C & O Want to Wish you a Happy Halloween

 

The way Chase says Halloween is just adorable, I can't get enough of it!  The first day he learned to say "Happy Halloween" he ran around the house saying it over and over and Jeff and I couldn't stop laughing. 

 

Owen also wishes you a "Happy Halloween!"

Owen started saying Trick or Treat before Happy Halloween and he said it over and over like Chase had done.  He would say Trick or Treat and expect some pretend candy to be put in his bucket!

Football at Iowa State

 We went to an Iowa State football game last Saturday with my parents. It was homecoming in Ames and the town was busy! We had a blast, of course.  It was so good to see Nana and Papa Anderson, it's actually been a couple months since we'd seen them.  I also got to see Lindzy and her family and my friend Raneen and her family.  The kids had a blast playing together and running all over the tailgate.  We sat with my parents for half of the game.  Chase and Owen did very well, although they wanted to go between Nana and Papa and Jeff and I over and over.  They ate a lot of fun game food.  We stayed at the Memorial Union, which is on campus.  It's always fun to be close to the action and the campus is just beautiful this time of year.  I always feel that tug of nostalgia when at Iowa State.  Can it really be over 15 years since I started there as a freshman?

Pumpkin Patch 2011

We took our annual trip to Deardorff's Orchard in Waconia.  We had a beautiful day, as usual.  The sun was out, it was a bit crisp and it was wonderful to be outside.  We took some family pictures, looked at the animals, played with the pumpkins, sampled apples (the boys about ate them out of house and home), went on a hay ride, picked apples and had fun as a family.  I just love our tradition of going to Deardorff.
