Preparation

As I prepare for the 2nd birthday of my little loves I'm overcome with joy and love for these two very special little ones.  I can not imagine my life without the giggles of Chase, the deep chuckles of Owen, the sweet yell for "MA", the chases throughout the house, the kind looks into my eyes, and the list goes on.  I cherish each moment with them, I really do.  I love to come home and see their little smiles as they see me.  What joy they have brought to my life.  I can not believe a whole 2 years has gone by and can not believe the growth.  What a blessing and thanks be to God for His work in our lives.

Two years ago tomorrow I was on my way to the hospital with Bell's Palsy-or as Jeff calls it, my face was falling off.  It was my Mom's birthday and we were so excited to think the babies could be born on her special day.  What anticipation and what a great and special day to remember that event 2 years ago.  Boy I've grown as a Mom and person.

I don't care how I look, the funny faces I make or the snot, dried food, etc. that is crusted on me, for I know I am loved by my children, my husband and my Lord.  I am not perfect, my house is not perfect, I'm not all put together, but I have fun, I experience life, I provide unique experiences for my children to learn and grow and I love it!

Almost 2 years ago!

 

This is a picture my mom took of me sleeping by the boys during the first few weeks of their lives.  They had been up all morning and I just slept right by them so I could put their pacies in when they fell out and then I could go back to sleep.  I was so pooped. I can't believe how hard those times were.  I didn't know it at the time, but after 2 years of reflection, boy was it hard!  I was pooped.

A New Table

We bought a new little table just for the boys. I've been wanting one for a while.  They love it! They love to sit there and tinker with their toys.

Father's Day 2010

Father's Day weekend was a lot of fun! We went boating on Lake Waconia with the entire Berger family.  It was a lot of fun playing with cousins and family.  Chase and Owen had fun looking over the edge of the boat with Sophia.  After boating we went to the Waconia band festival.  It was great!  Marching bands played in a parade and the boys had a blast pointing to each band as it came down the hill and pointing as it went by.  Sunday the family came to our house for lunch and again we had a fun time in the sun.

Home on the Range Part 2

On our trip to my parents' we took the boys to the bridge to throw rocks into the water.  We had a tight hold on them so they wouldn't go in with the rocks.  They sure had fun and did not want to go home.  

The boys got to see a lot of cows.  They liked looking at them and wanted to see them often, but they were also scared of them.  They were most scared when the cows bellered loudly.
