What can i do

New year is ard the corner, and i still have not found it. Besides not knowing where to find, another contributing factor is due to my "sianz-ness". Rrrrr~

Today's office environment is damn quiet as compared to last week. Besides FTs heading back to their hometown for new year, my neighbour (my senior) has also left the organisation. He left a bag of mandarin orange for me, ha! thanks! the team w/o him is really rather different. Not mentioning his fun and jokes that he brought to the environment, he is also a smart guy with high capability. Some of my project team mates also took leave or off today. the whole project team left with a few of us niah~ machiam like end of the world coming and the rest kannah "eaten" up by zombies.

I also felt like i have rot for the whole day. reading nothing but just documentation. is it a good or bad thing. get paid to do nothing like that. =X dunno what my life gonna be like after new year. oh! heard the other new guy is coming in soon during next week. Hmmmm~ it gonna become something like "Shaolin showdown" hahaha. either one of us will work (errr.... ok shall address the project as Project ABC) on ABC and the other will work on EFG. if i'm working on EFG, most prob i may need to shift my office space again. and the bad news is, i gonna meet new ppl and make new friends again. and the most sian part is i will only be have "fresher" air after july (due date of EFG) instead of after may (due date of ABC).

hai~ what can i do. it all depend on my luck and fate liao~ damn! it rain again!!! about the weather, i really cant do anything but to SLEEP!

wow wow wet

Though having a cooling weather is not bad after all, but raining non stop like our recent weather is terrible! It is so cold and wet that I nearly got killed by umbrellas a few times. It is so fortunate of me to be alive typing this blog entry.

Anyway, besides the rain that is pretty terrible, I'm also disgusted by the fact that spme retail shops are selling over price item! 19.90 to 20+++ for some plain looking caps, 80 over dollars for a shirt, what is this? They are way pricey than taka "diamond" jewelries lol. Ok I'm exaggerating. Oh! And I'm also very annoyed by the crowds, de issue of products gone out of stock within "hours", and copy lai copy qu! Yucks!

This noon, I was "forced" to get out of bed. This is such a gd weather to charge battery lor! Aiya, no choice, need to go pray to ancestors. Becoz there are no any other available and free slots to go and ask for "bo bee" from them liao. On the way, I gotta to see a guy which look like two of my friends, and a person whom I know. This guy de eyes and eye brow look like "karu", the mouth and nose look like "romie" and the height n body size look like "kheng". Hahaha!!!! Is like jigsaw puzzle. I pay attention to this person becoz his expression damn funny! It happend in the train. He was looking at the outside view, with mouth abit opened den eyes just starred blank at the window. Is totally stone!

By the way, bedok de market have some deco being put up for cny. Their decos is very eerie. I'm speaking the truth. Imagine urself taking ur meal in the market, but when you tilt ur head to see what was on top. U see big head doll doll sitting on top looking down at u!

When Chicken & Peacock meet

Another round of meeting today. thought it should be over within 2 hours. BUT Seriously NOOOO!! it is so damn longgggg till i feel like sleeping, project manager suddenly came in and our meeting sort of stop because he gotta discuss some urgent matters with the senior who is giving presentation. in the end, the meeting continued after the lunch den all the way till knock-off time liao and we still cant finish everything. haiyo~ just talking about enhancement of the website niah leh, and it took so many hours. can you imagine how tedious it is going to get when you need to develop the whole damn thing out, and preparing of all the documentation stuffs. i can start to sense and feel the "seriousness" of my job. this is no kiddin, especially when dealing with fussy clients.

anyway, after knock off, i did not head home from my usual route. i went the round about way instead, just to go to the bank to settle some personal stuffs. Therfore, i finally get to take public transport with plenty of passengers squeezing in the bus. Thanks to it, i get to see something very funny about some commuters again (i'm very observant when comes to taking public transport hahahaha!) there are two main role in this "story" which am about to tell - one cheena woman, who sat at the front; and an in-dee-urn man, who sat behind her. Out of sudden, that cheena woman suddenly turn her view and face the in-dee-urn man. She then start to draw circles in the air. This in-dee-urn man, who initially looking at toto slips, shift his focus to the cheena woman instead. After "seeing" the circles in the air, he started to do the in-dee-urn head shake, and also start to draw circles. This is damn funny! i totally dont understand what both of them are trying to do or what message are they going to convey from the circles. And seriously, both of them are not even having any verbal communication at all lor. i think because both are different nationality, and they cant find a common language to communicate ba? the only way is thru "drawing"? hahahaha. anyway, when the bus stopped at the next bus stop.... both of them started to stand up and head for the exit. Hmmmm....so drawing of circles mean alighting at the next bus stop? Maybe?~ but what i find wierd is that - what relationship do they have with one another? they cant even communicate properly liao lor. =\

Haru Haru

Hmmm... Spent first half of the day familiarise with some development software; and later part of the day.... meeting! The meeting is arranged because a senior is leaving us soon, therefore he needs to hand over his job to "us" and also transfer his responsibility to another senior team member. And... most likely i will be in that project too. (actually i dunno which project i will be involve in. HA! becoz the project manager is handling 3 projects, and he is my reporting officer, so i should be involve in two of the project also.... this is what i call - share resources).

Anyway, this meeting is about the development of some application, using some programming language and software that I have learned before. finally i see some light and glimpse of hope!!! This is because I have been learning alien things for the past few days, and i don't even know what the whole user guide is talking about!!! It doesn't even relate well to what we are using, and it does not address to some of my questions. I'm just so blur and sibey chi cham~ i gonna kill that whoever guy who have suggested the use of this technology!

Anyway, some parts of the song, which have been repeating continuously on my mp3 player, somehow relates to how my recent life....

"... Ma boo~ Ma boo~ nan tto shi duroga (I'm withering away)
Haru~ Haru~ (Day after day) Botil su oppso (I can't endure it) Breakdown! ... "

anyway, tomorrow gonna have another meeting again. ::>_<:: Ma Boo!!!! aiya, forget it, at least i dun need to present anything, just listen niah~ so is still alright. HAHA! (force myself to look on the brighter side of life)

doing nothing

Hai~ basically done nothing on my first day of work. Really nothing!

Think everything doesnt turn out that well this whole morning. The HR coordinating rep is on MC, therefore another person took over her role instead. a very short briefing were given, den wait............ den a small handful of us (actully 3 of us only, all in different team somemore. =\ ) den proceed to a room to make staff pass......... den wait again............ den a lady brought us to another room to collect our assets (laptop)............ den wait again............... den meeting room kannah used by some technician, den room kannah booked by another project team...... no choice wait again.................. den finally found a room to conduct the orientation briefing, but manager went MIA. den wait again................ by the time the whole thing end is already 12 plus.... and the whole morning just wasted like that. Till that time, i still have no idea where will i be stationed at. hai~ a feeling of sooooooo lost. anyway while we are waiting for the briefing to be conducted by some manager. 3 of us just stood quiet, no one wanna start the conversation. i was thinking "erm......... should i start the conversation...... erm the youngest there eh...... eh why no one talking..............." In the end, i just start the ball rolling LOL. after the conversation, i den know one is actually indian national, and the other is a filipino. the filipino says my english is very fluent, doesn't sounds like what a singaporean sounds (with leh lah lor le). Ha! ok~ that good lah huh? anyway, the 2 of them are very experienced in this field. they have been working in different countries before. i was like.... WOW~ i felt like i'm some ikan bilis there.

............ ................... (lazy to type) .............. .........

oh~ by the time i actually reach my actual site. it is already 2plus pm..... so...... 6hours just passed without doing anything. feel so damn paiseh when i first step into my cubicle. everyone is busy, i dun even know who is my real project team mates actually. maybe to them i was MIA like 6 hours. Not my fault lor, HR side cock up eh~ hai~ hope i dont give them a bad impression on my first day of work.

anyway, after i reached that location, had another short briefing with the project lead. Gosh! i was like HUH?! HUH?! HUH?! from feb onwards till ard july will be a super duper busy period for me (if i'm still working there hahahahaha). this is the so call critical period. Maybe i may even have to defer my reservist too =| hai~ think i should really just go see some specialist and apply for down pes. AND guess what? i applied for the role of *********** consult**t (JAVA/J2EE). but! in the end this is a .NET project. HAIYO! i have knowledge on both of these languages, but i'm still more familiar with JAVA, and i did pointed out that during the interview. seriously, dun even know what interview session is for liao. aiyer. guess what? during my internship with this company the same thing also happen leh! is this a fate or what? anyway, previously i mentioned that i may be working in goong right? Yohohoho! no nono~ i am working somewhere near home. can sleep till Gao Gao (enough enough).

Hope things will turn out better tomorrow. Bless me ah

"butterfly" again

I thought I can just "kan kai" a bit, and not to feel nervous for this kind of situation. Rrrrr! But think i cant eh. Gosh~ butterflies start to develop in my stomach on this very night, before the whole thing gonna start soon in just a few hours time. Not knowing which is my official workplace, I have got no idea what kind of people (be it colleagues, bosses, blaa blaa) i gonna meet, no idea of how things gonna turn out, no idea of how the working environment is like, no idea what is the working style, no idea of this and no idea of that.... Haiyer~ After so many times of "first day at work", why do i still like some freshies w/o any working experience at all.

Because of this weird feeling, I have already gather and pack any "tools and equipments" that may be necessary on my first day of work, getting ready the clothes that i'm wearing, reading of some accademic materials that may be needed.... But i'm still feeling so insecure~

I seriously need this song!!!! johun sarang~ nonun neage cho sarang~

P.S: The first day at work will also be the hardest =\

the moment of truth

I always said i wouldn't wanna live a long life, most probably live till the age of 50? Today, i know what may be the reasons that can contribute to my "wish".HA!

I was out to look for rubbing alcohol just now. But since i'm already out, i feel i might as well just go for a medical examination that is required for the employment. Guess what? after pressing my abdominal for a while, the doctor told me this...

doc: "have you ever been told that you have enlarged liver?"
me: "err..... no."
me: "is it due to some kind of illness?"
doc: "we cant be sure what is the cause of it, therefore I cant actually give you any info"
me: so what do i need to do about this enlarged liver issue?
doc: we recommend you to go for a scan.... well, ours are around 90+ dollars, so is rather expensive. You may also visit any of the polyclinics to get it done? it may be much more cheaper...........................

after googling it....enlarged liver may not be a joke eh~ The info stated below are what i have found.

About Enlarged Liver
"Enlarged liver is often referred to as hepatomegaly. It is not a disease in itself. Rather, it is a probable symptom of some health conditions like cancer, congestive heart or hepatitis. Usually, enlarged liver does not show any symptoms, mainly because liver does not have any nerves. In cases when the liver becomes excessively large, pain is experienced when the abdomen is touched. Some discomfort arises when the liver puts pressure on the surrounding organs and nerves due to enlargement."

Causes of enlarged liver
"... causes of enlarged liver are viral infection like hepatitis A, hepatitis B or hepatitis C, iron deposition in liver, heavy consumption of alcohol. Serious ailments like diabetes, tuberculosis, liver cancer, congestive heart failure or leukemia can be some other causes of enlarged liver. Inadequate diet and side effects of some drugs are other factors that can lead to enlarged liver...... People who consume excessive alcohol for a prolonged duration are at the highest risk of developing enlarged liver. Other risk factors are abnormally high level of cholesterol, excessive weight gain and uncontrolled sugar levels. Even sharing needles or injecting or snorting of narcotic drugs may give rise to enlarged liver."

Well, for this period, think i cannot consume any alcoholic drinks liao. (but i also didn't drink alot leh) Maybe till i have gone for a thorough checkup, or when liver finally revert back to the original state? else, i shouldn't touch them. =/

i wonder is vomiting actually a sign to it?

my progress

Monday

went for an interview session, located just opposite of maxwell food centre, woot~ well, it is a SME and i kinnah fond of the working environment. The company is located in one of the shophouses, and it sort of look like a design studio. But too bad! they are looking for someone with C# background. well, the programming language syntax is somehow like JAVA. But, i dun dare to take up the job offer. Firstly, C# is not my forte, and.... the company only consist of about 5 employees... so, the responsibility and burden will be kind of high, if i was to take up the offer. Moreover, the pay they are willing to give... is not what i have actually expected. Abit low eh~

Later part of the day is about meeting of usual cliques and also the $8 K session. well.... hmmm... nth much to say. "Yao Jiang De, Ye Yi Jin Jiang Le" LOL!

Tuesday
Recruitment agent called me up and asked if i'm interested in another job offer. After hearing the name of the company, hmmmmm give it a try lor, since they are the leading company in this sector. later part of the day? K Session again. hahaha the $6 package. think i cant enjoy much of this package once i started work. =(

Wednesday
Initially, planning on suntanning, just like what he said... Keep on Looping~ Looping~ Looping~ we seems like cant get to the actual location that we wanna go.by the time we looped for the third time, the weather already changed to GLOOMY! instead of heading for the pool, we went for a shopping trip. The most Jing Dian part of the shopping trip. Some shop attendant commented me "mafan~". Seriously, feel like stuffing the shoes into her mouth. what happened was...

momo: Hmmm....i shall take 42. can you help me change it to another pair? becoz this pair seems abit dirty because of the glue. *pointed the glue part to her*
miss A: orh ok. *went to the back of the shop to look for another pair*
miss B: *was initially consuming her damn food* Why? what happened?
miss A: oh~ customer want to change it to another pair, because it is dirty
miss B: MAFAN~

I am there all along lor. WAH LAU! u wanna say mafan, can u at least be more discreet? after she said mafan, i stared at her. She sort of feel paiseh knowing that i may have overheard their conversation, she then turn to another side, dun dare to face me.

After the trip, we got stuck in bugis street due to heavy rain..........................
................. ................... ..................... .................... ..................... ................... anyway, i noticed i can't even say some simple words when needed to. CHam liao! bring cells really start to stop growing le~ hai~ but god of fortune is with me can le~ LOL!

Thursday
Knowing that sun tanning may be impossible, so scheduled for a job interview in the afternoon. But.... weather is good that day lor! but i'm not free. what a prank! anyway the interview session requires interview to complete a skill test as well. Hor! i'm not even fully prepared for it. =.= stayed up late to revise a while, but seriously squeezing 2 yrs of programming studies in one night is seriously crazy! hahaha. i'm not some chocolate people~ whu have "photocopy machine" memory. something funny things do happened on that interview session. but not me!

mr interviewee: this questions are all related to .NET (another programming language)
interviewer/coordinator: yes. i believe you are applying for developer of this programming language?
mr interviewee: erm... i did learn this language before. but i think there is a mistake here, i did told my job agency that my strength is in JAVA and not .NET
coordinator: hmmm...wel, since u learnt it before, maybe you wanna give it a try?
mr interviewee: errr.... but my knowledge of it is not very in depth, and it had been years that i have touched in this language.
coordinator: actually, no one passes the test. so... i encourage it to give it a try. we usually don't hire people just base on the skill test, the interview do plays a part as well.
mr interview: Erm.... if u dun mind, den i shall give it a try

Wah! no one pass the test anyway..... den why still implement the test?HAHA!
anyway, night time sort of got a strange encounter. during de very late night. my shoulder suddenly felt some pain. and the room suddenly got very cold, and my body started to develop goosebump. eeeeee~ dunno is it xiao ming de friend passed by lor. Ah Mi Tuo Fo!

Friday,
Expecting a registered article to be send to my unit. But! haiyo, to no avail in the end i went down personally to get it lor. Anyway before going down, i went to the company to sign the contract. Hmmmm..... fast ah? the hiring manager initially still said will let me know again next week. is not even 24hrs yet, and i was asked if it is possible to go down today to look thru and sign the contract. some pros and cons anyway, for the next 1 year, i think OT is a part of my life. just hope i wont go bald after one year. anyway, side track abit.... i managed to survive the whole day with only one Bun and a small packet of HL milk. diet? NO! got no appetite.is like those going to fall sick de pattern. rrrr.... i shall not fall sick.

P.S: job hunting is miserable~ mine ended, but i hope this is not the wrong choice. ^^,

ONE!

This is what have been happening when a group of cheena get together for "shopping"...

A group of cheenas were at a stall, considering what fruits to buy for their... lunch/snacks? I have no "objection" to cheenas gathered to shop... but! as they crowd around some cartons of fruits, they are actually blocking the whole walkway, resulted in other shoppers not being able to walk freely! Are they stupid or what? I thought this cheena students are supposed to be foreign talent? Don't they know some basic manners or have consideration for other people? I really start to doubt about the foreign talent thing... maybe they do have some talent lah, talented in blocking other people and cause traffic jam lor. No wonder our country from morning jam till night: Traffic? JAM! hotline? JAM! foodcourt? JAM! here JAM! there JAM! everywhere JAM! JAM! (ha! like calling myself).

and now i have objection to cheenas patronizing any of the shops! This group of cheena started to ask the shop attendant for price of the specific item that they picked up.

(Lazy to type it out in chinese, so i shall use eng language to elaborate)
Cheena A: How much is one apple selling for?
attendant: 40cts
Cheena B: Oh~ 40cts~
Cheena B: How much is one orange selling for?
attendant: 40cts!
Cheena C: Orange also cost 50cts?~
Cheena D: What is the price for one green apple?
attendant: errr.... 40cts (attendant seems like SIAN half; he sludge his back and lean against the cash register)
Cheena A: so green apple is the same as red apple.
Cheena E: What is the price for one prune?
attendant: Huh?..... errr.... must depend on the weight.
Cheena D: How about the price of one mango?
Momo: (OS) *@#(*@#)(*! Got End No End?!!!! the price of those fruit already labelled so clearly liao! still keep asking?! are you asking the price, doing market survey research or testing mathematical skills of that shop attendant?! keep on asking what is the item of ONE fruit! HELLO?! YOU MIGHT AS WELL AS THE PRICE FOR ONE SMALL ROUND GRAPE!

and in the end what happened? They didn't buy anything, they approach the next stall (mini mart) to buy milk!

what a group of (*@&#)(&^$)@(&#)@($&!!! foreign talent society we are leaving with. I gonna cry and @_#(*@)#(&!

Good Year! Good Day!

Good Year! Good Day!
