Chinese Os are over.
I'm freaking pissed with myself right now.
Paper 1 is currently either do or die. I wrote 3 pages + 1 line for Qn 1, and then 4.5 pages for Qn 5. I feel weird about the 报章报道 now, the question was quite screwed, and I think I wrote out of topic. If I actually wrote correctly, I think I should score quite well, but if I wrote out of point, then there goes my zuowen.
Paper 2 is the !@#$%&*(^)(*#@&T@#^!
For paper 1, I basically just chionged right at the start, so I manged to write a bit more than I thought I will. Then for paper 2, I took my own sweet time at the start, and found that with 45 minutes left, I still had the last compre and summary to do.
Yeah, so I panicked, and wrote slip-shot answers for the whole comprehension, and then rushed on to the summary. Seconds after I completed my last sentence the teacher announced the end of the paper. Then I tooked Andrew's question booklet to go through and realised that my summary is freaking screwed.
I didn't read the question properly due to my haste, and I ONLY SUMMARISED PARAGRAPH 2.
As you all know, the summary's language mark is based on the content mark, since my content marked is halved, the maximum language mark that I can get is half too, so basically I'll probably fail that summary component.
Damn it.
I hate myself.
I hate my screwed-up time management.
I hate the fact that I could only start studying Chinese wholeheartedly 3 days before the exam.
I hate the fact that I don't even make good use of those 3 days.
I hate the fact that I am so out of practise.
Damn it.
If I get A1, I must be dreaming.
If I get A2, I'm super dissapointed.
If I get B3 and below, I would think of committing suicide, then ponder whether my suicide case will appear in next year's 报章报道, then realise that I love life too much, and then take Chinese in RJC.
Lets move on.. I don't want to emo about my Chinese the whole day.
Lets talk about
Subject combinations now.
Right now there are 2 main ones going through my mind.
PCMM: Physics, Chem, Math, MEP.. or
ECMM: Econs, Chem, Math, MEP
I'm still at a lost at what I am going to take. JC combinations affect your career options majorly, so I really need to cool down and decide what I want to take.
What do I want to do in the future?
#1 Music teacher
Yeah I know I phail at almost all aspects of music. Like loser of all trades and jack of none. Teaching the cello might be fun, and so is teaching general music or MEP. I'll most probably be like Ms Shen, who only teaches but never openly displays her practical skills unlike Ms Goh who has pro sight-reading. But even then, Ms Shen's practical skills is still super pro (yeah my RE group seen her play before), and she can hear chords and notes, both of which I fail at.
Still, I still have like 5 years or so to work up to Ms Shen's standard >< I must really work super hard from now on!
And someone teach me how to hear notes T.T
#2 Investor
Well, actually I can do this part-time also, as Xinhong as said before, the best investors don't look at the stock market everyday. They analyze businesses, and trust what they read and researched about, not trust the random ups and downs in the stock market. Investing is like a must in the future, cos to combat inflation, you definitely need something that gives you higher returns. Putting your money in the bank basically means you're gradually losing money as they diminish in value.
So I want to take Econs, but I'm not sure if its really essential if I want to go into business. And RJ said that not everyone who applies will get it, unlike Hwa Chong, who have absolutely no lack of Econs teachers because they happily offer long-term contracts to most of the good teachers that come their way and bind them tightly to Hwa Chong. So 90% of the people take Econs in HCI while the number is like significantly lesser in RJ.
#3 Engineer
Well, the other area of interest is to just follow my good old dad and go into the building and construction sector. Take PCMM, work hard and get a good A-level score, apply for BCA scholarship, take an Engineering course and work in the same field as my dad.
Ok so here's when the headache comes in.. Either of the subject combinations can only fulfil 2 out of the 3 options, so which one do I take?
I really want music, so if Dr. Gooi fails me for the Entrance exam, I'll probably emo and rant for another week before I painfully clear my mind and take PCME like what more than half of RI is doing. I really hope this doesn't happen!! Because this year we have a record number of students applying for Music in RJC. Hopefully they won't make any cut!! *Prays*
So now Econs of Physics? Dennis is taking PCMM, so I'm really tempted to swing over too, but then I don't want to make the same Bio/Geog mistake (if it was one) as I did in sec 3. Right now I'm like hoping Xinhong pops out online on MSN so I can clear a lot of doubts with him and decide what I want to take, cos honestly I currently have more interest in Econs than in Physics.
Argh quite luan and still dissapointed and pissed with my Chinese now.. I think I shall go play the piano and cool myself down.
