I love my 'darling husband'. It's funny because when he saw that the LO of him was titled "DH", he asked, "What the heck does DH mean?" Haha! I forget he doesn't know much forum lingo.

I used the new Carnivale Border die to add a little more interest to the edge of my background patterned paper.
The Sunflower dies worked perfect as my main element. These sunflowers are super detailed and so realistic looking, I just love them. To add a little more dimension, I topped each flower with a Dimensional Button.

Last week I showed you the glass block nightlight I had decorated with Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  Well, I thought I would share the other side of the block with you today.  It is now finished.


I started with the new Lattice Circle Frame, trimming it to fit the block.  I added a piece of 36# vellum behind the lattice to help defuse the light.  Next I added two Tropical Flourish die cuts and then layered the Grass Border along the bottom.  The last step was these gorgeous butterflies from the Exotic Butterflies Small set to which I added vellum inserts using the coordinating Angel Wing sets.  I colored the vellum using my Memento dye ink markers.  And here is how beautiful it looks with the light on..........


I purchased my glass block, stand and light from Hobby Lobby.  But a Google search on Krafty Blok will turn up many sources to purchase them.  This block is about 6" square.

Kianel here with you today to show a booklet card i made using terrific dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Hope you will enjoy this!
 To build my base i used a large square stackers on a bended cardstock. I then used the cardmaker's stackers to cut my printed paper. The frame is coming from the emporor's swan die. I decorated the edge of the booklet using the carnivale border die and cutting the paper along the shape. I also used the set #2 of the large leaves, the Judy's blossoms die and the small exotic butterfly set.
On the inside of the card, i used the cardmaker's stackers to cut my printed paper. And decorated with dies from CLD that i distressed with ink.
Here you can see that i created a pocket that i shaped after the carnivale border die from the new collection by CLD. Inside the pocket i "hided" a tag made from the Heartland of America die that i covered with printed paper on both sides. On the top, i added a heart chain border that i inked and decorated with pearls.
 On the right side, i used a stamp from Magnolia where Tilda is playing violin and decided to play with a CLD die i have had for quite a long time now but never used, and those music notes were the perfect match! The whole image is taped with 3D pads on a dutch tulip doily partly covered with a large circle stackers of printed paper.

Good Monday morning, Cheery Lynn Designs Blog readers!! It's Tanisha Long here with a gorgeous (if I must say so myself) altered project created using Cheery Lynn Designs dies. I purchased this unfinished wood birdhouse quite some time ago from AC Moore. I was cleaning out my scrap room yesterday when I "rediscovered" it. Don't you love when that happens? I decided to give it an overhaul using Creative Imaginations luminarte paints, IOD Devotion and several dies and an embossing plate.

After painting the edges of the birdhouse, I cut panels to fit the 4 sides. Before adhering them, I embossed each using the Bricks and Stones embossing plate to give the walls of the birdhouse a textured look. Next, I cut the Border Carnivale several times and then layered the trimmed strips to the roof to form the shingles.

I cut the Victorian Picket Fence from chipboard and cardstock, layered the 2 for sturdiness and then adhered to the back of the birdhouse. I embellished the fence with the Grass Border and Exotic Mini Butterflies.


Here's a close-up of the one of the sides. You can really see the layered effect that I created using the border carnivale die.

I added a little shimmer to the edges of the shingles by painting each with luminarte paint in oyster.




Here's a close-up of one of the mini butterflies. I really like this size because you can add several of them and still have room on your projects for other embellishments.

Here's a close-up of the grass border and victorian fence. These 2 are an amazing pair!!

I added strips of glittered dome pearls to the bottom of my project to finish it off.

Here is a cute diagonal easel card I made using the newly released Cheery Lynn Designs Dainty Dutch Deco Frame, Tropical Flourish and Border Carnivale


I started with this great paper from the Jillibean Blossom Soup 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped Tilda as a Butterfly with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto Cryogen paper, cut her out and used Copics:
Tilda - E000, E00, E11, white Glaze pen
Hair - E41, E42, R43
Dress and Socks - R81, R83, R85
Shoes - E42, E44
Wings - YG61, Y02, Y08, YR65
Shadow - C1
I die cut and layered butterflies from the Exotic Butterflies Mini set on the frame and the Exotic Butterflies Small set on the inside panel.  Finished size is 6" square.

Today I want to share this bright and cheeryful Belated Birthday card featuring dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.  It seemed only fitting to create a "sunny" card given that it is Summer here where I'm at (always happy news when you live in Michigan!).

1. Create a 41/4 x 5 1/2 inch card base from yellow cardstock.
2. Die cut piece of blue cardstock using the Lattice 1 die and adhere to card base.
3. Die cut piece of patterned paper from Rectangle Card-Makers Stackers Nesting Dies and adhere to piece of yellow cardstock cut from one size larger Rectangle Card-Makers Stackers Nesting Dies; adhere to card front.
4. Die cut Judy's Blooms from both yellow and blue cardstock, assemble flower and adhere to card front.
5. Cut banner from yellow cardstock, stamp with sentiment, score ends of banner to fold in as shown on card and adhere with dimensional foam tape.
6. Adhere rhinestone to flower.

Everyone loves to get 2 for 1. Well, Cheery Lynn Designs knows that so many of their new Doilies and Exotic Dies are just that -2 dies for the price of one.
Today I used the "insides" of the Japanese Lace & Flourish Frame. They are just so pretty and perfect for a cluster of flowers on any LO or card.

I love finding ways to use the cute little bicycle.


You know I gotta' throw one of the fabulous butterfly dies in there. Cheery Lynn is famous for these. I matted the butterfly with a soft background color before jazzing it up with a pop of red glitter glue.

I have always wanted to make a nightlight using a glass block.  They are really made for windows and shower stalls but some bright person got crafty with them and now you can get them and all the accessories at most craft stores.  I was inspired to try it today......


I began with my Dutch Scallop Square adding a piece of paper from the DCWV Mariposa stack to the center.  Next I die cut 2 Exotic Butterfly #3 Med's from black card stock, then die cut an insert out of vellum using the matching Angel Wing #3 Medium.  I colored the spaces in the wings with Memento dye ink markers. 


Next using my Border Carnivale I added the side pieces, two of these borders fit the sides perfectly.  I left a space in the top as I knew I would be covering it up.


For the top I added a Scallop Cove Rectangle Little Stackers Nesting die as a base.  Using Judy's Blooms, I created a multi-layered flower, bending the petals up and down for extra dimension.  As a finishing touch, I added the new Tropical Flourish for some flair and a smaller butterfly created the same way using the Exotic Butterflies Mini set and the coordinating Angel Wings Mini set.


Now for the fun part, as you can see the block sits in a metal base and there is a single light attached to the base which sits inside the block.  Look how beautiful it is when it is all aglow!  The light shines through all the little die cuts and is just gorgeous.  I have an idea for decorating the other side but I will leave that for another day.  I hope I have inspired you to give this a try.

I had a lot of fun playing with those and they are absolutely terrific. on this card, i used the dies "tropical flourish" "carnivale border" "XL square stackers" "cardmaker's rectangle stackers" "mini exotic butterfly" and "french doily". I also used my "Cuttlehug" to make all those intricate dies cut like butter in my Cuttlebug.
