I seldom get the chance to talk to my friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on with my life...
well, this is it. My online journal. Yah, another personal blog, just exactly what the world needs now. Let's be realistic, it's cheaper than overseas calls. Less tiring than novel-like emails.

My first day. Coming to work following a different route after 5 years is not easy, especially if I compare the convinience of riding fx/shuttles every workday to and from the office. This day marks the start of my daily struggle to commute and transfer from 3 different vehicles to get to the office.
First, I need to take the jeep from our place to Espana. Then from there, I can either ride another jeep or fx/shuttle to MRT-Quezon Ave Station. From there, I have to take the train (MRT), to Boni Ave.
I then need to walk from the Boni Station to "the" building. Everyday, I get free "powder" from the construction of the building right beside our office. Haaay. :(
I am already starting to miss Makati and the 6750 Building. :(
Nina has been my bestfriend since Grade 3. Yup, 16 years have passed and I feel so lucky to have a great friend like her. She is getting married to her first (and only) boyfriend of 7 years. And today, the much awaited Bridal shower, that I helped organize is about to happen.
We started the night by heading to Music 21. Our other 'ka-barkada' from High School and Nina's sister joined us while we sang our hearts out... trying so hard to let the rain pour down. Hehehe... After everyone has rendered their heartfelt song numbers, we started the gift giving. Everyone brought their little token/gifts that our dear friend would need for their first night. :) It was soooo fun. Seeing all their reactions while each person explained the gift they bought and how they bought. Yup, it was not easy. Since some of my friends are still single (since birth), it was a bit awkward to buy those stuff. Hehe.. Like one my friends bought a sex book (with all the pictures and instructions on how to do the different positions), she was sooo ashamed that she had to carry the book and wait in line esp. with an old lady waiting in line behind her. Ha-ha-ha. :) Some gave G-string, thongs, lingerie and KY Jelly. And my gift? How can I explain it here? It was called "Lord of the Rings 2". According to the instructions in the box, it is something that her husband needs to put on... Ok? Not clear? Just go look for it in Greenhills. :) (Special thanks to Pat and Jp for helping me look for that crazy gift).
After the laughing and gift-giving, it was time for the real deal. The last stop for our party... the name of the bar is Gigolo. (Sorry, I don't have pictures from that place haha... not allowed). When we arrived there, we were all giggling and pushing each other to enter the place, as if we were entering a horror house. It was sooo comforting to hear from the bouncer that there were also other women inside the bar. Whew! :) It was our first time to enter a bar like that... When we got in, we immediately noticed the sofa bed. Yup, all the guests were seated in a sofa. Maybe because they want us to focus on the show?!? It wasn't easy watching the performers on the stage strip off their clothes. Oh my! I think during the first 15 minutes that we were in there, my attention was just in my cellphone...texting my friends and Jp. My friends and I, esp. the bride, were just teasing each other. I guess it will never be easy to feel at ease with what is happening on that stage. But it did help that we were just critizing the way the guys danced and their boots. Yup.. it was funny that almost all of them were wearing boots. And there was one point that it was the only thing left...I think.(?) We left after that. I don't think we'd last any longer... Hehe. :)
For our last day in Baguio, the 3 of us went to La Trinidad, Benguet. Famous for the strawberry farm, we were lucky that strawberries were in season. (Just love strawberries. My 2nd favorite fruit next to pomelos.) There were a lot of people picking strawberries and vegetables. I was planning to pick strawberries and pay for what I have picked, but just ended up eating the ones that are already sold per kilo. :) Why? Don't want to get burned by the heat of the sun. hehehe
As expected, my mom bought kilos (and kilos and kilos...) of broccoli, string beans, young corn and all the other vegetables she will need to cook Chopseuy and Beef with Brocolli when we get back to Manila.
Finally, after all that shopping, we packed our stuff and headed back to Manila.
Day 3 of our Baguio family adventure.I have already planned for the places we are going to visit this day. I told my mom and dad that there will be a lot of walking and picture taking today, so we got ready, had a heavy breakfast and headed out.
First stop, the Baguio Cathedral. Offered a few prayers, and thanked God for the day. Being with my mom and dad today is truly a blessing. :)
We then headed to the Botanical Garden. Both my parents are fond of gardening, if you could only see our house, there are a lot of flowering plants in front of our house. :)
After the Botanical Garden, we went to the Wright Park. From the wright park, there was a path (or should I say stairs) leading to The Mansion. I tried counting the steps, but lost count after several stops to catch my breath. Whew. Finally, we reached the top and got to The Mansion. Our Last stop was Camp John Hay. We didn't spend a lot of time there, just looked around, enjoyed the cool breeze, took some pictures and then headed back to the inn. :)
I woke up at 7am today. Wow... I slept for more than 11hours. ;)
We had breakfast at the hotel and then went back to our rooms to pack. Nope, we weren't going home yet, we just decided that the hotel where we were staying is quite far from the major establishments.. ok ok, I am just referring to SM. I really prefer staying near the mall. Well, I guess you already know that, that is my favorite past time. (When I was still in the 6750 Building in Makati, my teammates and I would go down during lunch just to stroll in the mall and buy some dessert.)
We transferred to the Baden Powell Inn - located in Gov. Pack Road near Session Road, jus beside SM Baguio. :) Yey! I really liked staying there (It was my 2nd time to stay there) because it was situated near the mall, hospital, church, restaurants and banks. :)
So, as you would expect... We still went to SM today. Had lunch in SM and then when to Mines View Park.
We headed back to the Inn after shopping for goodies & souvenirs in Mines View. My mom and I just rested for a few minutes and then went again to SM. :) Yup, just strolling around, drinking a fruit shake and taking some pictures.
Finally, half a decade later, I was able to take a long break from work... (this has been the longest VL I have taken - 4 days! yey!). I have already been planning for this day... and luckily it did push through.
I spent the 4 days with my family. Yup, just the 3 of us... we all went to Baguio. We left home at 5:30am and took the 7am trip to our country's summer capital.
We arrived there at 2pm and went straight to the hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Supreme, which was located in Magsaysay Ave. After having our late lunch (we did have 3 stopovers and had some snacks, but I still felt hungry.. no wonder I am getting fat haha), we went to busiest street in baguio - Session Road. Despite being a weekday, there were still a lot of tourists and Manilenos. We then went to SM Baguio and Burham park. We just took some pictures in the park... and headed straight to Starbucks in SM Baguio. Around 6pm, we went back to the hotel... we got so tired from the trip that I wasn't even able to watch Charmed (@Star World, every 8pm) as I already fell asleep while waiting. :)
