No Barriers

I seldom get the chance to talk to my friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on with my life... well, this is it. My online journal. Yah, another personal blog,just exactly what the world needs now. Let's be realistic, it's cheaper than overseas calls. Less tiring than novel-like emails.

Our Journey
I finally had the chance to upload the video that I created for JP before I left Manila. :) I often watch this in my laptop whenever I miss him. It's a collection of pictures taken from 1997 until 2009. Look closely in the pictures and you might see some common faces/friends :) Charlene Gonzales is also in the first set of pictures :) hehe

*Don't forget to put your earphones on! :)

Handog
I spent a few hours today going through some of the pictures in my laptop, and came across this video that I took during my last team building in Manila. It was nice seeing them all again and hearing them sing this song. I actually used this same song when I created the presentation/movie for the team that was used in one of the All Hands/Townhall meeting. I got the chance to upload the video in multiply the other day and just wanted to share this with you all - here are some of the people who made it a bit hard for me to leave my "ex-firm".

If you're interested in singing along, you can find the lyrics here (with the ENGLISH translation of the lyrics):

My 5-day Birthday Vacay
Together with my cousins and nephews, we headed to Sydney last June 6. We arrived in NSW around 9am last June 7 (we took a charter bus from Melbourne to Sydney, thanks Ate Kathy for the treat!). We went to the city for lunch and had a quick look at the Opera House from the Circular Quay.

We headed back to my cousin's hotel to meet Yas and Al. Kuya Alex and I will be staying in at the Locnen Residence during our entire Sydney Vacay. :)

Day 1 - June 7 (with Yas, Al and Kuya Alex)
- We went to the Featherdale Zoo where I got to see the koalas up-close and feed the kangaroos.
- We had dinner at Hooters (love the chicken wings!!!)

Day 2 - June 8 (with Yas, Al and Kuya Alex)
- We went to Katoomba to see the Blue Mountains and Rain Forest. We also got the ride the Katoomba Scenic Railway, which is the steepest incline railway in the world. (It's worth every cent!)
- Around night time, we headed to the city and had a pictorial in the Macquarie St. which had a nice view of the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
- We had a very satifying dinner at a Thai Restaurant and then went to the Lindt Cafe for dessert.

Day 3 - June 9 (with Kuya Alex, then Yas & Al joined us for dinner)
- We went to the city and spent the whole day walking around. We visited the
* Hyde Park
* Macquarie St (again :))
* Royal Botanical Garden
* Opera House
* Chinatown
* Darling Harbour
* Maritime Museum
* Queen Victoria Building
- Yas and Al surprised me with a birthday cake, and we brought it to the Italian Restaurant where we had dinner. The waiter was very kind that he even offered to put it in the fridge while we had dinner. When he went out, he added 3 candles (no, I did not turn 30 yet... I just turned 28) and walked backwards so that I won't see the cake he was carrying.. It was kinda sweet. :) Anyway, the cake is perfect, it tastes bitter-sweet and light... Thanks again Yas and Al for the Tiramisu Cake from Cafe 85 Degrees.

Day 4 (with Yas and Kuya Alex)
- SHOPPING DAY!!! We went to the Macquarie Shopping Center, DFO, Birkenpoint (I think.. I forgot the name of the place hehe) and QVB.
- We had dinner at Ribs and Rumps.

Day 5 (with Kuya Alex)
- We went to the city and had breakfast in Circular Quay. We stayed inside the Opera House (it was very cold and windy) and then headed to Chinatown for lunch. After lunch, we took the cab to the airport for our flight back to Melbourne. We arrived in Melbourne at 4:00pm and headed to Ate Kathy's place in Bayswater to get Kuya Alex's car. :)

All 290 pictures of my Sydney vacation is available in multiply:

My, Oh My...

The first official trailer for Twilight New Moon has been released. The newly released New Moon Trailer was first shown during the MTV Music Awards last May 31 and fans (like ME!) are going crazy about it. I am sooo glad to find the official trailer here..(there are lots of fan-made trailers claiming to be the original one in youtube)

My, oh my... I am starting to feel the twilight fever again. I have already supressed my feelings (haha, as if) for Edward.. and it seems like it's making a come back. Somebody please bite me!!! hahahaha

I feel bad that I left all my 4 books in Manila...:( I can't wait to see the movie on November 20. I hope JP is already here in Australia to watch it with me. :)

Collide
I was watching Ellen this morning and saw a girl (who won Ellen's Bathroom Concert Series) and loved the song. It's an old song, but hearing it again made me remember how nice it was. :)

For the original version of the song and lyrics, see below:

Collide - Howey Day

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

But I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find, you and I collide

I'm quiet, you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know
I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
You somehow find, you and I collide

Don't stop here
I've lost my place
I'm close behind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find, you and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide
