to spoil the fun of that night. It’s not very often that we got the chance to get together. Luckily my prayers were answered. Really thankful for that!
The night went on perfectly, with the usual catching up, taking photos, eating and watching DVDs. As everyone brought something along for the bbq, there’s still plenty of leftover food in the end. As usual, we just leave it for the guys to finish it whatever they could.
To keep this night as a memory for Han, the Fab4 bought a blue glittery book and filled it with Polaroid photos taken with each of the different gang of Han’s friends. Very thoughtful of them! Well-wishes were also written down on the page beside the photos.
As for the remaining pages, she could just fill it up with more photos of the different countries that she gets to visit and show it off to us on her next visit to Spore. *Keke*
I’m now already wondering when her next trip is going to be even thought she’s still going to be around here for the next 5 days.
Hope you also enjoyed yourself too, gal!

Welcome back..
Something to look forward for this month is that Han going to be back from Uk!! Yeah!!!!
Can’t believe that she actually has been staying there for almost 10 months and now she’s finally back to visit us.
But the sad news is that she will only be around in Spore for a short stay – around 1 or 2 weeks.
And I’m not even sure of the exact date that she will back
She just refused to reveal it no matter how many million times I asked. Stubborn gal..
In the end, I give up asking, feeling quite disappointed and sad over her being so mysterious about it. Pengz. Can’t think of a reason why.
Wants to come like the wind and goes like the wind ah.
Sometimes, I tend to wonder how she looks like now as compared to before.
Getting Prettier and now talks with a ang mo slang??
Anyway, all will be revealed once we get to meet up.
Can’t wait to see her again and listen to her latest updates in Uk.
It must be really interesting and eye-opening tales that will be. Keke…
The other Sjcians will be delighted to hear that she will be back as well. They have been bugging mi about when she’s arriving back in Sg and stuff.
So gal, if you are reading this.
Please remember to arrange a day just for us and the other gals okie? And don’t forget little Yan yan too!
So expecting and see you real soon then!
*Hugs*

::Extra Bonus::
Guess what?
The government planning to give out cash to every adult starting from 21 years old!!! Yippee..
Damn elated hearing this piece of good news early in the morning. Definitely make my day better.
At first, I was quite confused when reading through the different category that the newspaper wrote.
So many rules and regulations!
After some research, I reckon that I fall into this category: $600 if you earn more than $24,000 and live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat; or if you earn $24,000 or less and live in a five-room or larger HDB flat.
Woohoo…Lots of idea is already forming in my head on how to use this fair bit of extra cash.
How about pampering myself with a nice bag, hand phone or a spa session that I always wanted to go?
Finally I decide to save the money and use it for buying air tickets to either Europe or Japan! *grins*
Well…too bad for my brother. He didn’t have much luck to receive this good fortune because of his birthday. It doesn’t fall within the date stated although he’s 21 this year. Tsk tsk…
Tough luck! Maybe next time, Bro!
Nevertheless, this extra bonus will really help a lot to those needy and low-income family and elderly people.
It’s really a joy for everyone out there who’s eligible for this.

Valentine Night out
Nearly faint at the sight of the long queue when we first arrived over at Park Mall. But still, we decided to queue up along with the others, thinking that some people might just give up queuing halfway and it might be our turn very soon. Yet, it turned out that Miss A and I had to queue up for nearly 1 and a half hour before we get inside. Break record!
Anyway, while waiting to get in, Miss A handed me a blue plastic bag.
I was damn surprised when I saw what’s inside. Chocolates! Yippee.. Very unexpected surprise!
My first Valentine gift of the day (as if anyone else will give me other gifts…hahahaa)
So sweet of her! Thankz gal!
While inside, the waitress directed us to the 2nd level of Fish & Co. I find that the decoration of the whole place was very nice and there was also live band, singing love songs and reading dedication message as well. The set meal of the day was cool which include soup of the day, ice cream, main dish and a drink to go with it.
As expected, sitting around us are mainly couples.
Kinda envy those who received flowers from their boyfriends. Tsk tsk…
Although some might say it’s kind of a waste to buy flowers for their gf on Valentine day, but I still think that a small bouquet will do just fine. I will be very happy. Hahaa…
Hope next year I will be able to receive one from my future bf. Keke

Randoms...
Apparently, my boss still has not confirmed my pay raise. Duhz.
Why give me high hope in the first place if he cannot give me an answer as yet?
Make mi so happy and then dash my hopes…
Anyway, if I really got this job offer and a better job package, I will just leave my current company and dun care about the rest.
I admit that my current company is a comfortable working place with no worries and without much supervise.
Somemore got free transport and good benefit welfare. So why still wanna leave rite?
But it’s too laidback and I feel that I will not be able to keep up with the outside world pace if one day I was to be sacked or if my company was to close down for some reason.
Well, just see how it goes then.
Soon after Chinese New Year, it’s going to be Valentine day very soon. A day where the guys will have to rack their brain for ideas to bring their beloved girlfriends to a special romantic dining place to celebrate.
When we think of Valentine’s Day, the first thing that comes to mind is red roses, Valentine’s Day cards with hearts all over and romantic candlelit dinners. Hotels and restaurants will be quick to commercialize Valentine’s Day, promoting their dinner packages for two, candles on tables, and serenades.
Other than restaurants, I think florists are the true beneficiaries of Valentine’s Day.
Normally on this day, the prices of the roses will definitely be more costly than any other day. So that only spells bad news for the guys! Because of the big hole that will be burned in their pockets, in order to please their better half.
Beside that, like any other typical girl, I also wish that if I have a bf, he will specially makes an effort to leave work early on this special day and take me out for dinner, or even better, surprise me with some little gift that he handmade.
I’m someone who appreciates all these little gift gesture or cards and will keep it aside in my box of collection for memory sake.
As for this year, I haven’t got any dates so far.
Hence I will be spending my V day with Miss A instead. Well, V day actually also mean Friendship day too.
So even if one does not have dates for that day, you can still spend it with your friends. Cheers!

Happiness is in the air
Well, it just happened that one of my colleagues (Miss S) in the same dept handed in her resignation letter (Wah…faster than me!! Haiz…).
After much consideration, the management decided to let me take over her duties and give me a pay raise as they didn’t want to employ another gal. Hence, this means that I will be solely handling the oversea market.
Anyway, Miss S actually knows of my plan of resigning and advices me to stay put first and try to make use of this chance to “train” myself to handle this huge responsibility. It will be beneficial for me. Oh well, hopefully I will be able to handle all these additional workload and don’t let my boss down.
Yes! That also means I will be stuck here for the time being. But I will still carry on looking for a new job and leave here when I got a good offer. Even thought I hate the idea of staying here again, but the fact of able to request for a higher pay range is very much to my liking! Yeah!!
Secondly, one of my poly gal buddies, Miss A, is getting Rom on the 1st of Feb.
I was quite surprised when she breaks the news to me as i didn't hear her mentioning any news about that.
Haha.. Seems that she wanted everthing to be booked and confirmed before she reveals the big news.
Truly thrilled for her as she has finally found her Mr. Right and able to build
their love nest together very soon.
Wish you all the best, blissful gal!
I reckon for these next 2 years, most of my friends will be settling down one by one.
It’s not an easy task to find someone who shares the same frequency and goals in life.
So for those who found theirs, congratulation!
You are on your way to a new chapter in life.
To me, the thought of settling down with someone seems quite distant.
Perhaps, it’s partly because I haven’t met the one who gives me that feeling yet.

Memoirs of a Geisha
Haha… What a pleasure of having such special treats!
Yesterday, we went to watch the premiere of “Memoirs of a Geisha” at Cineleisure. Needless to say, it was free tickets again this time, courtesy of Media corps.
On hearing that it was going to be free seating, we quickly finish our dinner and headed straight for the cinema.
Well, as the saying goes: early birds always get to choose the good seats but little did we know that the whole level of cinemas was all booked for showing that movie at that time slot. Hence, still got plenty of seats around. Oh well, never mind then.
Had heard good comments about this movie and that it was nominated for 2 Golden Globes.
Basically, in Memoirs of a Geisha, a world where appearances are paramount; where a girl's virginity is auctioned to the highest bidder; where women are trained to beguile the most powerful men; and where love is scorned as illusion.
Sayuri’s (Zhang Zhi Yi) story begins in a poor fishing village in 1929, when, as a nine-year-old with unusual blue-gray eyes, she is taken from her home and sold into slavery to a renowned geisha house.
Slowly, thought-out the show, we can witness her transformation as she learns the rigorous arts of the geisha: dance and music; wearing silk kimono, elaborate makeup and hair; competing with a jealous rival for men's solicitude and the money that goes with it.
Rather interesting to understand how the culture of the geisha is like and the movie did a fine job establishing the highly disciplined world of a geisha, a world where many sacrifices are to be made.
Plus, there were also beautiful scenery in the streets of Gion - the geisha district of Kyoto - with its marvelous teahouses and theaters, narrow back alleys, ornate temples.
On the whole, it was quite an entertaining and interesting show but was rather lengthy too. I was squirming in my seat, wondering when it was going to end. Keke…perhaps feeling quite tired.
Nevertheless, this movie brings me to another level of understanding of Japan’s history, which I always been interested in, ever since I was young.
I’m more determined to visit Japan if I got the chance. To try on the lovely kimono, admire the sakura flowers and visit the ornate temples.

Gloomy Weather
Oh my..it’s been raining non-stop these 2 days! I can’t even go out shopping alone as I don't want to be drenching wet and feeling cold out there. I HATE it esp. when it’s raining non-stop on weekend. Makes me totally no mood to hang out in the street.
Well, I had actually booked an appointment to go for facial today but "lazy" me got to reschedule it to next Tue instead. I refuse to step out into the cold weather out there.
I rather kept myself warm in my bed or even surfing net and looking out for jobs online.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a bright and sunny day then!
It’s supposed to be a long weekend for me but I actually waste 2 days, rotting at home – watching DVD (bewitched), listening to songs and tidying up my room. Arghhh….
Pls dun rain anymore tomorrow! Will be most grateful!

Resolutions for Year 2006
Well, one of them is definitely a new work environment! Which I hopefully wish for….
Been on the lookout for a new job for ages! But it’s going to be tough as I wanted to change into totally different work aspects.
It’s all about related qualification and relevant work experience that the employers are looking for. Tsk tsk
That’s explaining why I’m still stuck in this current job for so long. Arghh…
Anyway, it’s been nearly 4 years on my current job. Hence it’s really time to move on. To learn more stuffs and gain more work experience.
Perhaps one will tends to fear and waver at the thought of stepping out of the comfort zone. But the career advancement and prospects are the more important factors to be considered, rather than doing the same old thing for your whole life. Don’t you think so?
Thus, I really need to be firm and persistent to look out what I’m looking for in a job. Other than that, luck also plays a part too. I will be most grateful if any kind-hearted person out there will grant me the opportunity to work in my dream job. Keke…
If there are no other options, I will choose back the same job scope but different work industry.
Worse come to worse, maybe I will just quit my job and perhaps might get a better chance of getting a new job. (Neh…. that’s a risky move) Haha..
In conclusion, I just wanted to experience a new work style and learn more things while I’m still young.
So wish me luck, folks. Do let me know if you happen to know of any interesting jobs out there,k? Muacks~
