Hope Santy Claws was good to you
Dear Friends in the Cat Blogosphere,
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas with lots of ham and pressies and playtime and snuggles and all the good things that the season has to offer. We are missing our mommy and daddy but there are now only two more days until they are home from Phoenix, Ar-E-Zon-A. Don't worry about us because our Dee Ree and Pop Pop come over twice a day and play red dot with us and feed us and give us way more treats than mommy and daddy ever do. We don't have any photos yet of our time with them because we'll be celebrating Christmas a little late with them when they get back. However, here are some photos from last Christmas to try and be a little festive.

Happy Birthday Mommy - Please Come Home Soon!!
Today is our mommy's birthday! We are sad because mommy and daddy went to Phoenix, Arizona, and so we don't get to see Mommy on her birthday today. We know she and daddy went away for a good reason (to visit our grandma and grandpa MacDougall and sister Lacey and our Aunt Joyce and her family and our GREAT grandma and grandpa MacDougall) so we love you anyway, Mommy! Happy Birthday!!

Photo Hunters #10 - Small and a Golden Rose
Today's Photo Hunters is Small so we thought we'd show you some old photos of us when we were small little 4 month old kittens.
We also wanted to thank our great buddy, Chairman Mao, for sharing a golden rose with us! We are very honored! We were sad that mommy wouldn't help us make it to Miss Peach's tea party but because Mao gave us a golden rose that he got from there, we almost feel like we were there. Thank you, Mao!

Secret Paws!
Mr. Chen got his Secret Paws yesterday! The package and treats came all the way from Or-e-gun! His Secret Paws gift was sent from his new friends Napoleon, Hunter, Belle, and Little Raowr. He was so excited and loved all his special treats which included several cans of fancy feast, a pink and silver shiny feaver-ball, a big black furry mouse, four crazy claws balls, some pounce moist tuna treats and two packs of Whiskas choice cuts!! Ollie can't wait to get his now! We have to help mommy get her act together so we can send our secret paws out before the 21st. We're going to have mommy do our shopping this weekend. We can't wait to send ours to our Secret Paws, too.
Thank you, Napoleon, Hunter, Belle, and Little Raowr!!! What a wonderful Secret Paws!

Thursday Thirteen #17
Remember we told you that mommy and daddy went to New York City this past weekend? Well, they want to a party and got to see Olympia. Remember our special friend, Sweet Olympia, we told you about before? Well, they got to see her and mommy petted her for a long time. Here are two photos of Olympia from the party. We dedicate this Thursday Thirteen to our strong and beautiful friend, Olympia.
Thirteen Things We Love About Olympia
1. She was the center of attention at a very large holiday party. Mommy said that there were lots of people and noise and still Olympia was in the middle of everything and even sat on the couch and demanded love and attention.
2. Olympia scarfed down shrimpies that Daddy fed her like she was a little kitten.
3. She is a sweet girl kitty at heart even though she is 18 years and 4 months old.
4. Even though she is skin and bones, she still is very strong on the inside.
5. She has beautiful furs where there are furs left.
6. She is very friendly and let mommy pet her and take her photos.
7. Olympia loves her daddy and mommy and her kidbean very much.
8. She bravely fought through chemo with her grandma at the same time.
9. She is a mix of Maine Coon and another type of kitty we're not sure. Maine Coons are very special.
10. Olympia bravely takes her insulin shots every day, twice a day. In addition to the cancer she fought, she also has diabetes now so has to get her insulin.
11. Olympia likes to travel and goes everywhere with her family. Most recently she went to Buffalo, New York for Thanksgiving. This is very impressive, especially since we are so scared to travel and we are not even sick.
12. Olympia doesn't dwell on the fact that she is sick (CLEARLY because she was right in the center of the party this past weekend) and lives every moment of her 9 lives to the fullest possible extent.
13. We love our special beautiful friend Olympia. She is a wonderful role model to all kitties to stay young at heart all your life and enjoy each moment!!

Mancat Monday
What a busy weekend! Mommy hasn't helped us blog or visit our friends since last week. Mommy and Daddy went to New York City on Saturday for two parties. Then today they had another party. Tomorrow mommy leaves for Minnesota and then Friday daddy leaves for New York City. We do not approve of all this hustle and bustle and then extra work trips to boot! Shouldn't December be for snuggling and fires and staying at home?

Inhumane!
Today in Pikeville, Berks County, PA, a live pigeon shoot was held for two hours. This horrible and inhumane practive of pigeon shoots makes our mommy very angry. Mommy says pigeons are beautiful intelligent birds and do not deserve to be so cruelly treated as this. She is especially upset that Pennsylvania is still known for holding its pigeon shoots and has still not outlawed them even though they are illegal in almost all other states. This horrible practice must end.
If you live in Pennsylvania, please help support HB 73 which is trying to end pigeon shoots in this state once and for all. Be vocal and tell your legislators that you won't stand for this barbaric practice to continue in our state any longer.
Anyone who is interested in reading a really excellent book about pigeons should read Pigeons, The Fascinating Saga of the World's Most Revered and Reviled Bird by Andrew Blechman. Bleckman explores all aspects of the world of pigeons from the cruel and inhuame world of live shoots to bird shows and pigeon races and much more. He gives an excellent unbiased account of how this amazing bird has impacted our lives and how we humans have impacted pigeons.

Sad news
We were very saddened to learn that Jeter Harris and Mickey's beautiful sister, Kallie, went to the Bridge on Thursday morning. She was 17 and a half years old and we know she lived a grate life (how could it not be grate with JH and Mickey for bruthers??) Our hearts go out to Jeter and Mickey and their family in this tough time. We are purring for Kallie on The Rainbow Bridge and know that we will all see her again someday.

A Thanksgiving Tale
We wanted to share a little story with you about how Ollie and Mr. Chen were very excited about the preparations underway at our house for the big Thanksgiving feast. Daddy and mommy were ironing the tablecloths and Ollie thought this was great fun and a wonderful reason to practice some of his jumps and claw work. Once that fun was over, the tablecloths were put on the tables and Ollie immediately jumped up on the table with the nice fresh ironed tablecloth. This did not go over very well with mommy and she got the spray bottle out for the first time since we were little kittens. The spray bottle did not go over well with Ollie who really did not enjoy being squirted with cold water while trying to enjoy the fresh new tablecloth. Soooo.... Ollie decided to leave a little surprise for mommy on the table!! Heee-heeee!! Can you see it???? Too bad mommy found this before the company came or it would have been REALLY funny!
