Christmas in Vietnam

Land of a thousand scooters, beautiful women, steaming bowls of pho and fresh drip coffee. This could possibly count as a belated honeymoon coupled with Kait's first trip abroad. She hated the airplanes, especially the take off and landing because it made her ears hurt; but the kiddie bags more than made up for it. We did the Cuchi tunnels of course for maximum tourist effect. Here are some pictures of us traipsing around the red sand dunes near Mui Ne Beach and also trying out a Viet Cong hat on our way home at the airport. Also one inside a great sushi bar in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City which was called what else - "Sushi Bar"
Aside to Bean: Here's also the picture of Kait in Canadian Moose top!

Images of Tampa

The first photo shows a regular Tampa Street, with pizza shop on the corner. The weather has been rather grey and cloudy as you can see, but nothing I'm not already used to from Nottingham/London. I was actually trying to take a picture of a blimp but it showed up too tiny on my camera phone so I settled for a shot of the street I happened to be standing in instead.

Tampa where I was located was kind of bland, with only a few shops that generally closed by 5pm. This translated to largely in-hotel dining or starve. The funny thing here is the way pizza shops capitalise on the market gap and slip delivery flyers under the hotel door (we deliver up to 1am...or 3am). Observing market growth for the pizza industry slowing, innovativation has become the rallying cry with creations like 'Breakfast Pizza' aimed to dispel the standing belief that pizzas are foods to be eaten later in the day, and in consequence of course sell more of the flat breads. Somehow this rings of McDonalds.

The other two photos are from Hockey Night yesterday. Home team Tampa Bay Lightnings vs St Louis Blues. Blues expected to be trashed but gave the Lightnings a good run for their moneywith a final 4-3 score to home. Very exciting fast paced game that marries grace on skates with game-inspired violence. 3 sets of 20 mins, and complete with junior team and cheerleaders featured. Excellent stuff. Unfortunately I was keeling over in my seat only 30 mins into the game from jetlag. Managed to stay awake till the end though and even follow the puck progress most of the way! Thanks to Trico for the tickets, and Kevan/.Rojean for organizing.

A Little Doll

Some of my favourites taken when she was 5 months plus, the first time she wore a dress. Isn't she a doll.

Wee-Wee Maiden Blog

Finally succumbed to the blogging craze and here you go: my very first post. I decided the naming would be in honour of Kait-Lyn, our totally wriggly totally amazing bundle of baby charm. This is a picture of her as a really new newborn. The real thing, warts and all. Absolutely adorable from the very start - as only parents could say.

And the Stork Flew Over the Moon

One of the rare pictures of me in top preggers form - thanks to Bean's digicam! This is the best profile shot. As you can see Kait is well on her way.
