(This is a little graphic, but this is the only way I journal, so I want to be able to remember...Sorry) We had a little scare with our baby on Saturday night. I woke up around 2:00am and I was having a bad pain in my stomach. I got up to go to the bathroom, and had A LOT of pressure and my lower back and lower stomach were really tight. I got a little nervous, but decided to lay back down to see if the contractions would go away. Well, they just kept getting worse, so I woke Carl up. He gave me a blessing, and then we decided that it would probably be wise to go to the hospital. Carl stayed home with the kiddos while I went. When I got in there, they hooked me up to the machines and I was contracting every 2 1/2 minutes for a minute long at a time. The nurse seemed a little worried, and they hooked me up to the i.v. I am dialated to a 2-3 and about 70% effaced, and that is not great considering the fact that I was only 31 1/2 weeks along. They ended up givning me a shot in the back of my arm to stop the contractions, and I also got two steriod shots for the baby, and they gave me another pill that I have to take every six hours until the baby comes or until 36 weeks. I had to stay in the hospital all day sunday, and got released Monday morning. I am not on strict bedrest, but I have to "take it easy", and if I contract again, I will be put on bedrest. This little guy just wants to come and hang out with us I guess. I am REALLY excited for him to get here, BUT not this early!! It was scary!

Camping with the Defa's
We bought a trailer a few monthes ago, and it has been such a great little investment. It is not the most beautiful thing, but it keeps us out of the dirt, and away from bears! haha We have been camping a few times, but this time we went for two nights, and to such a great place. We went up to Yankee meadows by Parowan with the Defa's! It was so nice, only 75 to 80 degrees and in a perfect spot! We were close by a little lake, and had great food & company! We played a little baseball and frisbee. It was so much fun!

Carl's Biking Accident
So, Carl has been training to do a triathalon in September, so he has been riding his bike a lot. He rides with a bunch of different people, and on Monday, July 5th they decided to go for a 50 mile ride. James and Ana were up here with us, so Carl & James had been planning this big ride for a couple weeks. They woke up at 6am and left for the ride. Around 7:30am my phone rang, and I knew something was wrong. I answered, and it was Curtis telling me that Carl had wrecked. He was drafting behind James and got a little too close and his front tire caught James back tire. They were going about 26 miles an hour when he wrecked. His left side got pretty banged up! I went and picked him up at Sand Hollow, and we went to the instacare to get him checked out! He had to get a couple stitches in his elbow, and then just get the rest cleaned. We were at the instacare from 8:30am to about noon!!! It was a great thing that James and Ana were here, because they were able to be with our kids! (Carl is showing a lot of "skin" in these pics!)
All cleaned up!!
Poor Guy!

4th of July
This year we stayed in St. George for the 4th of July. It has been the first year we have stayed here since we moved here four years ago! It was fun...different...but fun. We got up early and went to the parade downtown, and then went to the little festivities in the park! The kids LOVED the parade and looked so cute in their little 4th of July outfits!
Later that night we went and parked on foremaster drive to watch the fireworks! My kids only last about 15 minutes, but they had fun with the sparklers! You can tell by Ella's face how tired they both were! Sooo cute!!

The Beach, Happiest Place on Earth & the zoo!
It has been FOREVER since I posted, and I have A LOT to blog about! In June we got to take a trip to California for a week! It was SO MUCH FUN!! The beach is one of our favorite places to go...so we were super excited for the trip! We went with James & Ana and their family, and stayed at Camp Pendleton. We stayed in these cute little cabins that were PERFECT! The kids had so much fun on the beach, just playing in the sand. It was a little chilly, but still so great and relaxing.
We decided Wednesday morning that we wanted to go to Disneyland for the day. James & Ana have a friend that works at Disneyland and he was able to get us in for FREE!! It was so nice! The kids had so much fun, and since we got in for free we didn't feel to much pressure to go on every single ride!
We had to check out of our place on Friday, but Carl and I weren't ready to go home yet. We decided to go to Cornado Island for the day.
After we were there for a few hours we thought it would be fun to go to the San Diego Zoo. The kids had fun there too! The zoo was huge! We walked a lot, but it the first time for both Carl and I so it was fun.
Our trip was great. We LOVE being with the Pemberton's! We really could do that trip over again! It was soooo wonderful!
