my three wives :)

This post is long, and its naughty xD Before you read this post, please make sure you have 30min to spare, and you are of age.

I currently have 3 wives :D

Here's my first one :) Her name is Darling.

I first met Darling 5 years ago. She was born in China, and had only recently flown to Singapore in search for a nice owner. At that time, I was inexperienced, but her guardian kept telling me that she is a really good choice for me, and so I took her in :)

I gave her guardian $900 and from then on, Darling became mine :) She was my very first, and I was hers x) Darling is really beautiful. She doesn't have a single scar on her body, and she glows from head to toe. She's so shiny her skin can be used as a mirror :D

Alas, despite her exquisite surface beauty, Darling was not equipped to be a good wife at all. Her guardian has mistreated her, and many of her assets were not up to standard x) Thus, I spent $650, parted with her for two weeks, while she had an extreme makeover from head to toe.

When Darling finally came back, she became brighter, more reliable and more outspoken :D Her greatest strength lies in her soft, tender touch. I can play with her effortlessly, and no matter what position I am in, she will succumb with great ease.

I had memorable times with her. She had been by my side for several exams and performances. But nevertheless, despite her costly makeover, Darling was still not suited to be a good wife D: Her body in the first place was of substandard quality. When I play with Darling, her moans, despite being bright and loud, lacked substance. She failed to please me anymore.. Simply put, she's like a beautiful submissive teenager, but does not sound like a real fully-blossomed woman.

Ever since I had my second wife, I stopped playing with Darling anymore D:
Here's how Babe looks like:

Babe came into my possession in May this year, and I got her second-handed. She doesn't have a passport, so I don't know where she is from, but the last time I took her for a makeover, the makeover guy said she's from China. She is probably at least 10 years old and so she's more mature :D But since I got her second-handed, it means that she isn't chaste anymore D: Hehe who cares, I had my first with Darling anyway.

Being more mature, Babe performs more like how a wife should be. She has quite a number of scars on her body, so she isn't as pretty as Darling, but she has a beautiful voice! Her voice isn't as bright as Darling's, but it is mellower and richer.

However, Babe isn't as submissive as Darling! When I want to get into higher and more exciting positions, Babe will tense up and it takes a lot of effort for her to submit. Sometimes I might even feel pain :O

Hence, I spent another $290 for Babe to undergo a makeover too. The taming of this shrew took only a few hours, when she came back, her voice became slightly louder and a lot richer. The best thing is of course, I can get to play her anyway I want x)

But even then, the Babe still has a few flaws too. She's rather insensitive when singing softly and in the lower registers, and she has a fatal spot that I dare not mess with. That spot lies along her really long G-string. If you dare finger a spot 32cm down her G-string, that's when she'll howl like a wolf. Really nasty x)

(For more information on a wolf tone, click here)

I celebrated Babe's birthday on October 21st in front of a roughly 100 member crowd playing her using many different equipment and in 5 different styles xD Currently, Babe is still the wife I play with the most, and I probably will for the next few years.

Now here's my last wife: Gorgeous

Actually I shouldn't classify Gorgeous as a wife. She's more like a mistress x) Now I get to play with her for a few days, and then after that I need to return her to her original guardian D:

Gorgeous has a passport :) It can be found inside her body. Here it is:

Her father is Franz Dotzauer. You can see his signature in the picture. Below Dotzauer's name is the word "Markneukirchen". This is a place in Germany, so it shows that Gorgeous is a German :)

The thing about Gorgeous is that she's really ugly. She very black, has scratches and scars all over her body, and she stinks. She was born in the 1600s, and she probably haven't had a bath since then. Um I don't intend to give her one, in fact I would kill anyone who attempts to give her one.

But Gorgeous is truly fine, mature, and fully-blossomed. Standing at over 300 years old and a market value of $22k, she is even more submissive than Darling. And boy can she sing! It's just a pleasure to play with her. Her voice is so much richer and beautiful than Babe, and she can sing stunningly at all registers, high or low, something that Babe can only 望尘莫及.

I only have a one more day to play with her D: I'm returning her on Friday.

Okay before Gorgeous leaves, let's have a family portrait:

From left, Darling, Babe and Gorgeous :)

When Sezairi did a facepalm upon the announcement of the Singapore idol results, i reckoned that half the people in Singapore did the same thing.

Today was BHCO concert day. For lunch, the super nice BHCC uncle bought everyone mouth-watering charsiew roast pork rice. For dinner, there was an awesome buffet laid out and you could smell the aroma from 10 metres away. After the concert, the bubbly female bassist (which Charlotte introduced on her blog earlier) gave all of us belated Christmas presents comprising of a bag full of all sorts of candies. Cello SL edmund then opened up a box full of wonderful chocolates and shared it with everyone.

Don't you just love such a day? T_T

I've been scammed.

I've been waiting in anticipation for the pain to come.

Almost everyone I asked who had braces said it was painful. And I wanted to feel it.

But I never did.

It's just discomfort, but no pain at all. Um if you pinch me, I feel pain. If you kick my cello, I'll feel pain. But braces are painless.

Okay that aside, I feel like a baby now. I can't eat properly, and I can't talk properly. Don't get me wrong, its not that braces are painful. But the dentist stuck this piece of hard white thingy in my mouth, and I can't close my mouth properly.

Take a look at my awesome mouth: there is it, right at the end.
Yeah T_T its like sticking something at the entrance of the door. One small corner is blocked, but the entire door cannot close properly. I can't even clench my teeth together, so everything I eat has to be liquid. And everything I talk has to be gibberish.

Try it for yourself. Open your mouth, make sure your teeth does not touch each other during the entire process, and say this out loud: She sells sea shells on the sea shore.

Okay you get what I mean :)

My dentist said that if she doesn't put that white thingamajig there, my upper tooth will bite off the bracket on my lower tooth. According to her, the white thingy will slowly dissolve and after that it will be fine.

But it has been 3 days, and that white blob still looks as big as ever.

I've been scammed.

This is it. I have da cool new cool braces.

It's going to stay with me for about 3 years, throughout my entire jaw operation, pre-op and post-op.

And its quite funny cos its not "braced" all the way. My middle lower tooth doesn't have a bracket on it. It's quite an eyesore actually, like a chess set with a missing pawn or a piano with a G# chipped off.

My awesome dentist said the most people would feel pain for about a week or so, but judging by the state of my teeth and the 3871878951 adjustments she made to it, she predicted the pain would last about 10 to 14 days for me.

I just brushed my teeth, and it was rather tedious x) Right now it still feels okay, some discomfort here and there, but no pain. Maybe the pain might come on Sunday morning and I would have to pangsei my stand-partner and not play for BHCO concert xP

Sigh, and everyone has been all around the world this holidays. The most exciting place I've been to is probably the hospital or the cinema. And in both places, I sit on a chair and do nothing.

Avatar was AWESOME :)

It was the first movie I watched this year, but its probably the only movie you should watch if you can only watch one movie this year :D In my next life I want to live in Pandora and be a Na'vi :D

And today was the first time in 12 days that I ate RICE. omg i'm super happy haha. 12 days of porridge for breakfast, lunch, teabreak, dinner, and supper is making me absolutely nuts.

I also tried eating green leafy vege for the first time in 12 days during dinner and failed miserably. I ended up eating just the soft leaves and picking out all the stems T_T

Braces tomorrow, which means another 10 days of porridge T_________________T

I removed my stitches today :D

But I waited 2.5 hours at the waiting area for my turn T_T What a waste of time.

Speaking of time, I ain't got much left. It's 14 days to 2010, and I have just finished my binomial expansion tutorial T_T Considering that I haven't done anything non-promo related since September, I still have power series, waves, superposition, electric fields, current electricity, and the entire organic chem to complete.

Sigh.

And for some reason, I'm involved in Braddell Heights Chinese Orchestra's concert. Hubert smsed me on Tuesday midnight and said the orchestra lacked cellists, and so I agreed to go. I agreed quite readily I think, mainly because of 2 reasons. #1) I lost the 拨片 that Hubert lent me which I used for my Happy B'day compo, and so I feel guilty. #2) I've been playing in an external CO for the past 3 years (actually this year August supposed to also, but I dropped out D: ) and now that I'm a little more free, I guess I want to play in a CO again haha.

So I went for the rehearsal on wednesday night. Apart from Valteo who I saw at the rehearsal room entrance, the first person I saw when I entered the room was Charlotte. And the first thing she said was "omg, why are you here!" -.-

Haha BHCO has quite a lot of RJ people, as compared to CSCO where I'm the only one. But CSCO still feels more lively and dynamic, probably because of the conductor, and wanchien! haha :D But the cellists here are better haha

The pieces are quite okay I guess, all pretty much sight-readable. 故都风情 is probably the hardest piece, but I'm probably playing it for like the 3rd time already. I still love the cello melody haha :)

Okay here's an update on the operation. It's long, but you won't want to miss this post. There's a nice picture at the end :)

Prelude
Here was the initial plan:
Thursday (11/ 12) Extract 4 wisdom teeth
Monday (21/12) Extract 2 upper canines and put bands
Wednesday (29/12) Put braces

Then, the day before my op, I spoke to my dentist and she said that I might as well take out all 6 teeth at one go (4 wisdom teeth + 2 canines) and then on 21/12 I can straightaway put braces. My surgeon said its my choice, she can do it, as long as I'm willing to handle the pain T_T

As the Chinese saying goes 长痛不如短痛. Yeah and I so gave the green light.

The Op
The operation was full of trauma.

Firstly, I had over 20 injections inserted in my mouth. Its about 3-4 injections per tooth that's going to be extracted. After all the anesthetic was injected, the extraction of my first wisdom tooth began.

I thought since all the injections were completed, the worst part should be over. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The upper teeth extractions were okay, all went quite smoothly. By smoothly, I meant that the teeth came out in one piece.

The lower teeth gave me hell. Both lower wisdom teeth cracked halfway through the extraction, and so the surgeon had to extract them in parts. And that involved a lot of drilling and sawing :S A LOT D:

Postlude
The few hours after the operation was bad. Like really bad. Because of all the anesthetic, my entire mouth was numb. Plus the right side is swollen and my lips were twitched to one side, so I looked like a stoke patient T_T And there was a lot a lot of blood.

My first meal after the operation was a glass of milk, but drinking that glass of milk took me like 20 minutes, I can't control any muscle in my mouth and my throat muscles were a bit restricted too.

And I suffered from prolonged bleeding, which isn't supposed to happen. The rest of the extraction sites stopped bleeding after 2-3 hours, but my left canine extraction site kept bleeding, and that bleeding continued for more than 24 hours. Well it finally stopped 2 hours ago T_T But throughout the entire yesterday and today morning, I was drinking my own blood.

Dinner yesterday was plain porridge with the sauce from the pickled lettuce can.
Supper was the same.
Breakfast today was oatmeal.
Brunch was Beancurd.
Lunch was plain porridge with pickled lettuce sauce.
Teabreak was plain porridge with pickled lettuce sauce.
No prizes for guessing what my dinner would be later.

Now I guess I'm quite okay, but my right side is still a bit swollen so I look a bit cute :D Hehe no picture of that here, but here's a picture of my extracted teeth!

The first 2 are my upper wisdom teeth, the next 2 are my upper canines. The bottom ones are my lower wisdom teeth, all in pieces T_T

Life has been.. off schedule.

I was supposed to be doing some tutorials, but I'm back to reading Chinese Wuxia novels. Two days ago, my mum ordered me to read a book because she said I haven't read one yet this year. I warned her that once I get started, I wouldn't stop. Now this set of 武侠 comprises of 6 books, I just finished the first book, which I started this morning, and my mum's begging me to stop now.

Anw I guess I will stop reading for the next 2 days, because I need to do some arranging for Chamber CIP. Contrary to popular belief, arranging pieces actually take quite a lot of time. Allocating the parts (on hardcopy) can be done in probably around two hours or so depending on the length of the piece, but typing it on Sibelius is an entire thing altogether. Notating my Happy Birthday compo took me around 6 hours, arranging and notating my sec 4 RE project song took me 3 entire afternoons and nights in the lonely PC lab of RI's Artspace.

Anw I shall control myself, stop reading, and focus on doing some arranging for the next 2 days :) Hopefully I can get enough pieces completed and go for Piano Ensem dinner on Wednesday night.

The twist to the story is that I probably wouldn't even get to hear my own arrangements being played D: Chamber CIP is on Thursday, and that's when I'm going to go for Phase 1 out of 7 of my epic Jaw surgery: Extracting my wisdom teeth.

Wisdom teeth are basically like your 3rd molars. If you stick your finger into your mouth now, you can probably feel a tooth embedded in the gum behind your second molar. Either that, or your wisdom teeth have already grown out. Anw, the wisdom teeth are located very near the nerves in the cheek and jaw (the nerves that allow you to smile, frown, pout, etc), so in order to minimize danger and risk for phase 5/7 of my surgery, I have to extract the wisdom teeth first.

4 teeth at one go D: If you know that extracting molars are painful, imagine how it would be to extract molars that haven't even grown out yet. Ugh.. its like taking out babies before they are born :S

And all this will be done with my mind being perfectly conscious.

And the worst part is that, I can't eat properly after my op DDDDD: Yet alone 6 meals a day. Operation Get Fat = Fail T_T

Long post again ^_^ but since my posts are coming so infrequently, I'm sure my loyal readers won't mind.

Okay today I'm going to talk about the first love of my life. It comes in two colours and thirty-two parts. It is 6.25% female and 93.75% male.

It's Chess :)

I spent the last 3 days reading chess books, which I rediscovered after clearing my storeroom. And reading them certainly brings back lots and lots of memories..

I remember during the december hols in p3, I chanced upon a book on Chess in Cheng San Library. For two weeks, I was the proud owner of that book, and that book was my very first chess teacher.

When the new year started, I was posted to Rosyth primary, and I joined their chess club, even though I had never touched a chess set in my life. During the first month, I felt like a complete noob. Back then, I managed to buy the mini magnetic chess set from the school's bookshop and then during recess, I would play chess with Kenneth or Jingxian. And I always got trashed.

But chess was such a fascinating subject and I just kept reading, playing, and dreaming about it. Most of the time when I'm stoning, or when I'm asleep, I would picture chess boards in my head and the pieces moving around as if it was a real game, except that I'm playing myself >.<>.<)

Out of 9 games in that competition, I won 6, lost 3, and got a merit prize. Haha I was super happy, because it know it was quite an achievement given the fact that I've only learned the game for 3 months. At that time, the Singapore Chess Federation gave out invitations for all players who got 5.5 points and above to join their Junior Squad. Both xuewen and I joined :D

And that's where I met Matthew and Andrew Chua. Haha Matthew, another pivotal person in my life. Actually lots of the geppers and smart people are good in Chess. Because its a game that requires vision and imagination. You have to think of what happens on the board the next move, or even what's going to happen in 10 moves, 20 moves. And to do that, you need to be able to visualise everything in your mind. In addition, you need creativity and imagination to employ novel ways of attacking/defending. I love games which involves epic sacrifices and a flawless combination that leads to the ulitimate checkmate of the opponent king. Top chess players in the world usually have IQs of around like 160++.

Anw, playing chess has been a super memorable experience in my life. I remember primary 5, during the National Schools Team Championships, our team initially came in first at the end of the competition, beating powerhouse ACS. Our score was 18, compared to ACS 17.5. And everyone was ecstatic, until the organizers suddenly disqualified us, on the basis that we did not follow the proper seating arrangement T_T (absurd right?) We were supposed to sit according to our rating, but I played second board even though my rating was lower than xuewen (3rd board) and ian (4th board). So actually its my fault D:

But that same year, in December, I came in individual first in the New Generation Chess tournament, pearl category. 6.5 points out of 7, and I got a huge trophy along with it. Haha :DDD

I DSA-ed into RI using Chess, but it was ironic because I didn't join the chess club in RI at all xD In RI, Chess started to disappear in my life, and instead, Scrabble slowly surfaced.

Scrabble was an awesome experience for me as well. Again I indulged in it for 3 years, from sec 2 to 4, but this time not so hardcore as chess haha. Anyway, I'm sure Haiwei or Xuewen would understand the process and joy of playing Scrabble, as like how I played Chess, they learned the game from scratch in 3 months and went for the National Schools competition. Our awesome team got first place :D and there are no absurd rules to disqualify outright champions)

I have two interesting thoughts my Chess and Scrabble playing experiences :) I shall list them in an organized manner like how Charlotte does it.

1. Nemesis
For both Chess and Scrabble, there is always a nemesis school that my team will get owned when pitted against them.
For chess, Rosyth's nemesis is Henry Park Primary. I remember our team meeting them twice in the team chess championships, once in p4 and once in p6. During both encounters, Rosyth was the hot favourite to win the match, but both times we got trounced. And against the same opponents.

Call it bad karma or something, I can still remember their faces and names. In board 1, Our star player Jared Jason Neubronner lost to Steward Retnam via back-rank mate T_T For those of you who play chess regularly, this is one of the most unforgivable flops that a player should never make. In board 2, I've lost to Michael Chee both times. In fact I've had a few individual encounters with him before, but I always get trounced. In board 3, xuewen would lose to this guy called Jiarong.

Sigh, I still hope to have a match with michael chee again someday :) I've defeated Jiarong and Steward before, but I can't sleep properly knowing I have never won michael in like our past 4 encounters x)

For Scrabble, RI's nemesis has been St. Nicks. In our epic game last year, Kenneth lost by 9 points, I lost by 11 points (i lost 12 points from wrong word challenges) and Xuewen lost by 32 points if i'm not wrong. In sec 3, my RI team was knocked out in the prelims by St. Nicks. Both encounters ended with a 1-4 scoreline.

2. 3 years Chess, 3 years Scrabble, what's next?
I played Chess for 3 years in primary school. I played Scrabble for 3 years in secondary. I haven't found a game to occupy myself for JC, unlike my Scrabble gang who's now indulging in Bridge.

Yes its not a game, but I'm certain that Music is what I'm going to indulge in for JC :) And like Chess and Scrabble, I'm gonna own it :DDD

But what's going to happen after JC? Is it going to be music all the way? That's what I'm thinking of now, but can I last? And besides, I'm feeling quite nostalgic for chess now. Someday when I'm bored performing, teaching, conducting or composing, I shall quit my job and go back to playing chess competitively again, just for the thrill of it.
