Enchanting Pixie

We have our first challenge over on the Charmed Delectable blog, why not pop over and take a look :-)
On the Delectable blog I also posted a new card I have just made using the Enchanting Pixie stamp. This is a larger than usual card, these days I tend to do the standard 6x6 size card.

Here are most of the products I used:
Enchanting Pixie stamp coloured with Copic markers
Fancy Pants Daily Grind papers and chipboard
White K&Co flowers (layered accents)
Imaginisce Blossoming Romance Rub-ons
Edge punched with a Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch
Edges distressed with Tim Holtz paper distresser

Thanks for popping by x

ATC Swap at Charmed Craft Talk

Petra is hosted another ATC on the Charmed Craft Talk forum, this time she chose the theme "home". The swaps are open to all active members so why not pop over and take a look :-)

I joined this month and created my three swaps. I haven't got a lot of experience with ATC's, this is my fourth attempt, but I do find them fun as absolutely anything goes.

Products used:
The background paper on all three cards is leftover bits of paper that I crumbled and distressed and then inked all over the surface.
Houses are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses chipboard
The blue edging/frame is Flower Soft
various other embellishments to complete

Tfl. Have a great evening xx

Dreamer Card and New Products

This is one of my favourite images from the Charmed Delectable Stamps/Digi stamps (yep it's available as a stamp now too, HERE).

I added glitter dust and glossy accents as can be seen in the picture below where I used flash:

This is what I used on my card, which is size 6"x6" (everything is available at Charmed Cards & Crafts):
Sentiment and stamp from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Stamp has been coloured with Copic markers as has the bouquet of flowers.
Fancy Pants "The Daily Grind" background paper (from the paper pad)
Pink Basic Grey paper edged with a Martha Stewart punch and decorated with segments from a large Prima Swirl
Pink Paper Cord
Pearls are painted with Copic markers to match the colours
Maya Road Chipboard flower
Marion & Me Girl Charm hanging from the paper cord.

Terrible lighting today so you'll have to excuse the quality of the pictures. We have to get used to that now winter is approaching (blimming freezing too here in London today).

Have you visited the shop lately? We have had a huge load of new products in store, just check out the "What's New" page to see everything. Lots more coming too, including:

Basic Grey Nook & Pantry
Bo Bunny Love Bandit
Bo Bunny Persuasion
Bo Bunny Snowy Serenade
Fancy Pants Rough Tough
Fancy Pants Christmas Magic
Fancy Pants Little Sprouts
Fancy Pants Dancing Girl
Imaginisce Let's Roll
Imaginisce Perfectly Posh
We R Memory Keepers - Say What Tablets
More Martha Stewart punches
K & Company Evergreen

That should all be with us by the end of this month.

Thanks for popping by :-)

Hello!

Crikey it's been a while since I posted to the blog! I haven't been crafting much, the only things I have done is put together a CJ for the Charmed circle and make up a couple of classes. I don't know why I left creating my CJ until the last minute (but I did) but it didn't turn out too bad in the end. Here are some pictures:

My theme for this CJ was "Do You Believe?" I used a 7Gypsies naked book which I actually coloured with Copic markers before decorating.

Welcome and rules pages. Again I coloured the pages with a green Copic marker before decorating:

My own double layout into my journal.

I did my journalling here on one of the large gorgeous Take Note's from the Basic Grey Lemonade collection. These are a new addition to their ranges, and a very welcome one! Chipboard is Fancy Pants Daily Grind (Available at Charmed Cards & Crafts).

I found this gorgeous picture of an angel on the Internet and crackle glazed over it. Click on the picture to see detail. My whole layout is quite ethereal and the distressed triple frame I created with a gold metallic marker on white bazzill add to that feel. I made a smaler frame like that to mat the sentiment I created on the first page of this layout.

Finally my sign-in page.

Lets end with a bit of music. Have you been watching the new XFactor auditions? There have been some crackers amongst the soggy crisps but this one is my absolute favourite:

This guy can sing!!
I mentioned a couple of classes I made for the site and here they are.

Candy Winner....

I've tried to draw the winner a couple of times but each time my counting led either to someone not actually linking to anything but just making a comment, or once someone who had entered three times. I had to go away and come back to it with a fresh brain and the counting was doing my head in! Next time I MUST use Mr Linky to automatically add the numbers!

I drew the number randomly at random.org, we also had some emailed entries so the number range was expanded to fit those. Here is the result:

That's ANJIE

Congratulations Anjie, please email through your full name and address details and Graphics Direct will send you your box of 72 Copic markers - WOOHOO!!!

Commiserations to all who didn't win. Don't despair please, there will be more opportunities in the future. Thanks to all who entered xx

Another Blog Candy with a Twist....

Remember when we offered you the Copic 72 pen set? What a blog candy that was, right!! Well we're only doing it again!! 72 pens, YES 72. Want them?

Charmed Cards & Crafts have yet again teamed up with Graphics Direct Ltd to bring you this fantastic prize. Graphics Direct Ltd are probably the cheapest place to get your Copics' in the UK, and with outstanding customer service to boot. Although we sell several markers, such as Le Plume, we highly recommend Graphics Direct Ltd for THE place to get your Copics'.
The twist is that we want you to link to a project on your blog (in your comment) that either uses a download or a stamped image that you coloured in.
  • Link to a card you made with a download or a stamped image (does NOT have to be one of ours).
  • If you are using one of the Charmed Cards & Crafts downloads or Delectable stamps then you get two chances (please enter two comments, in the second just write "my second chance). All entries will be checked.
  • Link to the candy on your blog.

Please note that if you leave more than the allowed amount of comments then you will not be eligible for entry.

This will run until 9th August. This post will stay on top until then. The final draw will be entirely random.

GOOD LUCK!! x
UPDATE 10/8/09: This is now closed, I will announce the winner soon...

School's Out For Summer

Tomorrow is the last day at school for most of the children, at least here in London. DD2 has not been at school all this week as she has been very poorly but we are hoping she might be able to go tomorrow as it's a very short day. Because I didn't expect her to be able to go I hadn't made a card so it was panic stations this evening as you can imagine. It's been so long since I did any crafting I found it quite tough to get going!

The girl is meant to look like my dd but she ended up a little older looking. I also made her dark haired as I thought it would look nicer with the colours I chose, so it's dd2 with a wig on LOL

Image: My own drawing coloured with Copic markers. For some reason a had a few smears this time, don't know why.
Papers and elements: Basic Grey Lemonade
Pencil and numbers are some I used to sell but haven't got anymore (useful I know)
Pearls are K&Co.

Thanks for looking ♥

Oh, don't forget to enter the Copic candy! Not many entries this time, last time we had about 800! These are FREE Copic markers! Worth about £160! ;-)

Dreamer and Fox/Pee Update

Hi all, hope you are enjoying your Sunday! We are basking in glorious Sunday here in old London town, which is great at this time of year, but not when it gets to August. The heat then becomes oppressive and all you hear is people moaning how awful it is (OK that'll be me). I grew up in totally ideal surroundings. I am from a town called Struer in Denmark and we are surrounded by forests, a beautiful lake, and several coastlines offering the most perfect beaches. I used to walk to the beach one way, into the forest the other way, and have a huge beautiful lake in front of us. It is only now I truly appreciate how lucky I was.

Anyway, let me give you a quick update on my recent foxy post. IT WORKED! 100% success, and we haven't had to reestablish our marks. So this is a method I can truly recommend! Yeah!!

Have a look at this:

Isn't she DIVINE??? This is Dreamer from our new Pixie collection (available soon). I love love love love LOVE her!!

I tried colouring the hair differently this time, using blue instead of grey (as most people do). My reasoning for this is that very dark hair often shows blue when light hits it; I think it looks very effective and I'm really pleased with it.

Products used here:
Images: Dreamer from the soon to be released Pixie collection - only available at Charmed Cards & Crafts. Sentiments also from that collection.
Papers: Basic Grey Porcelain. AC Plain cardstock.
Embellishments: The chipboard rose flourish is K&Co Madeline. Circles behind the main picture are K&Co Sea Glass. Pearls are K&Co Blue Awning, I coloured every other pearl with a Copic marker. Black and cream lace is Llewelyn-Bowen Fabric Strips. Wings are decorated with Stickles Crystal.
Colouring:The background of Dreamer, the sentiments background, and indeed Dreamer herself, were all coloured with Copic marker pens. I also used Distress Inks on the Dreamer background.

I hope you like this wonderful new addition to the Charmed family :-)

Come back later when I will announce the winner of my little blog stash.

Have a lovely day ♥
