Christmas Day

Today is Christmas Day, the day which Daryl had been waiting eagerly for as he wanted to open his presents. :p

Our Christmas tree filled with all the kids' presents

The presents

Daryl making a funny face

Daryl & Dawn. I was trying to take a good pic of them before they opened their presents. As you can see, I didn't succeed.

I managed to take a good 1 of Daryl with his 2 peace signs.

Dawn ignored me & decided to drink her apple juice instead.

Then it's presents opening time.

Kel helping Dawn to open her presents

Daryl opening his presents himself as "he's a big boy already", at least that's what he told us. :p

After the presents opening, we went to eat our Mac brunch. What a great way to start the day!! :)

Dawn & Bernice

Catherine sent me this pic via MSN just now...

The 1st pic was taken at the Aug 2008 mummies & babies gathering in Nov 2008 while the 2nd pic was taken at her Christmas party in Dec 2009. See what a great difference 13 months made. Seeing the pic makes me very nostalgic as I miss Dawn at that age.

Catherine & I then made a pact. We shall take a pic of us & our gals every year to document their growth. :p

Thanks a lot for the Christmas gift, Cat...

Agar Agar

Daryl's school is having a Christmas party tomorrow. As it is a potluck party, each kid has to bring 1 dish along.

After 'serious' consideration, I decided to get agar agar for Daryl to bring to school. Initially, I thought of buying the agar agar from NTUC as I haven't made them before. However, I was not able to buy them as NTUC had stopped selling them already. Therefore, I decided to make my own. :p

After school, I brought Daryl to Parkway Parade to have dinner then to Giant to buy the ingredients needed. When we were done, we went back home to prepare the agar agar. I decided to make a 30 cups of a 3 layers agar agar - red, green & red to symbolise Christmas.

The 1st layer. I am waiting for them to cool down so that I can add in the longan & the 2nd layer.

When Daryl see me putting in the longans, he wanted to help too.

The agar agar after Daryl had finished putting in the longans

After Daryl had finished putting in the longans, I poured the 2nd layer into the cups. When it cooled down, I poured in the 3rd layer.

The finished agar agar. Not bad for my 1st time attempt right? :p

Now it's time to put them in the fridge. Tomorrow morning, Daryl can bring them to school for the party. I hope that he & his classmates would like them. :)

KL Trip - Day 4

Today is the last day of our trip already. Time really passes by very fast especially when we are having fun.

Kel & Daryl watching TV while waiting for me to pack our stuff

Kel, Daryl & Dawn. Dawn is playing beside Daryl as she's not interested in watching TV.

Dawn & Daryl. Daryl got bored watching TV & went to see what Dawn is playing with.

Then it was time to get ready to check out of our room already. When we were ready, Kel called the porter to come to our room to help us with our luggage. After settling the hotel bill, we waited in the lobby for our cab to arrive.

Daryl & me

Then our cab arrived & we set off for KL's LCCT. We reached LCCT in about 45 minutes time & went to check in our luggage. Luckily our luggage are not overweight. I was afraid that they might be overweight due to the titbits which I had bought. :p

When we finished our check in, we went to Marrybrown to have lunch. The chicken at Marrybrown tastes very different from KFC. Hopefully we can get to eat it in Singapore soon.

After lunch, we went to explore LCCT as we are still early for our flight. We went inside Emporium to browse as I wanted to get chewing gum. I left Kel & the kids at the toys section of Emporium while I went to get my chewing gum. When I came back to them, I saw this...

Dawn was trying to carry the Pooh Bear soft toy which is even bigger than her! Kel told me that she managed to carry it & walked around for a while before putting it down in exhaustion. Kel said that she was looking for me to show me the Pooh Bear. I think she probably wants me to buy for her. :p

As it was nearing the time to board our plane, we had to leave Emporium. I had to carry a wailing Dawn out as she refused to let go of the Pooh Bear. I didn't want to buy it for her as I don't think that she would want to play with it when we are back home.

We bought some more titibits when we are in the transit lounge. :p It seems that my loot for this trip is mostly titbits. However, not all are ours as they are meant to be gifts to our families.

Then we walked to the boarding gate to wait to board our plane. While waiting, Dawn fell asleep. It seems that her virgin flight was spent sleeping. What a waste. :p

Me & a sleeping Dawn

See how sound asleep she is

We reached Singapore at about 4.15pm. Kel's friend came to pick us up at the airport as he had to pass the car back to us. We dropped him off at Simei MRT station & proceeded home. Finally it's home sweet home. That concluded the end of our short holiday. Hopefully we can do it again soon. :)
