Ava LOVES the camera. This makes it almost completely impossible to film her doing or saying anything. I wanted to capture this patty-cake scene because it's her favorite pass time with daddy. As you'll see I wasn't quite sneaky enough :)

March through July
warning: long post ahead. trying to cover lots of time with lots of pictures and as few comments as possible. hope you enjoy!
First day at the park this spring....it was heavenly. That's Allegra that Ava is squeezing the life out of :)
Outdoor fun with Daddy...You HAVE to click on this collage in order to see how funny some of the pics are..
particularly the one in the bottom left corner
One day when Ava was supposed to be napping. yes she's jumping up and down in her crib...I hope you can see the mischief in her eyes-little stinker*

we are a pickle family.(Andre and Ava have a particular love for them!) these pictures are taken right after a fabulous meal cooked by Diane...pickle chasers. funny:)

j and i out at a bar for a karaoke contest. (no he did not win, and I did not enter. I was still puking a lot at this point!)We had sooo much fun though! Well I did because I have a twisted sense of humor... some of the people who performed were so hilarious that I vowed go back again next year in hopes of seeing them again-It was one of the funniest nights I've ever had! I want to make a karaoke mockumentary some day-

Grampy came for a visit in May and decided to take Ava & I to a live Elmo show! We had front row seats and had a great time. Ava LOVES elmo and zoe so this was quite thrilling to her. the only character she was not too sure about was cookie monster...every time he got close to us she would shake her head and say " no...no...NO...NO!" getting progressively louder and more scared. She never cried so I found it pretty funny:) She also got to try cotton candy for the first time, which she didn't like at all, and a snow cone which she loved!

First day in the pool. Daddy thought she needed a little help getting acclimated. it helped! she had lots more fun after that:)

Ava has started hugging me in a new way. She'll climb up next to me wherever I'm sitting, and instead of getting on my lap, she plops next to me and throws her arm around my shoulder or neck...it's really precious because she's obviously trying to imitate someone she's seen doing this. What a little doll:)
