Yeah!
MozART challenge is finally over. Success! Congrats to RGS, and unexpected 1st runners up and 2nd runners up, which are Nan Chiau High School and CHIJ Toa Payoh respectively . The favourites Chung Cheng High team 1 unexpectedly didn't made it through the semis.
Time for some emo-ing. This project will be IMPOSSIBLE without the Aesthetics department, who has been helping sooo much with the competition. Its like those guys behind the scenes that are absolutely crucial to the production, and the stars just goes out in the light and steals most of the credit. But of cos, the "stars" did quite a lot too. So don't think our project is slack, even though the first few 1 month was spent playing dota in the pc lab.
Special thanks goes to Joshua Foong, who spent like 45minutes decorating the scoreboard, writing the "MozART" and in the end found out that there was no space to write the "challenge". But there's always hongrui, and though quality is half as good (which is still quite good), efficiency is twice as good.
Talking about ego, here's a classic example:
CHG: Guys, during the titration test, your result must not differ from mine by more than 0.2
Class: Sir, what if your result is wrong?
CHG: Impossible... given my years of experience (you're right), and also, I AM THE GOD OF TITRATION! (and I'm beyond godlike)
Class: ... ...
That's one example on how screwed up teachers can be.
On a seperate note, I think I appreciate Ms Peh more now. Seriously! The best thing about Ms Peh's lesson is the pre-exam self practise paper which she gives out, cos after doing them, the questions in the exam will look quite familar. The bad thing is that she overestimates the ability of the class (actually we're still pro, but lazy). If she gives you 5 minutes to do a question, be prepared that the answer will be gone through after 5 seconds.
On the other hand, our new takeover teacher, Mr. Teng, will give you 15 minutes if he called for 5 minutes. There was once where he came in 20 minutes late for class, and oh yeah... in an attempt to explain linear law using completing the square, Mr. Teng spent another 20 minutes trying to figure out how completing the square is done, and stopped only after Andrew showed him.
At least Ms Peh knows her stuff.
