When Owen is done throwing a fit, like tonight when I shut off the TV, he will smile really big, with his sweetest, most excited voice and say, "This appy". Which means, hey look now I'm happy". It is so cute and makes me so happy for him.
So tonight I shut off the TV which lead to screaming and crying. Daddy, knowing how to solve a good cry, yells, "Look what i have!" The boys pop up, silence themselves and run toward the chocolate Easter egg holding daddy. Literally 20 seconds after Owen was screaming he is yelling, "This appy!" And the crying is all done. Yeah daddy.
Chase said house, head, Anna, monkey. Owen followed suit. They are learning more and more words daily, which is something I've waited a long time for. It's a lot of fun to see their confidence grow.

He's My Best Friend
Seriously, can these pictures be any cuter?!! Wow, my loves are just adorable (if I do say so myself). I took these pictures before church last week. I had them put their arms around each other and they thought it was the funniest thing ever. They do love each other and are for sure best friends.
For those of you who think they look identical-do you still think so?

This Boy Melts My Heart
This was Owen's Florida photo shoot. It went much better than last year. He gave me some very sweet smiles and some very crazy, almost painful looking smiles. I love this little baby to pieces!

Florida Continued
This might go down as the longest post of all time! Hang in there!
Wednesday night went to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack. It was the perfect location for our little trouble makers. They were able to look out at the water, watch planes fly over us and they even had a playground right at the restaurant with geckos and a big fence!
Jeff and ChaseMommy and Owen with his huge lemonade
What do you think Jeff had for dinner?
How hot is Owen? He's getting ready to go down the slide.
Chase heads down the slide too-appearing a bit warm.
The boys had the best time piling up on each other as they slid down the slide.
When we got home it was time for a dip in the pool in our undies. The boys loved the freedom of being able to walk in and out of the pool using the stairs and rail. They did this over and over and over.

Thursday
Nana walks with Chase in the ocean.
Daddy talks to Owen about what he found while digging in the sand.
Chase had a blast hunting for shells. He wouldn't let me hold them for him at first. He had to hold each one in his hands and they kept falling out. Finally he trusted me enough to hold them for him. Here he is showing me his treasures. When I was pregnant with the boys Jeff and I walked the beach and picked up shells as we thought of names for the babies. When we were engaged it was on a beach as we looked for shells, so shell hunting is a special thing for us.
Owen pauses to look at me

I got to spend some time digging in the sand with the boys. I love to do that! I'm not sure what is going on in this picture. I wonder if I'm trying to convince Chase to let me hold his shells.
More shell searching. You can see his little mitts holding tightly to the shells.
So happy!
For some reason we did not bring buckets or shovels to the beach so my children dug with their fingers. They loved it!
I just love this series of pictures. It totally tells about Owen, his inquisitiveness, his independence.

He stares off looking for something new.
Owen found something exciting!
Look at Chase's little butt crack! Too funny.
Chase's little footprints in the sand, just love it!
There goes Chase on a walk down the beach.
My footprint next to Chase's-both pretty flat feet! :)
Run like the wind!
Owen is a little hesitant about letting the water touch his toesOwen and Chase are burying Papa's toes and are looking to see if it's ok.
I love this shot of the boys-together, on the beach, so close they are touching, both planted with their left feet.
Don't you think this would be a great Christmas picture?! ha ha. I can't remember why Chase looks like he was submerged in the water-was he sweaty?
Owen had lots of fun cuddling with Papa in his chair.
Nana and Chase exchange a glance.
On Thursday afternoon we got to go to the Player's Club, where they have a magnificent pool, sand area and place for small children to play. This is the kids area.
This is 1/3 of the big pool. Missing is the zero entry area and the large waterfall. The boys, Jeff and I were in the pool for over an hour. Owen walked around the ledge of the entire pool and we all had a blast.
Chase walks under the water spouts in the kiddy pool area.
Chase and Owen got to go in the flight deck with the pilots on our flight home. They were really really wanting to push all those buttons!
Overall we had a great trip to Florida to visit Jeff's parents. Jeff and I got to have 2 meals out together at great places. Stoney's was delicious and we walked along the water after ward and did a little shopping. We went to Pazzo, which is probably the best Italian I've had in a very long time and sat just outside the restaurant on the sidewalk, which was wonderful. We went to a movie that night too and had fun being out with each other. Jeff met up with a high school friend of his for lunch while I did some shopping on 5th Ave. We went to the friend's house and hung out with his family. The boys had a blast being wild and crazy with their kids and were tired when we left. We were sad to leave FL on Friday but knew we would see Nana and Papa in just 10 short days!
