28 Oct 2009 : Adaptation
October was a busy month.
PL was finally able to adjust her time table according to new working life. At least, there was ray of light in her planning since last 5 years.
Time is important.
And, she finally could sit down and started to keep in touch with some long lost friends, besides some long abandoned interests.

25 Oct 2009 : IQ kids graduation ceremony and concert
Attended CY's concert & graduation ceremony. We were impressed by the K2 graduation speech in 3 languages. An Indian kid represented the students with his fluent Mandarin.
It was kind of too early for a 3-year old. However, it would be an experience for him.
Just that, the event was not on time, and it dragged too long that most of the kids were exhausted, as well as the parents. For those K2 parents, they might need to stay till 6.30pm.

19 Oct 2009 : Almost 3 weeks
It was great to have more personal time, without 8-to-5 job.
PL was adjusting to make the days more meaningful daily. At first, a table calender and a clock were important to be placed on her home work station. It helped her in arranging her daily schedule. Initial 1 week was kind of messed up due to the change. It was gradually emerging into a constant mode now.
With the MSc first semester going to be ended, she left 1 indivdual assignment, 1 group project and 1 examination. It was great that the dateline was not on the same week.
The scheduled part time lecture for dip students was spred on Wed, Thur & Fri. It allowed the 1st 2 days of the week to focus on preparation and her MSc thingy.
Last Thursday, she received a call regarding the mega project on consultancy. Wished the project would be before February 2009 or after May 2010. If not, some of the schedule would be adjusted.
Besides, she also received a call on a part time tutor for MBA students. Awaiting the letter of appointment to make the next move. Still needed to read the offer details to decide. The course coordinator called up personnally to brief some details and informed her that she was shortlisted. hmmm....... wish she would not disappoint him.
The 2nd part time contract which was supposed of her main interest, was signed. Now, pending the German headquarter response to start the 1st audit. Also, preferred it to be not later than February 2009 to get started. And, the mentor assured her that they do not mind her taking up other part time opportunities. However, any consultancy jobs, the company shall be acknowledged to avoid conflict on audit activities.
Thus, the day could be busy or free, depending on time management.
The best thing in the day was no rushing when dropping little CY off to childcare. This morning, little CY was up earlier. Playing with his trains on track for half an hour before moving his train playground downstairs. And, PL suggested to do morning exercise on the lawn. The morning dew wetted the grass that we finally did it at car pouch which little CY enjoyed so much. :)
In fact, we were lucky that we could make a choice to be away from the hassle of life.

15 Oct 2009 : 2nd day of lecture
Today, PL went to give lecture to Dip students. She opts for a few part time opportunities and this is one of them. It was surprisingly smooth even she never lectured before. The trainer experience helped more or less.
After the lecture, she stole some time to visit Pelangi Plaza. It has been quite some time she never went to this shopping center. Metro was having their sales promotion that she grabbed 2 t-shirts and a Disney Megasketch (Doodle) for little CY.
When she was having lunch in Vivo, monori and her daughter stepped in. Thus, we sat in the same table, chatting, while enjoying the set lunch. She mentioned that she was there to buy some DVDs. Just before making a move, PL finally spotted a DVD shop and got a Thomas & Friends and a Barney new release for CY.
It was raining cats and dogs when PL left the shopping center.

05 Oct 2009 : 望子成龙
This morning, while PL & little CY were chatting outside the fence - a usual routine act before hopping into the car, No.12 auntie was riding her bicycle. Little CY called out loud, "AUNTIE !!"
Chatted for a while, and she insisted to get a copy of an audio CD for PL.
She was happy that I could spend more time for the family.
The title of the audio CD is "望子成龙", talking about how to bring up kids, by a monk.
Just listened one topic..
" When we were small, we usually have a essay title - my ambition...
And, most of us will write "I wanna be a teacher." (*grin*)
" Some parents might reprimand the kids: A teacher ? A teacher cannot earn lots of money... why don't you wanna be a doctor...?
The kid would ask innocently : Why I need to put a doctor ?
Parents : U see, when you are sick, I need to bring you to a doctor.. and it costs a lot...
This is how certain parents bring up the kids...
When they grow up, and becoming the doctor....
They might tell the parents : When you come to see me, remember to pay. " *sigh*
