it's better than having snow.
To me, Christmas is about spending time with those you love. Be it friends or family... Christmas has always been one of my favourite times of the year simply because you can almost feel more love in the atmosphere. All the gift exchanges, christmas cards, hugs and smiles. You'll find that love actually is everywhere.
1 John 4:19 "We love Him, because He first loved us." And of course the greatest act of love, when the God of the universe would choose to come down to Earth as a helpless human baby, so as to die for our sins and save us.
To me, that is the true meaning of Christmas. Love is the true meaning of Christmas.
It's good to be back home for Christmas.

No place like Home
It's so good to be back home. It's been a really interesting experience to be honest.
You know how there are times in life when you really look forward to something, but when that something finally comes, it's not really what you expected it to be? Not in a bad way... but just different. Like how you could order a cup of coke, but when you drink it you find out it's not coke but ice lemon tea. It's not unpleasant, but it just takes you by surprise. I guess that's what coming home has been like for me.
I've been gone for 3 months, it seems like a short time but so much has happened. I walk home from the bus stop and I see a house that wasn't there before. I step into my house and see blinds in the place of the curtains.
The funny thing is when I'm in London, it's like I've stepped into another world. And in my subconsciousness, time stands still for life in Singapore. And I come back and realise that of course it hasn't, life still goes on as always. And it always comes as a surprise, like I look at some of the zone F people and it's like "WOAH how come you've grown so tall??" And some things remain the same but so much has changed.
Still, it's so good to see those familiar faces again. Home is good and I love Singapore, but what I miss most when I'm in London is you guys. Yes, even more than I miss the good/cheap food!
<3 this song :)
Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never been this way before
All you can do is try to know who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light
You'll come back when it's over
No need to say goodbye
