It's Almost Time!

A couple weeks ago we decided to make a chain to countdown the days until we go to Disneyland. Everyday we take a link off and count the remaining ones. I can't believe we are only down to 3!!! Here is Hayden counting the last of the links. We are so excited!

She is currently asleep, dreaming of Disneyland, like she has been doing for the last 3 months straight.
For real.

The Grass Is Always Greener...Pt. 2

We are now working on our backyard and were finally able to put sod down on our beautiful dirt! Of course it's still a work in progress and we have a long way to go until it's finished, but I am sooooo excited to have grass in the back yard. So excited!

(Don't mind the ugly empty lot next to us, in the background.)

Carl is so cute out there.

Carl and Hayden working hard getting the sod in place. I failed to get a picture, but Robyn also came by to help and help she did! Thanks Robyn! We also had some other neighbors who saw us and took pity on us and came to help too. It was so nice and we are sooo appreciative. Thanks to everyone!

Tada! We are planning to put some fruit trees in that back corner and of course straighten the border around the window well and place pavers down there. All in due time.
But for now it's water, water, and water some more until the grass is established and we can play on it.

Singing in the Rain and a New Haircut

I was LOVING the little thunderstorms we were getting for a while over here. It's one of my favorite things to be sitting at home and here some thunder and the rain start to pour down on the roof. So Hayden and I took advantage and went to play in it!

It was perfect :)

You know what else was perfect? Getting our hair cut. Hayden and I were both desperately in need of a haircut. And I mean desperately. So we finally got it done. (There will be no before and after shots of my hair. I have yet to get an after shot. Maybe someday.)

Check out how long Hayden's hair got.

Getting her hair washed. This was so fun to watch! :) She loved it!

When they were done cutting and styling, Jenn(the hair dresser) sprayed glitter in Hayden's hair. Seriously? Hayden was in heaven. Jenn was her new best friend. However, it was hard to get a good picture of the glitter, so you have to use your imagination. By the time I was done with my hair and we got home this was the best shot Hayd would give us of her newly styled hair. But you can get the point. I LOVED it.

Jenn did a great job on mine too! Way better than the stringy mess that it was, but once again, imaginations have to be used. Mainly I just cut off about 6 inches and cut my bangs again. AHHH it feels like I lost 10 lbs on my head. Very nice.
