Indochina Completed with Conquering Mount Fansipan: 20th Mar - 27th Mar 2012

It is the third time in Vietnam and the second time in Hanoi. Hanoi is used more like a stopover this time as we will only spend the first (half day), the second last day (full day) and the next morning before departing for the airport. Travel Companion this time - Yi Xiang.

20/03/12

Arrived in hanoi at 1215pm (Local time), queued for a long time at the custom counters.. Board a shuttle bus to the old quarters and one of the guide mistaken us for Vietnamese and started speaking to us in Vietnamese. Lol.. Arrived in 24 Ly Quoc Su street at a Sinh Cafe in Hanoi travel agency at about 2:30pm, the lady who served us is very helpful and went ahead to assist us with our train tickets, Sapa and Fansipan trekking trips. We decided to go with the agency without checking out the others as the time is drawing close to the time of our train departure.

After the tours were booked, we headed out to get food, we went in to a store which sell com ga (porridge) and met kiki (Gan Zhao) a young girl from guangzhou province who is totally unprepared without the ability to read map.* Salute* we walked around the hoan kiem lake and viewed a large statues before biding goodbye.

Train station transfer picked us up from the tour agency at 8pm to Ga Hanoi. We were told that not to follow anyone whom do not have our name on it. We met Yew Bee (a single traveler from Singapore) while waiting for the train. She is truly a jovial lady whom self entertained herself with all the picture taking and such, while waiting for onboard. We started talking in the cabin before the train moved off. We took the luxury option this time, not much of a difference compared to soft sleepers  except for a LCD TV and HIFI in cabin which are not used throughout the journey. The bed is seriously too firm! Feels like sleeping on a wooden block. I guess I was too tired knocked out after the train set off for the Lao Cai station.

21/03/12
Arrived at Lao Cai around 7pm, and board the Sapa Summit Hotel transfer to Sapa. While waiting, we met Debra (a lady from Perak). We arrived at the hotel around 8pm had breakfast and set off for light trekking 12km down sloped. Just optimal to prepare from hard trekking tml up mount fansipan. It turns out to be a private tour. Just the 2 of us, tour guide and 2 escorts.. Oops! I mean young girls from the Black Hmong village, with intention to sell us their handicrafts. The trekking took us through 2 villages - Lao Chai and Tavan. On the way, we met the Red Zay minorities. at the end of our trekking, we were transported back to our hotel by minibus. And free and easy for the rest of the day. Sapa is a small and laid back small town. Nothing much, other than the Sapa market. Dog meats were on sale.. Cruelity :( Back in the hotel for dinner then rested around 7pm before the strenuous trek tomorrow.

22/03/12

Woke up at 7pm recharged and had breakfast (same dishes) slacked in the room till 9am before the start of our hard trekking. Kind of worried though.. We met our tour guide Chin Su, very funny guy as well as our porter, a quiet yet sincere guy. We arrived at the Tram Nui Xe station around 10am and started 'easy' trekking according to our guide, to the first base camp at 2200m where we had lunch. We had bagelette. After lunch, we continued trekking up till the second base camp 2800m. I knew that once we hit 2500m our body will start to deteriorate as we are not suitable to living on such a high altitude. I started panting hard when we went beyond 2500m, I am very worried that acute mountain sickness (AMS) might hit me as I didn't exactly prepare before this hike, so I went real slow. I struggled and persevered and arrived at Base Camp 2 (2800m) before nightfall. Night sets in as soon as the clock strikes 1845hr. We had dinner in the pre-pitched tents. The temperature dropped after nightfall. End of warming up day.

23/02/12

Due to my crawling speed, we started ascending upon daybreak (0600hrs). We ascended till 2900m and decend till 2700m before heading upwards to 3143m (summit). We arrived back at base camp 2 (2800) around 2pm had a quick lunch and started decending till Base camp 1 (2200m). The descend was tough, accompanied with strong wind, rain and night trek before arriving at 2200m. We had dinner together with Chin Su in the kitchen before knocking out. My appetite wasn't too well and didn't had much. The temperature dropped drastically with the pouring rain through the night. I shivered for the whole night, even the heat packs didn't work this time. Brrrr... *cold*

24/03/12

Awoken by the noises from the other campers, around 0630hrs with a cat right beside YX. Had breakfast before descending to the Tram Nui Xe station. Arrived at the Tram Nui Xe station around 1100hrs, transferred back to the sapa summit hotel. Checked in and bathed before heading out for lunch at a hillside cafe in front of La Grenouille hotel. Nice Pho Bo and Kafe She! After wondering around the sapa market we went back to the hotel to do some cleaning up for the trekking equipments and watched some classical drama channel before dinner. During dinner, the power tripped several times before they managed to fix the circuit breaker. Resting in process..

25/03/12

It is already Sunday! Didn't really feel like I was on a trip as we were trekking non-stop since we arrived in sapa. Tired! We departed from our hotel at 715am for the Bac Ha market. The bus journey took around 3hrs, arrived at the Bac Ha market (another tourist trap with the 'art' of ctrl C and ctrl V) around 1030am and we were given 1.5hrs to shop around the market before lunch. There is a horse, birds and Cattles markets other than the usual handicraft. The lunch was great other than the rice that tasted like rubber. We continued our tour through a Flower Hmong village, the kitchen and furnishing in the huts are just basics. There is a handsome horse found in the village. Mother pig and ten or more piglets?!?! Goodness! Now I know why my mum always talks abt Mu4 Zhu1! Haha.. The journey continued on to the border within Lao Cai and China (Yunnan - Kunming City) literately all you have to do to get a Chinese stamp is to just walk over.. It is so near! Lol.. The bus dropped us off at a guesthouse just across Ga Lao Cai. Without much option, we wandered aimlessly around the small city (rather town) to kill some time before dinner is served and our train back to hanoi at 9pm. Sianz.. Watching the staff setting the table up for dinner. Dinner was simple fare; fried rice with egg. We left Ngoc Ha guesthouse and headed off to Ga lao cai shortly. The lady boss is nice and she speaks mandarin too! There are some hipcups at the station, the train (SP6) was delayed. It is the first time I need to cross the tracks as to board our train. We only managed to get the hard sleepers this time, however it wasn't as bad as I imagined or maybe I was tired out by the day's itinerary. The mattress was soft, just that the pillow was a way too flat (I need to put it above my backpack) for a comfortable night rest.

26/03/12

We arrived in Ga Long Bien around 630am and took a taxi over to our hotel at Le Quoc Su. Unfortunately, they didn't have a room till noon. We started the day with seeking for coffee powder in Hang Buom, a nice lady made a cup of Weasel 1 (strong) coffee for me but I didn't patronize her as the price quoted were way too steep or should I say tourist price. 100g of blue mountain for 8usd?!?! Crazy! That is like thrice the price in HCMC. A total ripped off. we started roaming around the northern part of Hanoi City. Around 1130am, we went to Green Tangerine for lunch! Haha.. Simply recalling it made me so excited! Duck (red meat) accompanied with Shiraz is just the best combination. Rock on! After lunch, I started my shopping spree with a Crumpler bag, T-shirts, Souvenirs, etc and for once I ran out of Dongs! Luckily, one of the shop owner is willingly to take my SGD and exchange dongs for us. Having too much stuffs on hands, we decided to head back to our hotel to check in. :) we were allocated a room on the first level with a balcony. Cosy layout - country style. I napped for awhile before dinner. Yx and I parted for dinner on our own as we had different agenda. He will be heading for the puppets show. While I had already covered the entire hanoi during my last trip. I started roaming on my own and met a couple of nice people along the way in the art galleries. Initially, I only had intention to roam near my hotel, or sticking to only the straight paths that lead me back to the hotel but like always I wandered off. I went onto an art street with lots of large art galleries, captivated by one of the cat painting and walked into one of the art galleries spoke to the boss and come to know that the painting was painted by a renowned local artist who is in his fifties, guess how much it costs? Usd$650 (way off budget) quite tempted though as I got my cards with me. I also noticed that north painters paint based on their feel and likings unlike the south that do more on reproduction paintings. I moved on to the next gallery and picked up a painting before heading back to the hotel. Poor direction sense of mine led me in the wrong direction again. Gave up with the map and just asked for directions to the hoam kiam lake, no one local can miss that. Lol.. Started navigating from the lake is way easier as compared to the opera theatre.. Went pass little hanoi hostel 2, the place where I stayed during the previous trip in Hanoi before arriving in Ly Quoc Su. Home sweet hotel :)

27/03/12

Woke up at 630am, laze around a bit before getting breakfast on the ground floor at 730am. :) prepared by two cute Vietnamese boys whom wants me to call them handsome. Lol.. It is baguette with omelette, splendid! We went out for a last min shopping managed to buy my North Face fleece and waterproof outer layer (no surprise it is orange in color). Packed KFC before going back to the hotel for a final washed up before departing for the airport. Our taxi pickup was early, however the ride to the airport took more than an hour as the traffic condition wasn't favorable. The flight is on schedule - (Jetstar is recommended unlike tiger) on the way back to Singapore. Landed in Singapore terminal 1 on time.

Lost in Laos 23rd Dec 2011 to 31st Dec 2011 with Tudi

Just for tracking..... Pardon me for the tenses as it was recorded just before I Knocked Out every night.

23rd Dec 2011 till LCCT

I finished work at 6pm and went home to do a last minute packing before departing for my night bus to KL at 10pm at Boon Lay Shopping Centre.

We arrived at KL at 4am the next day and took a cab from Chinatown to the LCCT. Believe it or not! There are also midnight charges for cabbies in KL. It costed us RM90.

24th Dec 2011

Arrived in Laos at local time 915am. Excellent landing from the airasia pilot. Good job for a budget airline. To our surprise there are Singaporeans on the same flight. The weirdest thing that occur to us is that out of the 3 money changer at the wattay airport only one takes SGD! Can you imagine? Totally disturbed! Both Tudi and I attempted to walk out of the tourist trap zone in hoping to catch a bus to town but there was none in sight. we walked till we hit the main road before a young tuk tuk driver approached us with a carrot price of 40000 Kip. We manage to reduce it to 30000kip need to brush up our bargaining skills.

Arrived at saysouly guesthouse and got a room on the second floor. The room is kind of rundown and small water flow but it is still acceptable. After lazing around for awhile we hit one of the restaurant for lunch. I had my fav bagelette. Yum yum! We visited most of the places of interests of vientaine within a couple of hours. Though the places of interests seemed to be far apart on the map but it ain't that far away in actual distance.

Grab a bite just before dinner.. Stoning and slacking now.

We went for an experience of traditional Laos massage before the traditional Lao Cuisine at Three Sisters! (Laos Noodles Soup - Similar to Pho Bo from Vietnam)

25th Dec 2011

Christmas in Laos!

Started the day with a little hipcup. Having sent to a wrong bus station northern bus station when we are traveling to vang vieng. Supposed to be the most happening city with the infuse drugs and party culture.
The bus trip was horrible up till now the bumpiest ride I ever had. Being right on top of the hind wheels elevated the effect. Suffocating and dizzy after sniffing in the dust coming through the manual doors.
We arrived at vang vieng bus station at local time 3pm. Our hotel is within walking distance from the station which saves us the tuk tuk transportation charges.
Food and transportation costs are really a killer in Laos as compared to the other indochine countries I visited over the last 2 years namely Vietnam and cambodia.

After dropping our luggages in the room, we headed out into town to check out for a half day tour that consists caving and tubing. Ran into a group of Singaporeans whom was on the same flight as us from KL to Vientaine.

This small town is flooded with similar retails shops and guesthouses. The party scene seemed diminished on a Christmas day as most of the pubs are empty. Other than some crazy tourists or maybe the intoxicated ones singing on tuk tuk, the christmas is peaceful in vang vieng.

We visited a night market or funfair, which is similar to the one portrayed in the Da Shi Jie movie. There is haunted house, bumper cars platform, small darts games stalls and an inflated playground, the non concrete floor and the once familiar scene in Singapore made me feel that i went back 30 years in time.

26th Dec 2011

Boxing day - left jab right cross

We are going to tube tube tube how about you you you?

Many came to vang vieng just to tube. Special thanks to our hotel Intera to specially arrange a half day trip of caving and cave tubing!

Met great companions like David from swiss and Bhil from France. We hit it off fast on a tuk tuk while it went around the small town of vang vieng to pick up the rest of the tubers.

We were split into two groups one the trekkers and the other kayakers. Tudi and I were under the trekking group with two others coincidentally there are from Singapore too! They turned out to be my kitten's colleagues. What a small world. We visited 4 caves. The two that left me with an impression are namely the elephant cave and the water cave where we have to tube through to visit.

Arrived back at our hotel at 145pm.. Having slightly more than an hour to wash up and laze around before our pickup at 3pm to luang prabang.

The ride took 7hrs inclusive of 2 munching stops along the way. This ride is way off better than the first one. It is a minibus.. Hopefully the ride back to vientaine will be just as great.

We arrived in luang prabang at 10pm, got ripped off by a tuk tuk driver. We agreed on 30000kip but he insisted on 40000kip when we alighted. We arrived at our guesthouse safely, dropped our luggages and geared up for the cold weather before checking the night market but most of the stalls are closed.

On the second day of Christmas my true love sent to me..... 2 turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree!

27th Dec 2011

Woke up without a concrete plan for today.. Intended to just wondering around the city of luang prabang. The weather was great in the morning simply cooling but still comfortable enough to walk around without a jacket. We walked past the post office and posted a postcard to each other's address in Singapore.

Drawn by the BBQ smell of chicken, we walked into a roadside stall for breakfast. Totally done with baguette. I ordered a local Lao porridge. Porridge is pronounced as chok, which sound like the mandarin way of pronouncing.

We went into several travel agencies to check for the best deal, however it seems like the tourism industry has been monopolized by the same company. We went back to book the tour to the Kuangsi waterfall from our guesthouse and departed in less than half an hour.

The journey to the waterfall took an hour and we were given 2 hours for lunch and exploring the waterfalls. The entrance fee is 20000kip. We met Nam, a friend from Thailand on the trip.

On our way back to luang prabang, we stopped over and visited the hmong minority village. The kids are reciting the following sentence "come buy anyone 5000.... Ok ok discount for you.... 2 for 5000" it reminded me of those kids in Cambodia who tried to exploit our sympathy.
We visited the TAEC and crashed in with a tour group whom had a guide to bring us the history of the ethnic groups. Headed to mount Phou si for sunset but it was too cloudy for viewing.
We went to the Dyne Sabai which is across the bamboo bridge. Seriously overrated, totally differed from the description on lonely planet. The prices were jerked up by double. Screw it.. I bet it is a paid for recommendation.
Went for a shopping spree at the night market before heading back to the hotel.

Tudi wants to wake up to watch monks lining up to receive aims for the bystanders at 6am. Possible? We shall see..

Good night!
Luang Prabang to Nong Khai Via Vientaine (28th Dec 2011 to 29th Dec 2011)

The second day in Luang Prabang was a relax one. We covered the remaining 2 wats and the royal palace before heading back to our hotel to pack before checking out at 5pm. No offence but I gave up taking off my high cut trekking shoes today and decide to stick to viewing from the outside. (Laos' beliefs - every time when you enter someone's home that includes tourism locations like Wats, you are supposed to remove your shoes)

After checking out we went to the night market for a last minute shopping just in case we missed out anything. We noticed that the mobile stalls actually have their designated location for setting up for the night market. The market starts to get active from 6pm onwards. As observed by Tudi, bargaining seems to be easier in luang prabang compared to vientaine. We bought shawls from a sincere young lady. Dinner was settled at a roadside stall in the night market which offered a buffet style at 10000kip per plate. I bet he will definitely make a loss if his customers are all Singaporeans as we are well trained by the stacking of salads at pizza hut.

We made it just in time to my guesthouse for our pick up to the bus station at 715pm. We were received by a minivan driver who came by specially to pick the two of us up. Thumbs up! Arrived at the bus station around 730pm and waited for the departure of our sleeping bus at 8pm. We met our friend Nam, whom we met on the Kuangsi waterfall trip yesterday who is also taking the same bus back to vientaine and to nong kuai and back to her home town.

The sleeping bus is slightly different from those that I have taken in Vietnam. This sleeping bus has both upper and lower decks with the size of a super single bed which is supposed to hold two persons. Luckily, Tudi and I were assigned to the same deck. If not I will be sleeping with a person whom I do not know. That will be awfully weird.

There was a couple of stops along the way to Vientiane the only one I alighted was the one for food. The journey was bumpy and uncomfortable. The duration of the ride took close to 12hours and arrived in vientaine northern bus station at 730pm took a tuk tuk over to the Talat Sao bus station for 20000kip.

We had breakfast at the Talat Sao bus station and went to the Talat Sao mall to spend some time before our bus to nong khai at 930am which cost 15000kip. We arrived at Nong khai bus station at 1030am and took a tuk tuk to our hotel for 50000k after displaying my poor bargaining skills in Thais.

We checked in and washed up before heading to the sala kaew ku a similar version of buddhas park in vientaine by the same artist. The tuktuk journey took about 30min (crawling speed) and costed 120 baht. The park is simply amazing! Worth visiting!

We visited a Tesco-lotus shopping complex and the thasadej market to continue with our shopping spree. The living standards in nong khai seems to be lower than vientaine which is kind of an irony as Thailand is the strongest country within the region.

We went for a massage at pp massage by poon. Excellent services for a low fee of 150baht. Headed for dinner which is similar to the Singaporean zhi chai cooked in the Thai style.

Back to the hotel.. Hotel sweet hotel...

30th Dec 2011

Back in Vientaine

We took the 930am nong khai to vientaine Thai-Laos bus and arrived at Talat Sao bus station at 1130am.

We went straight to our guesthouse saysouly in hope of not getting back the same room that we had the first day as the water in the room was screwed up. yeah, we got a different room this time.

After lazing for a little while, we left for le vendrome a French restaurant for the traditional French cuisine for just a fraction of the price paid in Singapore. On the way to the resturant, we ran into Poon and the boss of PP massage after parting in Nong Khai. At the resturant, we ordered a pizza consont, spagatis bolognaise and steak with wine sauce.

After lunch, we went to the Laos national museum which we missed on the first and found our gongs! There were 2 gongs that seems kind of lonely separated from the rest of the gongs at the plains of jars. Lonely lonely i am so lonely all on my own.. 2 Lonely gongs.

Back to the guesthouse to research on KL plan tml. Should we stay in LCCT to rot for 8hrs or proceed to chinatown via KL sentral. After doing the math, we decided to find a guesthouse in the Chinatown to drop our bags and wash-up before heading back to the airport tml evening.

Out for the night market, with intention to spend our remaining Kip but we can't seem to find anything worth buying. There are couple of clay painting shops as it was too early for dinner, we picked up a clay sculpture each and started painting. We spent close to 2 hours painting and waiting for the finishing coat to dry.

We went back to the restaurant where we had our first meal in vientaine for our dinner. Felt kind of ripped off for the BBQ chicken we ordered, it costed 35000kip for 4 pieces of chicken!

31st Dec 2011 (New Year's Eve)

Last highlight of the trip before leaving for the airport. We finally witnessed the standard "SOP" for the monks daily! Collecting offerings from the devotees at before the breaking of dawn.

After a 7 days of adventure in Laos, we are departing from the Wattay airport, vientaine, Laos for KL on airasia flight at local time 945hrs expected to arrive in LCCT, KL, Malaysia at 1330hrs GMT +8.
We were lucky to find the star shuttle transport direct from LCCT to Chinatown. It costed RM8 only compared to the taxi charge of RM 90,we took on the first day of our trip. It is very cheap! Cheap cheap cheap.. Quote from Dr Jia Jia. What is the national bird of singapore? Singapore tourist! Lol...

We arrived in Chinatown around 330pm managed to find a nearby guesthouse to drop our bags before seeking for our favorite roasted duck plus char skew rice at a roadside stall. I guess we were too used to the weather in vientaine, we are sweating profusely or should I should melting. We gave up walking through the stretch of stalls on jalan petaling and took a taxi to the bejaya time square. The taxi driver was a hardworking dude who is self learning English. He asked Tudi how to converse a Chinese sentence into English. He introduced himself as Alex and asked us to call me if we need a taxi in KL next time. Nice chap.

Berjaya time square was a shopping paradise for us the last time we were in KL. The aircon seemed to be down today the whole mall feels like a rice cooker. I managed to get a pair of slippers for rai but can't seemed to find one with an angry bird design that fits his rat legs. Picked up a couple of basic tops before boarding the bus back to LCCT.

The bus was half empty and the ride was smooth. We arrived at LCCT at around 845pm. No cold sweat!

The flight departed LCCT at 1030pm and arrived Singapore Changi Airport at 1130pm. Mr Rai and Amy came to fetch me and we went for supper at Bedok 88 market before heading home.

It is indeed an exciting and pleasant trip! It is once again proven that an excellent travel companion is necessary. Thanks Tudi!

Crazy Weekend

Last weekend was a real tiring one~

Last Friday, I went to the electronic fair at Expo via train, with intention to purchase a netbook but only limited sets are available. It is only available along with some limited coupon thingy. What a scam! The Organiser (AudioHouse) should have put the clause in the advertisement.Went to Gym for a work out before heading home for lunch (2/5). Supposed to have class with Caleb in the afternoon but it was postponed due to his school activities.

Saturday is a mugging day. I have Financial Statement lecture today. It is all about ACCOUNTING! I seriously need help on it. Lost! Luckily, our "Maid" is Accounting trained... got to scan and email her the notes.. haha! I went on for lunch then followed by a new chemistry class in the west coast area. It is kind of rush with all the transferring of trains and buses. I was only expecting 1 student but it turns out to be 2. I was a little taken a back as it has been awhile since I last taught a group class. Mr Rai, came to pick me up and send me to my next location, luckily it is in Clementi. It is also a new class - combined science(physics/chemistry) though, can't imagine that I can actually pulled through 3.5hours of Chemistry class. Lol! I guess it is certainly different when the position is switched. My new kid is making the cute little iron ons for her school's fund rising! It is all so cute.. I donated and asked her to make an Elmo one for me. After class, I went to meet Ah Ma and Tudi at Jurong Point for the last series of Harry Potter. Finally, there is an ending.

Sunday, trying our luck to purchase the netbook AGAIN. Rai and I arrived in expo at 8:45am and there is already a long queue. The coupon distribution started only half an hour before the fair starts at 11am. No Luck AGAIN! Some "professional" queuer = China Auntie, came up to me and intend to sell me that netbook voucher at $100!!! Totally insane. Siao! My full 5 hours tuition on sunday resumes.. I was so mentally tired after class. Went on for my 2nd Muay Thai lesson at Yew Tee, so happy! Coach praised me for my side kicks and hooks.. It is encouraging! Went for dinner with family before heading home.

Monday, I woke up only at 2pm with a headache, just in time for lunch and class. Guess I am just too tired..

Tuesday, woke up on time and starting mugging at 9am trying to make up for the time lost yesterday. Received an email from success resource - T Harv Eker (Millionaire Mind Intensive) is here again for 2011. I went for the only the 1st day of the entire 3 days seminar in 2009. Just something to take away - Being Comfortable is a kiss of failure; Be Ready to be Uncomfortable!

First Time Teaching Finance

My day started with a nice breakfast delivery from Cameli. She bought me Lontong - an Indian speciality, I don't remember eating it before but it is really nice though it is a little too heavy for breakfast. As usual.. she laugh at my "mountain turtleness" for eating Lontong the first time after 25 years of my life.

Cameli brought her AFP notes with questions on the investment segment, which is what I have covered in my Quantitative Methods so I am able to help her out on the calculations. AFP syllabus is quite brief compare to that of the CFA requirements. However, it is able to give your an introductory understanding to what is investment? My "Student - Cameli" has a really short attention span! That's bad! And, she is going to take her exam end of this month. No choice, I have to resort to treating her just like one of my students and demanded her to put her mobile phone away during class. Can't really understand why she can be so attached to her phone.. haha.. Despite all the distractions, I managed to clear up most if not all of her doubts and summarized the 3 chapters on investments in the AFP preparation course book.

In the evening, I received a whatsapp message from my "Student - Cameli" This is what she typed "Thanks for revising the notes w me, u made it so much simpler!...."  What could be better than receiving a message like that from your student, though it is "Student".

YX and I went for a kickboxing trial introductory class at active red situated in Far East Shopping Centre. Jason is a humorous and engaging instructor, he finetuned my kicking style from Muay Thai style to the Kickboxing way with the shin landing on the mits instead of the joint between my feet and shin and shared with me the difference between both martial arts. The protective gears differs slightly too, for Muay Thai we trained with Thai mitts which is lighter and smaller while for kickboxing we trained as the huge and round mitt which is kind of heavy. From an amatuer point of view, it seems like Kickboxing is focus more on using the shin instead of the joints attacks (i.e elbows) seen in Muay Thai. It's a indeed an experience! Time spent worthwhile..

Rescheduling for my study hours

I plotted 3 full hours for studying in the morning session but was unable to comply it as I wasn't discipline enough. Shame on me.. Changed to 10:30am to 1:00pm and 10:00pm to 11:30pm.

I have yet to succeed on waking up on time (7am) for Gym since the implementation of my daily schedule since 4th July 2011. I tried working out on the thing in the morning when I woke up on Monday but I was so tired after my first class, went back home to rest before the next class. There is a NO NO in a long run.

I have fine tuned my daily schedule to start at 8:30am daily as my day ends at 2am or beyond most of the time. Setting to wake up at 8:30am seems to be a more feasible goal than 7am. Let's try out and see if it works.

Done with the shifting and re-adjustment to my daily schedule. Yeah! with 11:30pm to 2:00am as OTOT time; as I am physically awake but mentally asleep. lol..

Busy Tuesday

The class started yesterday is fixed on every Monday, once a week instead of the initial agreed twice a week as my schedule is packed on Wednesday. Doris called to inform of a new assignment (an 'O' levels preparation class) starting this coming Saturday at 2pm in West Coast area. Hopefully my level 0 class on Financial Statements ends on time to allow adequate time for lunch and traveling.

Had 3 classes in a row from 2:30pm to 9:30pm. Finally managed to complete the Economics 2 lecture session via Stalla. I am still stuck at Quantitative Methods 2 for my personal notes. Lagging Lagging Lagging...

It's 12 midnight.. And I am still watching the latest HK drama series, doubt I can get to sleep on time again.

Tudi is back from Brunei

I started my day with a gym session at Jurong Sports Council. The usual strides, treadmills ….. Didn’t manage to start the day on time though. Need to fine tune my waking up time.

I started class at 3pm. Anabelle looks tired and she can’t seems to be able to concentrate during class thus the duration was reduced to 1.5hours.

At 6:30pm, I have new class at Burgundy Crescent, but due to the mis-com between the tuition coordinator and the client, it might be the first and the last lesson, as the agreed timing doesn’t match. Hopefully, everything turns out well.

Glad to have Tudi back in town, we have planned to watch Harry Potter 7 this coming Saturday at Jurong Point. We watched all 7 movies of Harry Potter together, something memorable =)
