No Barriers

I seldom get the chance to talk to my friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on with my life... well, this is it. My online journal. Yah, another personal blog, just exactly what the world needs now. Let's be realistic, it's cheaper than overseas calls. Less tiring than novel-like emails.

What I want
I have been asking myself what I really want. I now know what I really want and I am really sure about what I intend to do with my life.

"I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly. I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Make a wish, take a chance,Make a change, and break away. Out of the darkness and into the sun. But I won't forget all the ones that I love. I'll take a risk, take a chance,Make a change, and break away"

I am sooo eager to start something new and make a big change.

"There's gotta be more to life...Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me. Cause the more that I'm...Trippin' out thinkin' there must be more to life...Well it's life, but I'm sure... There's gotta be more"

Can't wait... I am very excited and I am looking forward for the day I take the next big step (to stardom? hehehe) :-)

My new teammates
It's been a month since I moved out of Cybergate. It wasn't hard to get along with the new paople I met in my new project. They were all very friendly, and I just couldn't help myself but like them all. At first I wanted stay distant, and didn't want to get too attached to them, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to gain a few more friends. :)

Unfortunately, for some strange reason, I can't seem to successfully upload any pics. :( Oh well, will try again later.

Loan - Extended!
No, i am not referring to any personal, house or car loan... I am referring to my current status in terms of my project deployment. I am ON-LOAN. I have been loaned out to another project (still for the company I have been working for). Supposedly, I am "locked" (soft/hard, whatever other term they want to add to that) for a project, also for Siebel work, but it has been pushed & delayed several times so they - (mis)Management decided to have me loaned out to PSE Tower 1.

July 13 - August 25 - the start and end dates in my deployment letter. But just the other day, I finally got the confirmation from our lead that I have been extended. Got a message in AOL from my current project's group lead that I have been extended until Dec 2006.

Revisiting my plans
When I was in college, I was sooo eager to graduate, work, and get the experience I need to be able to go places... There was one country that I have always 'planned' to stay and live. Why did I choose that country? I would say one of my biggest influence were my cousins who are already there. Whenever they would come back here in Manila they would always ask me why I haven't applied yet.. I have heard so many great things about it from them. Aside from that, some of my aunts lived & worked there when I was young, and I guess their stories and how they hoped to go back there inspired me a lot. My dad have always wished to go there.. why? he just wants to go fishing. :-) hehe

Every year after I graduated, I would visit the site and check on the requirements. I would get copies of the forms and details on what I need, but later on seem to forget about it and put it aside. There had been several things I needed to do before I could really pursue my dream -- get enough work experience (done), have our house renovated (done) and save up for my plan (almost done). Hmmmm.... ;-)

I am getting excited with all the planning. I really hope that all my planning turns to reality. My mom and dad are already excited and hopes things do push through. We have already talked about it, and they are fine with the idea of me leaving them behind for some time. Jp and I have also talked about it and he is also excited for me. He is about to graduate again (1st from BS Math CS and now Nursing) and I don't think it will be hard for him to follow me wherever I go. :) Time to start planning, packing and head down under.
