No Nap Nina and her four top teeth
We sometimes have days that Nina does not want to nap. On these days I leave her in her room so I can have a break and she can try to get herself settled into sleep. Here she is one hour into her nap. I thought maybe she needed a change. While on the table she had a giggle fit(with my tickle help) I took this video and put her back in the crib and she seems to have surprisingly settled down...Her top four teeth are bothering her and it's crazy to see them poking through more and more each day.

The Running of the Elvises
Took Nina to Old City(Philadelphia) for her first time on Saturday for lunch with our friend B. We ate at my favorite place(Continental) Nina helped me with the fries and turkey burger! That girl can eat! Later we ran into these guys!
March of Dimes Walk was today and we raised 2950.00 for Team Fox! Way to Go!
It was LONG this year! 6 miles! Nina got to stay home and sleep while Jason and I walked for her!

Baby you can ride my car.
Team Fox Rocks!
March for Babies is this weekend. So far we're over $2700.00! Thanks to all (especially the folks over at Verispan) for your contributions!
We are walking rain or shine. Hopefully the rain will hold off until after the 5 miles.
Nina loves being outside and we listen for the birds and look for planes. I guess all the fresh air is giving her an appetite because she is up to 19.10! Nothing else new to report except she has four top teeth coming in and is a biting machine.

Enjoying the weather.
At music class today Nina was a little crappy. We suspect it's the two top teeth poking through. She's doing well with her car, she is riding well on it, and we are thinking of purchasing a wagon/pull buggy so we can pull her instead of the back breaking pushing.
Nina is beginning to stand on her own for a few moments at a time. She will be playing and then let go, stand there, and look at me and then fall down.
We found a yogurt called Liberte
We love it because it packs 260 calories in only 6oz and Nina thinks it's yummy!

Nina's music class
Here's Nina on her first day of music class. She was little social butterfly in class. She went up to other kids and tried to pulled up on them(just like she does with the cat) She pointed out snaps and flowers on kids clothes, she climbed into laps of other moms. She yelled for attention from teacher and others. She banged on a drum and rattled bells and lots of other fun stuff.
She even got a bloody nose after class...(I told her it'll be hard for me to make mommy friends if she is not always on her A game) Blame it on seasonal air changes and dry nose. She's fine now...She absolutely enjoyed herself and I know she'll do great being around other kids. The class is small- only 7 kids with moms. PLUS after class she gets to use the gym and play around on all the cool mats and tubes and stuff.

Hello Spring!

Nina ventured off the blanket today to play in the grass! It did take some days of just hanging on the blanket but she was brave today. She loves her new car and being pushed around it on the grass made her day!

PT was here yesterday and said Nina was doing great so she'll only visit us once a month instead of the originally planned every 2 weeks. Her crawling has really taking off and so has her pull to stand (on everything!) Nina loves climbing over stacked pillows and falling on to them. PT said Nina would probably dig a tumbling class...
PT said Nina needs to work on her cruising. Currently Nina prefers to sit down and stand back up where the object she wants is. Get stepping little lady!

Experiencing the good life
We to dinner to celebrate Nina's Appie's B-day.She tasted the swordfish and seafood risotto. For dessert she ate cream filling out of a cake. She is getting a very sophisticated palate. She makes me nuts, she'll eat swordfish but turns her nose up at a banana. C'est la vie.
Here's Appie in red and BFF Maria feeding Nina dessert.

She's got the fever, oh she's got the fever...
Miss Nina is a bit under the weather. Happened yesterday. I took her for a walk in the late afternoon and when we came inside, her teeth began to chatter. Another hour went by and she was whiny so Jason took her up to get ready for bed and sure enough she had a fever of 102.8. We dosed her up with meds and then checked back in 2 hours and it had spiked to 103.6! She was beat red all over! Her fever broke in the middle of the night and today she hovered around 101-101.5. I have no idea what her deal is. The only symptoms she is presenting(SO FAR) is the fever. Doctor said she may/may not present. Oh great-nothing like waiting...She's acting her usual self, just much much lower key and tired. She managed to pull up her head for this photo. If the fever is still hanging around by Friday, we'll go in to see Dr.I bought Motrin for tonight, so hopefully she'll sleep better.
Updated 7:00pm: Fever's finally gone...no need for the motrin..seems it was a 24 hour thing. Yeah for drugs!

On the food front
Since Nina's been trying some new foods, I wanted to keep track of what she likes and does not like. Shout out to Hagen and Mason for this idea from their blog! She loves:
Wheat toast with cream cheese and/or crackers with cream cheese (huge hit)
American cheese slices
Cheerios (of course!)
CHEESE RAVIOLI(loves loves loves!)
Gerber cheese curls
Chick-Fil-a grilled chicken and waffle fried (you bet)
She likes:
Waffles with cream cheese
pasta
broccoli
mac and cheese
mashed white potatoes (eating in the pic)
gerber cookies
puffs
Not so much:
banana chunks (surprising but it's mushy so I understand...)
sweet potato chunks (same here-she loves the puree baby food, but not to feed herself)
cottage cheese
pancakes
french toast sticks
Yesterday I thought I could trick her and put cream cheese on french toast but she gagged on it... I am going to try hummus on toast for a change and see how that goes over...
It's weird she likes mashed potatoes but not mashed sweet. She'll eat mushy things like ravioli(actually I cooked them al dente yeah that's right:) but not pancakes...
She's being a great eater, so who cares right?!
