Ahhhh, Kennewick. We love visiting you.
Have you ever had one of those trips where you can't seem to get enough pictures of everything and when it comes down to deciding what to post you can't decide so you put them all up? That's me. Hi, I'm Devin, and I am a mosaic junky. Oh well, at least I admit it. Moving on.
Again, Ahhhh Kennewick, we love visiting you, probably more than we should.
One of the main reasons we wanted to go up to Carl's hometown is to see family, of course. But the second main reason was to check out the Benton Franklin County Fair! Yee-haw! We were stoked about Hayden being able to see all the farm animals up close and personal, since those seem to be her favorite. But the excitement quickly turned to eyes rolling in the

back of our heads when Hayden wanted to walk over the little bridge of a duck pond for the 11th million time(as seen in the photo to the right-->), instead of wanting to pet the animals. We came to the realization that she is still fascinated with things like boxes and rocks more than actual toys and farm animals, but I think she still had a great time. I, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the animals. I should have been a veterinarian...

Now, you can't go to the fair and not get you some delicious, deep fried goodness! It is heavenly (and probably the best part)! All in all, it was a pretty successful trip to the County Fair.

We were able to spend some time with not only Carl's parents but also his sister and her family. I love when Hayden can play with cousins. We were also able to get some family pictures taken by the great Heather Lewis, but that will be on a whole separate blog, but I am so excited to see how they turn out. Anyway, here are some cute shots:

One thing we have really liked doing is going to the Farmers' Market, so off we went. The fresh produce and bread are to die for, and it's nice to just get out of the house and walk around these things. The people are super friendly and you can usually taste anything they are selling. Awesome.

On a list of 'things to do', Carl's dad had asked the boys to help trim down some branches from a huge tree in their front yard, so trim they did! They were all business and even little Brooks got in on the action and helped out. Way to go! Carl has a flesh wound to prove his hard work. What good little workers!

Some of my favorites, Hayden with her Great Grandma and Grandpa Kesler. Priceless, even though Hayden looks like she is having a bad day, which she was, but we won't get into that. I LOVE these pictures.

We absolutely love being with our families and we appreciate everything they do for us. Like I said, I would put even more pictures in here, I'm just that crazy. But I won't. Not now. Now, I think I might go take a nap. This mosaic stuff just wipes me out:)
p.s. I still haven't cut Hayden's hair, if you haven't noticed. The time just isn't right for me. Someday, though someday. Actually, I'm just praying the rest of her head catches up with the back then I won't have to worry about it!
