The Results...

Well I know a lot of you are sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear how my test went on Saturday. Well just to let you guys know, I didn't pass. I guess it just isn't my time to be certified. I had studied hard but the test was nothing that I was prepared for. I had studied but not correctly.

I appreciate all the kind things that you guys said to me and the words of encouragement. It is nice to be able to see our friends pop in and show their support when you need it. I am a little disappointed with myself and feel a little like I let my family down but what can you do besides pick back up your pride,, start studying, and get ready to take the test again. I am ok now. It was nice to have the weekend to relax, good friends to spend time with, and a wonderful family that is full of love and kisses. Even when I was so angry and upset with myself, Hayden still wanted to be by my side and give me wet, slobbery kisses. She gave me lots of smiles and laughs and that really helped. Plus I have a wonderful wife who was sure to let me know that she still loves me and doesn't think any less of me.

I think the phrase is keep on keepin' on. Thanks again for the support and I will let you all know what happens the next time I take the test. I love all you guys and everything you do for me.

Testing, Testing.......

Ever since Carl graduated in psychology last summer, he has been working hard on becoming certified in Human Resources, and since that isn't what he graduated in, he has had to work double extra hard in order to understand what he needs to do if he wants to work in this profession. He was blessed enough to be hired on at his work to be the HR Manager, which is helping him in so many ways to gain experience in this field. A few months back he also took a course on HR that will enable him to know everything he needs to know about this profession and allow him to take a test to be certified in HR. Well, we have been dreading this 5 hour long test since he took the class and he has been studying so hard for it, so hard that he even put his XBox away to focus, but the day has finally come.
Well, its actually tomorrow(Saturday) but Carl gets to take his certification test, and he is ready, but anxious at the same time. This could be a big jump in his career and very beneficial for our future. I just ask if you read this between now and 5:00 pm on Saturday the 28th, that you keep Carl in your thoughts and prayers as he prepares and takes this test. We love you all and thank you for the support you have all given us.

Friday the 13th......

Happy Late Friday the 13th! Carl is teaching our daughter well.....

...but I'm not sure how I feel about my sweet, innocent, little girl hanging out with a doll that has a knife.

Maybe it will teach her not to take crap from strange men, or any man for that matter.
May your superstitions be many!

And Finally....The Crib!!

We finally have a crib! Carl's parents were kind and generous enough to get it for us as a gift, and we love it! Hayden is now moving from the pack n play where she has peacefully slept for the last 4 months into her very own big girl crib. It is a bitter sweet moment for me in the sense that I know she is getting big and can't sleep in the pack n play forever, but I am excited because she is so cute in her crib! I have been worried that the transition from pnp to crib would be a hard one, and last night was our first run of it. She took a bit to go to bed but she finally did and slept as normal. So I hope this keeps up and she continues to feel comfortable in her crib.

Need some advice

This is Carl and I had to work the night watch last night and this morning and so I have had a lot of time to think. We finally got our shelves hung in our bedroom and it was no easy task. A buddy of mine had to come over and help because I am so
retarded when it comes to those things. Anyways, we now have shelves but can't figure out what to put on them. Everything we had on them in the old house is in another place so now my GI Joe, Transformer, and my Jason Vorhees doll sit up there (neither of these make Devin too happy). Tonight I have been playing with some pictures I think I want to put the following pictures on the shelves and I would like to know what you guys think.

Here's to "L" and "A"

Our dear friends are leaving us, in fact "L" has already left us for the great state of Virginia to begin their new lives out of Utah. Even though I am happy for them to be moving on and starting this next phase in their life, I am sad they will no longer be around. So this blog is dedicated to them! We love you guys!

We can't forget Wesley either! He's so funny!
