No Barriers

I seldom get the chance to talk to my friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on with my life... well, this is it. My online journal. Yah, another personal blog, just exactly what the world needs now. Let's be realistic, it's cheaper than overseas calls. Less tiring than novel-like emails.

Rob's New 'do
Being a certified twilight fanatic, even the slightest change in any of the characters interest me, esp. if it is related to the lead characters - Edward (Robert Pattinson) or Bella (Kirsten Stewart).

Just saw this in the news today - Rob is sporting a new 'do.
I actually like this one more. I am not into the curly and unkempt hairdo that he used to have. For me, this is a good move for him. I get a bit irritated everytime I see him in an interview playing with his long hair or brushing it with his fingers - it looks like he hasn't shampoo'ed his hair for a week. I think he’ll grow back the hair when 'New Moon' begins shooting. Then again, that film should be shooting any time now. Why did he have a pretty drastic haircut again? I hope the change doesn't mean that he's not part of 2nd movie anymore :(

Which Twilight Female Character am I?

I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com.

"You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family.
A loving home is of great importance to you and you always try
to make people feel welcome.
Although you have a great capacity to love,
you also have a great capacity to hurt,
so at times you can be sensitive.
You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things."

Double Date
Jp and I met up with Jannet and Allan for a double date. :) It's a get-together / despedida for Allan who will be flying back to Germany tomorrow, after a 2-wk vacay here in Manila. (Jannet will be here until February 2009).

We had dinner at John and Yoko's in GB5, and then went to GB3 to watch Iskul Bukol. [The movie sucks, it was dragging/boring - and only had very few funny parts, we should have watched Tanging Ina instead] Anyway, I still had fun - as Jannet, Allan and I share our crazy adventures during my visits in their place before. Hopefully, next time we have a double date, it'll be in Melbourne already. :)

12th Dress
This next wedding is Allan and Rhia's. Allan is my friend since 1997 (college), and I could not say no when they asked me to be a part of their entourage. It might be a bit odd, esp. since I came from an all-girls school in HS, that majority of my close friends in college are all boys - Johnston, Allan, Jp, Gil, Adrian, Oscar and Jon.

Here are some pics from the wedding:

My Twilight addiction

It all started last November 21st - after watching the Twilight movie, I have been doing some bookstore hopping to find all four books. Being a self-confessed-hopeless-romantic, seeing the movie made me crave for more. I wanted to know what were not included in the film, what will happen in the next books, how it will all end... thus, the search for the twilight saga began.

Luckily, Jp was able to bring their car and take around the malls in Manila. We spent the whole day looking for books - from National Bookstore in Quezon Avenue, SM Sta. Mesa, Acropolis, Greenhills, SM San Lazaro, Trinoma, Recto and Sta. Cruz; to Fully Booked in Promenade, and Powerbooks in Trinoma. It was a bit frustrating - but luckily after several trips to the bookstores, I was able to complete all 4 books. :)

I finished all 4 books in a week - and I am still hoping for a 5th book. But I doubt that would happen even if I write an appeal to Stephanie Meyer. haha :( I am now reading her supposed 5th book - Midnight Sun - it's Edward's version of Twilight. It only has the first 6 chapters as it leaked out in the internet, and Stephanie finally just decided to post it in her site.

So how addicted am I?
1) I have the Twilight Soundtrack that I always play in Jp's car
2) I have the entire album in my cellphone as well, with the song "Spotlight by mutemath" my phone's alarm tone.
3) For a time, I had Edward and Bella's picture as my phone's wallpaper.
4) I spent weekends reading the book - the only time that I chose not to leave our house. During the time that I had to leave (like go to the dentist), I would hurry back home so that I could continue reading.
5) I spent several hours during our Christmas Party (with my High School friends) giving a summary of the 3 other books (New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking dawn) - they asked for it hahaha.

Christmasquerade
It's the time of the year - while people are busy with shopping, putting up their christmas decors, wrapping gifts - I am busy with work and our upcoming release. But I won't bore you with work stuff, this entry is about our project Xmas party. I barely noticed that it's almost Christmas already - my only reminder that it is coming up (aside from the visual reminders along Gilmore St. and Greenhills - my usual route going home from work) is the dance practices we've been having. Yes, DANCE PRACTICE! I don't know who came up with the idea - but someone thought of having the Team Leads and Management team members do a dance number as an intermission for the party. I am one of the crazy people who signed up. Why not?! It's my last Christmas party in the project and in the firm. Practices were held every evening Tuesdays and Thursdays, usually from 7 - 9pm. Most of the time the group is not complete due to conflicts with meetings (no surprise).

My nerves were acting up a bit earlier - aside from the fact that the last time I performed for an audience was more than 7yrs ago (as part of the New Hires Presentation for the firm), I am feeling a 'bit' pressured as the other performers at the back (including my Sr. Manager) would keep on reminding me that I should NOT miss a dance step as their performance depends on me (thanks guys!) hehehe.

Anyway, I survived the dance number. It went well and seems like I perform well with pressure. I did not miss a single step, and managed to smile thru the presentation. Whew! Dimples got it on video, and I still need to get a copy. (Jp has already seen the video though in Dimples' cam, and of course being my very own critic - he always had his comments on how I could have done better hahaha).

Here are some party pics:
My 'Immediate' Team [PS HRHD - Ralph, Dimples, May, Kristian and Bien (not in the picture)]

The Team Leads of my non-PS Team [Non-PS Leads - Shirley, Vincent, Leah and Furness]

Management Team [Anna, Nepp, Jack, Crisel, Angie, Pat, Cel, Jeff and Tina]

Outdated
Yes, my blog is. I haven't had the chance to catch up and update my blog with the things that have been happening lately. There are just soooo many things going on right now, that at times I'd rather not open my laptop when I get home. On top of that, I have been having problems uploading pictures in blogger - will try multiply next time.

Anyway, so what are the things I have missed to add here:

October
*Day 2,3 and 4 of our HK trip
*Our Project's Halloween Party

November
*Grouchy's Bridal Shower
*Grouchy's Wedding
*Reunion with Jannet
*Twilight Movie Night with Jp and my fascination (addiction) to the twilight saga)
*Christmas Party Dance Practices

Will try to catch up next time... I was hoping to blog some more (since Dec 1st is a holiday) but have to come work tomorrow. :(
