GIRL!!!

I had an unofficial ultrasound when I went to Utah, and unofficially we all thought it looked like a girl. Today was my official 20 week ultrasound which confirmed it is a girl! I am so excited :)

The switch

For Khloe's birthday she got a big girl bed! I am going to need the crib when the new baby gets here, so the sooner she switches to a bed the better. Let me start by saying I have been dreading this more than a little bit. My sweet little girl is not always willing to go to bed very easy, so the thought of her not being contained by the crib is just frightening. I do have to say... knock on wood... things have gone WAY better than I anticipated. It has not been perfect, having to tell her to go back to bed several times, but she goes to sleep without too much intervention. It is still early, so hopefully the newness does not wear off and I just jinxed myself, but so far so good :)

Next thing to work on: potty training. ( I will spare you those details) Wish me luck...

My Little Girl is 2!

I can't believe it has been 2 years since Khloe came into our lives. She never ceases to amaze me. She has a very strong personality and lets you know exactly what she does and does not want. She is a funny little girl who always keeps us laughing. She is so sweet, and I am blessed for everyday that I get to spend with her.

A few things about Khloe:

Has a huge vocabulary and talks in sentences most of the time.

Likes to repeat everything you say

Can count to 12

Likes movies: "Toys" (toy story), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and more recently Frosty the Snowman

Can sing: I am a child of God, twinkle twinkle little star, and about 2/3 of the alphabet

LOVES books

Favorite foods: Mac and Cheese (she is her mother's child) and "chocolate milk" (Pediasure)

She is a very picky eater

Likes babies (the fake kind, we will see about the real thing soon enough)

Khloe's 2 year check up stats:

Weight: 24.4 lbs. (Just under 25%)

Length: 34 1/4" (Just below 75%)

Head Circumference: 49.7 cm (95%)

We did an informal get together for Khloe's birthday. Jeff and I, my mom, Jonathan, Hannah, Marnie, Corey and her bestie Charlotte were there.

To open presents, she insisted on sitting in Charlotte's bumbo.

Hanging out

While we were in Utah it seemed like we were constantly on the go. We had a lot of friends that we wanted to see. We managed to see most of them, but not all of them :( We were able to spend some good time at Grandma and Grandpa Bishop's house. Khloe loved the babies, magnets, marbles, and Grandpa's train. Here are some good times just hanging out.

Jeff's Dad is super talented and made an awesome train that he rents out for parties and special events and stuff ( so if you are in the Utah area and need a train to rent out, I know who to call) Khloe is a lucky girl because Grandpa gives her rides whenever she wants. She loved it!

KHLOE'S PRE-BIRTHDAY PARTY

Because we left a few days before Khloe's 2nd birthday, Grandma and Grandpa surprised us with a little birthday party... Khloe is so spoiled!

Khloe's First Haircut

I know it is sad that my child was only days away from turning 2 before she had her first haircut. What was even more sad is that what little length we had grown out was only in the back, so yeah my child pretty much had a mullet (don't judge me!) Fortunately my awesome cousin Lindsay was there to save the day. Thanks Linds for fitting us in to what I know was a crazy busy time for you. I love you!!! Live Nativity

Khloe and I just got back from a trip to Utah. While we were there we went to a live nativity in Alpine. I had never been to a live nativity before, so it was fun to experience it. ( I just wish it was not so cold) Enjoy some pictures...

Every year growing up we went to Fern Crest Tree Farm to go pick and cut down our Christmas tree. Now that I live in Washington, we got to get our tree there this year!

Santa is there on the weekends, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to get a picture of Khloe and Santa. Well it was a nice thought, but she decided otherwise. Hence her smiling face and me in the picture... Oh well

Also at some point during all of this we had hot chocolate and sat by a huge potbelly fire place (my favorite part). Can you see why I love this tree farm? It has everything: trees, santa, hot chocolate, reindeer, a petting farm, a gift shop, and a fire place to warm up. Woot! Woot!
