hi. today i went to jurong point to pick my mom's letters. they recently opened a new extension. it's crazy big. and today's sunday so the crowd's really shitty. i have two major complaints on singapore these days (lol): it's getting real crowded. with population increase like this, someone's got to channel all the people to different areas probably? the second one is the new buses with less seats. well i guess the two are linked. pardon me for my grumbles.

but anyhow. what i wanted to talk about is this consumerism! on a good note, i don't think singapore's getting a recession yet. you'd think that when you walk in town, but in jurong point! there are new shops selling totally "useless" things that fuel this consumerism and this "need" to keep buying stuff. i mean shops like "stationery island" and "ideas inc" i do enjoy looking through nice, interesting stuffs. (and i buy them sometimes). but still i wonder, aren't we getting really too deep into this materialism? i don't have a solution. i don't even have opinions. i just felt this.. overwhelming rush of consumption there. and then while i was picking up those letters a cleaning aunty was complaining to her friend about how much junk there is to clear everyday. but ya no wonder.

must agree with you on that. it is disturbing. it's not the religion, though. it's the action. one time this person tried to convert me, i said i'm buddhist, and she said, "it's ok. i understand you have your religion.. but, ..." and continued pushing her point. so obviously she didn't understand.

but anyway. you sounded really annoyed. lol. why don't you drop a comment at the school's office or something?

Annoying Overzealous Christians

Proselytising is something that's really common in Ngee Ann and I have been approached by Christians trying to get me to convert my religion over 15 times over the course of the 2+ years I've spent here.

I know they mean well, and most of them just want to share the merits of their faith but all of the people I've come across have been really pushy and inconsiderate.

It gets pretty annoying listening about how non-christians will be condemned to hell etc etc for the 15th time. In every speech I get this feeling that they're indirectly telling me about how much better their religion is compared to mine, and so I should therefore switch. When I mention that I'm actually a Roman Catholic all of them started drawing comparisons between the two and went about promoting their differences and subtely hint at how Christianity is better. After the inevitable 15 minutes of yak-yak-yaking it would mostly end with a statement of how I should save myself from hell by going to their church.

Every religious sermon I had to sit through lasted at least 15 minutes. The last one I was put through today (they originally asked me to fill in a survey and I agreed thinking it was for their IS module) lasted half an hour even though it supposedly would "only take abit of your time".

The length of it isn't really what bothers me though. What really gets to me is how no one actually listens to what I have to say and just push their beliefs over intrusively and babble on about the same issues I've heard dozens of times before. In the instances where I've said I was in a hurry, that I wasn't interested etc, not once did any of them stop and leave. Without fail, they'd give the "it'll only take a moment" reply. What the #)#$ ?

The only time I've managed to get away from a religious touting session was when I literally ran off after saying I was busy. These people do not take "no" for an answer.

These overzealous Christians come across TO ME as threatening and ignorant and boy I hope my school does something to stop such harrasments from happening all over campus.

This may come off as a rude blog post bashing Christians but I'm actually really cool with normal Christians that don't go about proselytising forcefully. So Christians reading this please don't take offense lol.

Thoughts? Anyone?

Help Needed for housing cleaning

Hey gals, I actually wanted to post this last week when i read the news article but didnt..

Ok, this is the story:

An ailing 80++ old man living in kg bahru i think, is hoping for someone to clean up his house. He is a lonely man who has neither kin nor people he can depend on apart from some welfare staff who comes once in a while to deliver food stuff to him. He NEEDS to clean up his house coz his neighbors have made complaints about bed bugs (from the old man's unit) invading their houses. But thats not the key reason why we should help. Truth is, the old man is not spared from the bugs either. Hes suffering badly from some skin allergy that is apparently caused by the bites. His pillow has even turned black. (yes, it was really black from the photo shown on the article). The reporter actually asked him why didnt he clean up the house and he said he doesnt have the strength to do so. He is desperately wishing for someone to render help.

So if anyone is interested to help in any way, i will dig out the article and email the reporter to see if we can arrange to help this pathetic old man. But of coz, volunteers needs to be:

1) not scare of dirtiness
2) not afraid of bugs
3) able to chip in little cash (to get him some necessities)

updates: found the article already so am able to contact the reporter anytime but will most probably send the email on tue ^^

Needless to say the people sitting around me thought I was losing it.

So here goes~

5. Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery?
6. Why the man who invests all your money called a broker?
7. If horrific means to make horrible, does terrific mean to make terrible?
8. Why is it called building when it is already built?
9. If a book about failures doesn't sell, is it a success?
10. If you're not supposed to drink and drive, then why do Bars have parking lots?

thanks a lot. that really helped. hope he doesn't reject the proposal though.

unfortunately, the only model i can find on the web with specifications (in SI) is this fugly one. even the photo is saved under the name 'blob'. -.- come to think of it, it's not exactly ugly, but the floor!! and the photo quality and the lighting! omg. i was forced to convert it to grayscale before i inserted it into my document.

Fencing Part I

With swimming taking a lot of limelight recently (because of none other than the phenomenal Phelps), I figured I could shift some of your attention to my favourite sport Fencing:) I am quite ashamed to say that even as a fencer, I haven't been following the sport at the Olympics closely though I have valid reasons for that - I am completely clueless about the fencing events' schedules, and competitive fencing is incredibly difficult to watch and understand for non-fencers and noobs (me belonging to the latter). And of course, there isn't an equivalent of Phelps in fencing yet that makes it so worth watching.

Ok, so to let you guys understand more about fencing, I've decided to dedicate this post to the sport to inform you all of what the sport is really about. Then, if you all decide fencing is cool enough, you can all join me!

Modern Fencing

Many people who have not had any exposure to fencing do not realise that the sport is divided into 3 types of weapon, with each category of weapon governed by its own unique rules, methods of bladework and footwork. The 3 weapons are namely Épeé, Foil and Sabre (or as the Americans would have it, Saber). Typically a fencer will specialise in one of these weapons; you wouldn't expect him or her to fence all three. I'm currently learning the ways of Sabre.(a completely arbitrary choice btw)From top to bottom: Sabre, foil & epee
Source: http://visual.merriam-webster.com/images/sports-games/combat-sports/fencing/fencing-weapons_1.jpg

Types of attacks & target areas

Sabre differs mainly from the other 2 weapons in that having calvary origins, it employs slashes on its opponent instead of jabs, as in foil and epee.

In the past, the calvary (troops) fought on horsebacks and they attacked only their opponents while refraining from killing their opponents' horses (yes, apparently they extend their humanity to horses but not humans); in modern sabre fencing, the valid target area is anywhere from the waist up (ie torso and head).

While the type of attacks is the same for epee and foil, their target areas are different. A foil fencer will only score on the torso area whereas for epee, any attack along the whole body (feet, legs, torso and head) is a legitimate attack.

Rules

Have you ever watched a match where two fencers apparently score, but only one of them gets a point? Generally, a fencer can score with an attack but not a counter attack. Rules, known as right-of-way rules and applicable to Sabre and Foil (Epee are free of these rules), are kept in place to determine who has executed an attack and who a counter attack. So basically, right-of-way rules determine which fencer has the right of way to attack and score.

Ok, I'll stop here for now. Will continue on the subject some other time.

Unstoppable.

Michael Phelps has just added another Gold and world record to his list of achievements at the olympics. The latest one comes from the 4x200m freestyle relay, with phelps giving his team a clear and comfortable advantage from the start. Of course, the other team members swam well too. US finished first with a record score of 6:58:56, the first team ever to go under 7 minutes.
why does everyone notice the guy running around the stadium? haha i guess i was too preoccupied with the "bigger" things, like the fireworks and the canvas (the one that acted as a scroll). while i didnt particularly enjoy it, the scale of the show was laudable.

oh, and if you guys have too much time on your hands, you can watch the athens olympics opening ceremony here. it's pretty cool.

as i am typing this, michael phelps (of US swimming) is receiving his FOURTH GOLD MEDAL, has achieved his 4TH WORLD RECORD in this olympics, and I'll be hearing for the millionth time *"The Star Spangled Banner". (when will we ever hear Majulah Singapura at the olympics???)

Really, it's incredible. Phelps is incredible.

*the US national anthem.

:o

:o machines! Hearing that word reminds me of the Terminator lol.

On to the Olympics... Did everyone watch the opening ceremony? I think the drum/lights display and the multi layered box performance was awesome!

Oh and the guy which ran across the entire stadium while hanging on strings...wow I bet his legs felt really sore halfway through :p

okay. i have a possible explanation to offer on the issue of blog activity (at least on my part). the reason the graph is such, is that i constitute 1/5 or 20% (whoo!! imagine..) of the bloggers on this blog. so my posts COUNT. lol. anyway.. i post an entry here only when i see that somebody else has updated and that means there's someone reading. because.. otherwise i'll be posting for nothing. and i know when the blog is most recently updated cos i monitor my other blog. so that explains 20% of the posts here.

anyhow. i had studio workshop session today. it's like getting re-acquainted with D&T. what a shit. i can foresee many problems. i always had problems with these tools and machines. just an intro to these machines took 2 hrs and 15 mins.

And so it begins...

Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

Oh my gosh.

An observation...

Friday, July 25, 2008

why do i feel like NOT watching after reading that review?? lol. if anything, i like brainless movies (as long as they're not corny or "plotless" or ridiculously far-fetched). but ok i may watch. does it matter much that i haven't watched any batman show or read the comic? i don't even know what weapon batman uses or what he does at all lol. btw does the discounted price hold for the tertiary student card? oh i'm so stupid i gave my old ezlink up :(

let's meet up someday dudes. i haven't seen you guys in ages. haha.

Movie review (and analysis)!

I watched The Dark Knight today. This being Heath Ledger's swan song in Hollywood, I thought I didn't want to miss it on the big screen.

First off, let me commit a major trangression of film review and quantify the movie's (perceived) value - 3.5/5. Why 3.5/5? I don't know really. It just feels like it.

Anyway let me move on to a more qualitative assessment of this show.

I like TDK because it's got brains. It is thought provoking in so many ways. The nature of an action hero film like this is such that you're presented with opportunities to explore a myriad of themes. Heroism is in itself a theme that's explored in TDK. Who is a hero? Is Batman one? And then you're faced with the multiple facets of Batman's situation; Batman's role in society, making major choices for his city, is sometimes appreciated but at other times, loathed.

Morality is also a theme that permeates the show. Can we all agree on what is moral? Obviously not, as seen from the many moral controversies that have arisen in the world today. The inability to converge in our moral understandings is a reason why Batman's role as a hero can be disputed. His choice of action is more often than not questionable. And if morality is not universal, then what can be said of it? Someone in the movie says "the only justice in an unfair world is chance" (or something like that) which suggests morality may not even exist after all.

TDK also does not fail to provide the audience with insights of the characters. I am particularly fascinated by the Joker himself. Why does his do what he does? Can his cruelty be justified? Bruce Wayne's butler, assistant and confidante says the following which is very telling of the Joker:

"...Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."

One of the plus points of this movie is that it spews forth many brilliant dialogues, many of them coming from the antagonist, the Joker. Here are a few:

Joker: This town deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to them.

And this is funny:

Batman: Let her go.
The Joker: Hmm.. Very poor choice of words.

Haha.

The only thing I didnt really like about this show is that it's too long. Being lengthy is not a bad thing per se. But when you begin to feel it, then you know the show has lost you somewhere. I guess that's why I'm giving TDK only 3.5 out of 5.

Ok i'll stop spoiling it for those of you who havent caught the movie yet. Do catch it when u can! Oh and I'd recommend u to watch it on weekdays, before 5pm. And bring your student card along with you, so u can enjoy $6 movie tickets. Anywhere, cathay, gv, eng wah, shaw..you name it.

Oh looks like I've missed out on some camp fun! Maybe I really should take part in the USP camp after all.

Anyway last night was one of the most intense nights I've had, in part due to the final showdown between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal at the Wimbledon men's singles final, and in part due to the stomachaches that made me rush to the toilet for more times than I care to count. Actually I did count. I went to the toilet like 5 times the whole night! Thanks to some hawker food I had eaten hours earlier I believe.

Anyway the rain in London suspended the match at the 3rd set, which was both an annoyance and relief. The match was stopped indefinitely and I was wondering if I should stay up til it resumed. But I was also hoping the sudden intermission would allow Fed to come back stronger and break Nadal's lead in the first 2 sets. Don't know why I've suddenly become a Fed supporter. Probably because he just endears to me more than Nadal. I heard the crowd cheering for Nadal most of the time though. But this was probably because everyone wanted to see different 'hero' emerge this time. Fed winning Wimbledon for the sixth consecutive time wouldn't be as sensational as Nadal upsetting him for the first time at the Wimbledon finals.

Anyway I missed the match when it resumed only to find out much to my disappointment this morning that Nadal had claimed victory. But then again having watched him play, I have to admit he is a worthy winner. But, you know what, as Federer said at the end of the day, he would be back next year.

Oh, and the cap Roger Federer's wearing is so cool! :

So I did some research and this is the cap:

That is such a cool monogram isn't it? Anyway inspired by Roger Fed's monogram, I've come up with one for myself (heheh):

Can you see my initials in it?? Of course it ain't as cool as the RF monogram, but hey I still quite like it:D

That's all folks:)

camp

hey everyone!
i'm back from the psychology camp after spending 4 days and 3 nights there. In all,i think it was pretty well organised. The camp comittee was quite efficient,so we didn't have to wait long in between the actitvities.Haha and i must say that everyone was quite enthu about the activities. There was a lot of running around and cheering to be done, especially under the sun.I was trying hard to remain enthu, but for someone like me who gets tired easily,it was certainly quite difficult:p

And we were split into clans,my clan was called james bond(dunno how the camp committee came up with such a random name). There were in total 6 clans.Haha and in total there were only abt 7 guy freshmen in the whole camp. Then on the first day i was pleasantly surprised when i found out that everyone would have their own room. But i was feeling quite lonely at night. It feels weird to sleep alone, especially in a foreign place.I couldn't sleep well on the first night,i think i slept for only abt an hour plus.On the first night there was an activity which was abt walking in a ghosthouse, looking for spirits and completing tasks given to us.We had to go separately in pairs. So i went with a girl into a really dark corridor with many doors.I dunno why i was so scared, but i guess i just couldn't stand the idea that a 'ghost' may just pop up suddenly,or someone may just grab me from behind anytime.Haha i can't stand that kind of shocks, esp in a pitch dark place. We had quite a scare there(tell u all the details when we meet:p).My hands were trembling after that, haha didn't know i was so timid:p

Oh and there was an activity which i can vividly remember. We were playing the amazing race, then at 1 of the stations the task was that all of us(there were abt 6 of us) had to finish a plate of nasi lemak tgt.And we couldn't use utensils,we had to use our hands, and we couldn't feed ourselves,we had to feed one another.Oh and in order to win more points guys can only feed girls, and vice versa. The funny thing was that our group had only 1 guy,so all of us were stuffing that poor guy with food, and he had to feed us too.So he had to chew non-stop.It was really quite disgusting, bcos we had to eat the chilli sauce too,so we had to mix the rice with the chilli sauce, all done using our hands.I felt like throwing up when i had my first mouth of rice.So after that our faces were all smeared with chilli sauce and rice, super disgusting.

Oh haha and i must boast abt this:pOur group won the best clan award!:p,even though we had the least no. of ppl, bcos some had to leave halfway.I guess i owe it to my really enthu clan members.

Haha so that was some of the things we did.It was quite tiring for me,my whole body was and is still aching..haha so im glad to be back!

hello all. hope everything's fine. congrats again to callista for the successful appeal. yes callista, agencies are pretty unreliable, you actually have to do most work yourself. anyway, have two worries on my mind.

1. i'm afraid i'll miss some deadline or another, being unable to receive and go through all these uni letters personally. hopefully not, though. has the registration period started?

2. i'm currently trying hard to persuade my parents to let me stay in the uni hostel. i've asked my brother to intercede on my behalf since they refused to talk to me about it.

well other than that, i'm fine. my course is coming to an end. one more week. i'm kind of sad about it. i think i've learnt quite a lot, though. we're doing a lot of grammar these days. my favourite. yea. but kind of challenging, too.

btw if you guys have time, listen to this piece 'Ballade no. 2 in B minor' by Liszt. it's wonderful.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

hey peeps! first off, congrats amenda for nearing the end of your job stint or in other words your liberation:P today i have 3 things to blog abt haha

Exploited
...at the place where i volunteer to teach. even though it is at my own will that i volunteer, im beginning to feel i have been exploited as cheap or rather free labour. i've just received my new teaching schedule and i can't believe i have been given 11 classes a week. given that im committing 3 days a week, that works out to be abt 4 classes each day - almost w/o any break in between save for a 45 min lunch (which i believe is a right). even though i really don't mind teaching, im beginning to suspect if they have used my services too liberally.

first of all, 3-4 classes a day - am i as good as a full time teacher there or what? in fact, im not even sure any teacher actually teaches that many classes a day considering the length of a school day there is pretty short, and each lesson is pretty long.

also i can't understand why i have been given an additional subject to teach (geog). for a brief period of time, amanda taught this subject and i know now that she isn't available to do so, they need a replacement. but why me? surely there must have been someone who taught before amanda right? so why can't they revert back to that arrangement? i am inclined to think the teachers have been given a much lighter workload at the expense of volunteers (in particular, me).

i know complaining abt the work has no place in volunteerism. but i just find it ridiculous that this certain establishment has to rely so much on volunteers

Bad Service
long time ago (immediately after the release of the A level results), i went to apply for a few australian universities (unsw, uwa, uni of adelaide). at that time i was told all application fees will be waived by the agency, and i only had to pay for certain aptitude tests that were required by 2 of the unis (namely uwa and u of a). so i paid to sit for uwa's test, the ISAT, in april, as soon as i could. it says on the ISAT website that results will automatically be sent to the relevant universit(ies) that we have indicated we are interested in when we applied for the test. i got my results in may, thinking that my application would automatically be advanced. meanwhile i thought the agency would ring me up regarding payment of university of adelaide's test closer to the medicine deadline. but this was not the case as i have just found out.

as the deadline for medicine applications across aus approached (june30), i got worried so i rang the agency and enquired abt my applications. it was only then that i found out i was expected to
go down personally to the agency to make payments for both uni of adelaide's test (known as the PQA) and the application fees (whatever happened to the waiver?). so anyway i decided to just pay as soon as possible which i did the very next day.

at the agency, i also asked abt my uwa application. one of the staff told me to email my ISAT results to my agent (who was not present then) who could then forward it to uwa. i was puzzled because recall that on the isat website, results will AUTOMATICALLY be forwarded to the relevant unis) i decided to talk to my agent personally via email so i left the place w/o probing further. the staff didnt seem to know the procedure very well anyway.

so as i am typing this, i have just received an email from my agent that to proceed with my uwa application, i am to make payment once more for the application fees for uwa (this is another AUD100, and another failure to fulfil their promise of a waiver at the very beginning).

but whatever. lesson learnt is dun be over reliant on agencies like this.

On a happier note
appeal to nus fass successful:) Praise the Lord!

oh no...

hey everyone,
This is bad...just when i thought that today would be my last day at work, they asked me to extend my work period to the end of june. It's only 2 more weeks, they say.And they still have quite a lot of unfinished work.So they kept on persuading me,and i found it really difficult to reject.I think the atmosphere would have been quite awkward if i had said no.In the end i agreed to stay for a week more...It's not too bad i guess,at least 1 week is better than 2...

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

in case everyone's thinking i'm holiday-ing, i'm not. yet. i have classes. it's from 8.15 to 12.45 daily. so it's about 4 hrs. that's not much longer than my classes in GI singapore. but the daily thing.. yes it's quite a lot. and i have homework everyday. that's hard for someone who never did her weekly homework.

today was market day. the market days in this town are wednesdays and saturdays. so the teacher made us go to the market and interview people about their diet, health, organic and GM food, etc. i bought a small pot of mini blue-violet-ish flowers :) cos i have practically no friend here so i want SOMETHING to talk to. lol. nah i just like flowers a lot. i'm not good at this, though, i don't have green fingers [remember in sec2 i was the rep and all the plants freaking ROTTED?? not really. they just attracted a lot of ants and didn't grow :( ] so i hope this one has a better fate. it's called Lobelia. i didn't name it. lol. i mean that is the genus. i researched a bit on wikipedia and found out its english names include Asthma weed, Pukeweed and Vomitwort. some names.

Cats and holidays

Hey everyone!

I think the concert is too expensive for me. :P
Hope you guys enjoy your time there! It looks interesting.

I'm so envious of you Florencia...I don't get any holidays till December :(
Good food, cool weather, a stay with a cute cat and conversations with a WWII senior! Sounds like an awesome holiday!

Speaking of cats...I've been thinking about getting a pet cat recently. A brown one which would sit on my lap while I play computer games and scatch my chair while I read books. And maybe I could even condition it to come to me whenever I ring a bell or something.

However, my mum hates cats, so I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon. She did mention that if I quit World of Warcraft she would get one for me though. But thats not going to happen anytime soon either! So I guess I'll stick to playing with virtual pets and monsters for now. It is cheaper anyway...

I'm blogging from work as usual, so I guess I'll go back to slacking now.

yo flo! while im sitting where im seated typing this (hence eating into my bedtime), you've probably just had your dinner or having your dinner or going to have your dinner. hope Deutschland's (pronounced doitchlarnd?) treating you well.

moving on, is anyone who'll be in Singapore on the 28th of June interested in catching a dance performance at the esplanade? details are below:

Here's the synopsis from SISTIC:

"B-BOYZ & BALLERINA (KOREA)

Pulsate to the energetic and high-octane performance by B-Boys Theatre, one of Korea’s world renowned leading new wave hip-hop dance theatre. Formerly known as ‘The Ballerina who loves a B-boy’ and now renamed, ‘B-Boyz & Ballerina’, the performance shows how a ballerina assimilates to street dancing after she falls in love with a b-boy.

Feel the exuberance of the energetic 19 b-boys and b-girls and cheer them on in their frenzied, skilful freestyling displays of hip-hopping and break-dancing. Join in this hyper rousing dance fiesta where you will be spell-bound by the Technicolour street fashions, joyous soundtrack and the gravity-defying floor routines of windmills, L-kicks and more.

A sell-out show in Korea and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, it will tour America, Japan, China and Spain after Singapore. Be part of this international sensation which promises a truly entertaining experience not only for the youth but also for the whole family!
"

So far, apart from me, laiyeng & amenda have expressed keenness. We're looking at the matinee show (3pm) and at the discounted $58.50 ticket for group purchase (min 4 ppl). So do inform me if you're interested so I can go get tix ASAP before they run out!

i actually had lots of things in mind to blog about initially but alas memory fails me (as it always does).

ciao for now.

ps: i actually intended that sell your GC blog to be an avenue where jc graduands and jc students-would-be could buy and sell their calculators. but figured a blog is not an appropriate medium so i discarded the idea altogether. trying to be entrepreneurial here

thank you. wait. btw, callista? you have a blog called "sell your graphic calculators"?? that reminds me mine is lying around useless too.. should've taken out the batteries, i kept forgetting.

i've finally reached. for the moment i'm staying with my aunt and uncle in this village called Wemmetsweiler in the province of Saarland. It was about 1.5 hours' drive away from Frankfurt. (if you drive at 110 km/hr, which my aunt did). weather's too cold for me most of the time, though the sun's pretty strong. it's not that cold. but it's a mountainous region, so yeah maybe something like our sec3 efl.

i have terrible feeling i'm gonna gain weight. i mean, honestly i've been eating a lot. oh and i'm eating meat. today my cousin's ex-babysitter came to cook for me (to babysit me? haha). she cooked this asparagus thing with potato and a flat sausage (it tastes like sausage but it comes in flat slices). food's really good. which is kind of bad for people like me who gain weight easily. yeah then she talked a lot about how her cellar got flooded (apparently it stormed ytd, i was too soundly asleep to notice), and other things. i didn't understand 60% of her sentences, so i decided to just smile and nod my head furiously and occasionally ask pertinent questions WHEN I DO understand. haha so it appeared like my german was not bad. she's 85 and she's even lived through wwII. and she's freaking healthy.

FACT1: they all drink sparkling water. i personally prefer normal water, that thing is too gassy for me.

this was 9.30 PM. we went for a walk near the forest after a heavy dinner.

3. Work is so boring I spend almost all my time taking typing speed tests (http://speedtest.10-fast-fingers.com/) , playing tic tac toe and scissors paper stone with the mousy and plucking out my "scales" one by one.
(My highest record so far is 80 WPM)

4. I want a holiday! :(

5. The food at Canteen B in NTU is absolutely terrible.

6. I like ice cream and chicken rice.

7. To those people who are leaving : Enjoy your holidays/ time spent studying there! Remember to bring souvenirs back when you come back :D

'Busy' at work

Hey ppl!
haha i have been busy slacking for the whole of this morning.Actually slacking can be quite tiring since i have to constantly look out for the manager or anyone who enters this small room.So i have to keep opening and closing the windows. Now im busy flipping the pages of the files, feeling like a robot.Luckily they are not old thick and dusty like the ones i checked previously.haha i suddenly have the urge to quit!Anyway i have already told them that i would be working until 15th june.just realised that i still have abt 1 month to go...

hey if u all know of any nice movies that i can watch online tell me k,so i can watch them during my free time:p ok i got to get back to work, can't wait to finish all these files so that i can get back to slacking.

oh no im so lazy:p

Don't die!

Don't let this blog die!

I'm gonna type in something random at work just to add an entry!

So I was wondering what BLOGS actually meant... and the first thing that came to my mind was

Big

Legs
Or
Giant
Shorts.

It doesn't really make sense but it sounded funny to me. :p

The "Big Legs" part probably stemmed from the group photo discussion in facebook lol.
