it's been ONE THOUSAND YEARS since i blogged.
so sorry about it.. will TRY to blog more!

things been fine..ups and downs from my research work..
but overall still ok..haha it's only my first honeymoon yr!

school holidays just over..sadly i din get to have any hols since i'm a phd student.
however, i did manage to go to a few places around sydney.
i love driving around! (obviously most of the time i'm not the driver)
this is the part whereby i loove aussie!
jus simply rent a car and off we go on a roadtrip!!

it's been a month since i last blogged.
somehow i feel that time flies when i'm here.
or rather..they jus disappeared without me knowing.
kinda weird.
or perhaps the 9-5 routine work is catalysing my time spent here.

things been going well for me :)
just that school work starts to pile up and juggling all those work with my research seems to be like an endless task for me.

since i'm a yr 1 phd student, i should be enjoying time of my life and it's supposed to be my honeymoon year. sadly, i don't really feel that way.
perhaps i have very high expectations on myself, and i don't want to ever disappoint myself and all those who believed in me.

i really hate the come-and-go feeling.
me and my frens were just talking about this.
apparently i will be the only one left to say gd bye to all of them when they graduate. felt quite shit about it :(

Finally it's friday!
We went for our first KTV session in sydney!
it was pretty ex..but we all had fun!!

Before KTV, we had yummy korean dinner!
Tried the soju for the first time and i din realli like it..
The hotpot we had was superb!! spicy and yummyy!
i'm so gg back for the bbq!

i'm really happy that we went ktv...the feeling is like so familiar..somehow i felt as if i'm back in singapore..wonder when will be our next ktv session?? needa save up for all the entertainment!!



next up...we decided to go max brenner for some drinks and supper.
my first time to chocolate cafe here in sydney
totally went crazy with the chocolate there!
we had fondue, chocolate pizza and each of us ordered a chocolate drink.

official lessons have started and i'm still trying to get used to the system here.
actually more or less the same..just that tutorials are conducted by PhD student instead of profs and they dun go thru every single qns like in singapore. Overall, everything still fine =) And i really thankful that the people in my research grp are realli nice ppl..makes it easier to get along with them :)

the next thing i must mention will be the HUGE amount of ah tiongs here.
SERIOUSLY, they are EVERYWHERE! i thought ntu was bad enuff..it's not the worst until i went for my solar first lecture..i'm practically surrounded by them! they even have the chinese version textbook on the first lecture! and i know i'm evil..but they smell the same universally..no matter in shanghai or in singapore or in sydney..so i come to conclude that...they really nv bathe! that's why they got this "unique" smell like everywhere! shall stop being so evil =XX

So happy that simon got married last sunday!
so sad that i couldn't attend their wedding =(
now i'm preparing myself that i will miss all these occasions when i'm here..
so whoever who's getting married..can u guys do it lik in the end of yr period? so that i can come back and attend..hahahas. wonder who's the next one?

i've been spending alot of money on shopping! aRgH..
i love the fashion here! and the clothes here are realli much nicer than those in singapore! me and my frens are trying to recuperate from our loss before we can start to go shopping again! so i shall suggest a beach outing on weekends so that we won't go city and shop AGAIN.

Things been gd for me here in sydney!

I've more or less settled down...just that official lessons not started yet.
But cause i'm a research student..i needa to be in the postgrad office lik everyday to work on my research and to know the people here :)

before i came over here, i was afraid of losing touch with people and friends back in Singapore. Now that i'm already here, i felt really different about that. It seems that i talked to my frens more on msn..like i feel lik i muz make more effort to keep in touch..as compared when i'm in singapore and take everything for granted. Thankful for that =)
