1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
Good times!!

Swimming
So, yea, it's almost August and we finally went swimming for the first time. First, I blame the fact that Hayden didn't have a swimsuit until 2 days ago, and second, I'll blame myself for being slow and not getting that said swimsuit until only two days ago. Either way, we finally went swimming and it was fun!

Hayden finally got the hang of it once she realized she wasn't just taking a bath in a really big tub, and she did have fun, even though most of the pictures would suggest otherwise.

See, she had so much fun that it wore her out!

Since our apartment has an indoor poor, there will be plenty more pool trips for the rest of the year. So what if we started late, we can go whenever we want! I can't wait.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Hayden has decided that since she hung out with her 9 month old cousin M, she needs to act like a 9 month old too! The day after we got back from Breckenridge, she started rolling from her back to her tummy, and now she won't stop. Cousin M is so cute and of course is already crawling, so I'm just waiting to see what other shenanigans Hayden can get into that she has learned from her more mature cousin. Haha just kidding, as much as I would like to keep Hayden a baby forever, I know she must grow up! Here's proof of our growing girl:
Grandma Camp East 2008
Well, there you have it. Grandma camp was a huge success and I am honestly sad that it is over. Carl's parents drove down from the great state of Washington and whisked me and Hayden away to the beautiful state of Colorado where we met with Laurel and her kids in Breckenridge to spend the week at Grandma Camp East! For those who don't know what Grandma camp is, Carl's mother has for the past few years, spent a week in the summer with all of her grandchildren. They usually would go to her house up in Kennewick and do all sorts of fun activities with Grandma and Grandpa. However, since there is a new grand baby being born every 3 months or so, and since everyone lives so far apart, it makes it a little more difficult to gather the kids at the same time and same place, so this year she split it up, so the Utah residents and Colorado residents got to spend it together in Breckenridge, a beautiful ski resort in the mountains of Colorado. It was so fun! Hayden got to spend time with her cousins and I really enjoyed spending time with my in-laws. It was a great trip.
Before we left for Colorado, Mom and Dad McCain stayed with us for a few days and we got to celebrate Dad M's birthday! It was great to be with them

Yea for Aunts and Cousins!

Some fun activities
Getting the "lay of the land"

Picnic at the Park(Hayden is down behind the table)

Swing Time

Owl pellets, anyone?

Paper Dolls made with the "cricut" and a play by Grandma and Cousin I

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa McCain!
We miss you two already! I am really grateful for such wonderful in-laws to take me and Hayden on such a wonderful trip to spend with our family.

We Miss You, Washington!
Here we are, safe and sound back in our home in......Utah???!!! That's right, after spending the week in near perfect weather(give or take a little rain here and there) and with excellent family, you could say I'm a little bitter to have to come back to the dry and hot state of Utah. I didn't even have to use any lotion while I was in Seattle with the humidity and cool weather and as soon as we pulled into Springville last night I couldn't get enough of it! Needless to say, we had a wonderful time, and if we had it our way right now, we would be living there in a heartbeat! I can't even imagine what it would be like to be so close to family all the time. Someday, someday.
This was our first big trip with Hayden out of Utah and I must say, she did pretty well. Going up was definitely better than coming back, but either way, it worked, and
we made it. She was a trooper, and I would do it again tomorrow....oh wait, I will be traveling again in a couple days with Hayden. Next stop, GRANDMA CAMP!!!!! We will be making a trip to Breckenridge, CO for a fun time with Grannie and Granpie McCain and Auntie Laurel, and the cousins!!!
Here are a couple of highlights from the trip to Seattle:
When traveling with an infant, it requires lots of stops. We enjoyed getting the blanket out and stretching our legs and just watching our silly baby

GO MARINERS!
On the 4th, Carl and I, along with Dad and Paul, went to a Mariners game, and they actually won! It was a fun game to watch...Thanks Dad!

Happy 4th!
What's a 4th of July without some fireworks? My parents' neighborhood had the best display of fireworks, so we didn't even have to go anywhere! The dogs didn't even get scared with all the booms and sweet Hayden slept the entire time! I couldn't believe it! And only in the Pacific Northwest can you wear long sleeves and still be a little chilly in the middle of summer, but it is awesome for fireworks!

Farmer's Market
One of our favorite things on this trip was going down to the Puyallup Farmer's Market. Why, you ask? It was just fun. We enjoyed the people and all the dogs and of course the different booths people had on display. The flowers are always beautiful and the food is always delicious.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Good Family and Friends
This is a sweet picture of Hayden and Great Grandma Kesler when we stopped in the Tri Cities...Thanks again, Mom and Dad McCain for letting us crash at your place. You guys are great!

Bath time with Grannie Owens

Hayden sure does miss her Grannie and Granpie Owens!

Uncle Pablo. You sure do look cute with that baby! Thanks for making the house clean for us, and the car too!

Amy and Sam! What funny people they are. I sure do love these guys and I'm so glad we got to see them while we were there. Thanks for the laughs and the delicious "Flag" cake. Hey Amy...."DANCE"

One Day...
We will see you again, oh beautiful Mt. Rainier. We love our families and can't wait to see them again.....Thanks for everything you do for us!

....now onto Grandma Camp!!......
