Haiz..... My blog is soooooo dead.
Haven't been in the mood for blogging, especially since its after the september hols. Still in holidaying mood now, and thus my time is dedicated to cubing, which I'm about 50sec now, and reading (like wow). Anyway, seriously need to wake up and start mugging soon if I want to pull my GPA up using the 40% of the overall year eoys.
DMP just rocks okay. Totally. I get to wake up late everyday, come home early half the day, and spend half the time in school at the library, especially when I come to school for an average of 1.25 periods a day.
Let me go thru my dmp modules:
1) Math: Logic and Paradoxes.
No tests, and the grade will be given to you based on a reflective essay on the last lesson. 1.5hrs in class is just used for looking at different paradoxes and discussing them, although half the time i use my logic in cubing.
2) Geog (yes its geog): Chinese Geomancy
Feng shui? My ass. More like the study of the public's views on fengshui - a social survey. 1st lesson dedicated to learning some basic elements used in feng shui, like 8 tiagrams, the compass (the ancient figure lah duh), the 5 elements, and the turtle, dragon, tiger and phoenix.
2nd lesson was a field trip to survey the people around bishan on their views on feng shui. Really funny things happened here, but I dun care to elaborate. Main gist of it is that we had 2 respondents in the private housing area, first one was a really nice woman who invited us to her posh house and asked if we needed a drink. 2nd resondent was a woman in her 50s who was playing mahjong and offered us $5.
3) Philo: Making it big and doing it right
Dennis Au is the proud teacher of our class, which consists of 7 people, and the only sec 3s here are me, vince, and gerald sng. So this lesson is more of an interesting interactive discussion.
Thats all I have on my bloody timetable. 18 hours, haha pwns yours right?
Of course there are some other stuff lah.
4) Investment Elective
Totally pwnzors course. Teach you how you pwn the professionals in investing hands down, and I really mean hands down. 6 hours worth of lessons, but recorded at 10.5 hours. The best course in dmp i feel. Theres a bbq at the end of the 3 sessions too, also known as a "networking session" where you meet bankers and other businessmen that might prove helpful to you should you enter the finance world in the future.
5) MEP song writing, recording course
Average course. Quite slack, no assessments, tests. Ben wee, Jon shin, Jing Hui and Gerald sng's quartet music of simple symphony and canon in D is a must hear.
6) Elementary Malay Conversation course.
The worst in my opinion. Attend 30 hours to clock 15 hours. And you dun understand anything at all.
So hows yours?
