Relaxing Weekend

After finals week and basically just a stress filled semester of school, Ryan and I needed a fun little get away and since we're still pretty poor we could only afford to go away for a night, but it was much needed and we had soooooo much fun! We went to Salt Lake and stayed in the Anniversary Inn for a night. We just spent the night hanging out and relaxing.... and oh it was wonderful! Ryan's parents watched Kaya for us so it was just a date with the two of us. Friday we spent all day Christmas shopping at the Gateway....holy cow that can be exhausting, but we had fun all the same. Oh I love my cute hubby! He's the best and I love it when we are together! I did miss Kaya though, it's hard being away from her, but at least this time I didn't cry my eyes out for ten minutes when we left (like last time).

What a HAPPY Thanksgiving!

First of all I hope everyone had just as fun this Thanksgiving weekend as we did. We really enjoyed spending time with family while eating good food. My sister came up for the holiday and we always have a lot of fun when they're around. My Grandma Wassom was also around and we really enjoyed seeing her! Along with eating tooooooons of food this weekend we also got to celebrate my little nieces 4th birthday. On Friday we had a fun party with presents and cake. After Jaida opened all of her gifts we headed to Ogden to see Ballet West perform in The Nutcracker. We all had soooooo much fun! The dancers we all amazing as well as beautiful. Saturday we drove up to Bear Lake with Ryan's family to cut down Christmas trees. The day was perfect and we ended up cutting down a total of four trees in one afternoon...which is an all time record I think! After we cut down our trees we all went to the family cabin and watched the BYU v Utah game...which by the way BYU won! Yay! So all in all we had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! I am so thankful for my little family and all the things we enjoy on a daily basis. I know we have it pretty darn good! I also just wanted to say thanks mom for having the faith in my to make the only three creme pies on Thanksgiving and thanks Chris for your yummy recipe! Love you guys!!!!

This weekend we took a trip with my parents to Grand Junction to visit my sister and grandma. We had soooo much fun! We left Thursday night from Ogden around 7:00 and got into Junction around 12:30 (not bad). Friday we spent the day carving pumpkins and hanging out. Ryan carved the cutest cat and Jaida, my sister's little girl, helped my dad, Grandpa, carv a cute smiley face pumpkin. Kaya had a blast helping carv pumpkins too, she didn't mind reaching clear into the pumpkin to help clean out all the guts either.

Halloween Kitty

Yesterday we dressed Kaya up for her first Halloween Party of the year. Ryan's Aunt Lonnie throws a Halloween party every year where everyone on the Chambers side of the family gets together. The kids love it because she plans games, does a parade, and builds a fun little spook alley in their barn. Everyone else loves it because she always has a yummy dinner. This year was Kaya's first time being able to run around and play with the big kids...it was hilarious to see her interact with all the older girls and boys (the cousins). She really thought she was sooooo big. Gosh she's cute! We also dressed up up as the cutest little cat. She had little black ears, a black tutu, a little black tail, and the cutest black shirt, tights, and shoes. I may be a little biased, but I'm pretty sure she was the cutest kitty there. We even painted a little black nose and whiskers on her face...which by the way are still on her face because we cant get them to wash off! Anywho we had a lot of fun at the party, so thanks Lonnie (if you ever read or see this) for always putting on a good time!

Daddy's Slippers

So Kaya found Ryan's big bear paw slippers this morning and wanted to try them on. I had to snap a few pictures of her stummbling around in them. Pretty funny :)

Steamboat Springs

So this post is a little late, but about three weeks ago we went on a super fun trip up to Steamboat Springs Colorado to do some mountain biking. It was the first time Ryan and I left our little girl alone for the weekend...needless to say I bawled for a good 10 minutes after we left her with my mom! Crazy woman emotions I know. So after the waterworks we spent the next seven hours driving to Steamboat. We spent Friday through Saturday riding our little tails off. We went with Ryan's Aunt Karen and Uncle Phil, Dallin and Jess, Ryan's friend Chuck, Trevor and another fun couple, Nick and Emily (thanks guys for putting up with us). Sunday we unwillingly drove home...well I was a little excited to see Kaya...so I guess I was kinda willing. We had a blast! It's kind a weird though to say we had a blast because probably 80% of the time I was feeling like I was gonna die climbing some mountain trail! Go figure :)

So I got Kaya's Halloween costume on Saturday and decided I better try it on her. She looked so stinkin cute! And to top it off I turned on some music while she was all dressed up and she just danced around the house! I filmed the whole thing so now everyone can enjoy! She makes me laugh hope you get some giggles too :)
