30 Mac 2009 : New yoga instructor

PL decided to shift to a yoga studio that nearer to the new house. Besides the timing, PL liked the new yoga instructor very much.
After every yoga class, she felt happy. And, we did grin in the class when the instructor pointed out our mistake & showed to us. There was no pressure on difficulty to get the posture right. The instructor was patient in guiding us.
The evening class was going to start in April 2009. Most probably, PL would join 1 evening class and try the weekend class from another instructor.

28 Mac 2009 : In the dark

Today, 8.30-9.30pm was declared as Earth Hour.
We were having dinner in Don Sushi while the waitress informed us that they were going to switch off the light for 10 min from 8.30-8.40pm.

It was indeed the first time earth hour was really implemented in Malaysia.

We arrived home at 8.30pm. Some of our neighbours were in the dark. We did not switch on the light as well, including the car porch downlight with light sensors. However, we left CY's room lighted up.

29 Mac 2009 : Travel dream

Saw some photos from friends.
It seemed like traveling season. Japan, Europe, Australia & etc....

PL always liked to travel. The dream of visiting those she never stepped her feet on was always in her mind. Perhaps, shall join a company that enabled her to travel. Or, just went by herself. CC would rather spend his money on trading his share.

Saw those couple with single income & lower salary could only did it. So, why not ? Clearly, it was just an excuse. And also many excuses for allowing PL pursued what she has been longing to.

24 Mac 2009 : PL's new toy

CC was back earlier that we went to a handphone shop at Johor Jaya. PL returend her company handphone that she was using the problematic K700i.
After browsing through the nokia selections such as N95, 6710 navigator and the latest 5800, we picked N78.



We only looked at those with GPS as CC's requirement while PL needed a camera phone with some basic features. Anyhow, PL really liked this phone which was slim and handy.

24 Mac 2009 : Aftermath

Went to wet market for curry chicken ingredients. Now, PL had plenty of time to cook and tried on new recipe.
She rushed to office to get her name card holder that she thought she left it behind. It was actually slotted in the DNV bag and was at home ! Nevertherless, she managed to catch up a bit with S & Khoo.
J & R came for lunch. Too bad that LH could not make it. Mom also made yam kuih after the lunch that it was indeed making our stomach overloaded.
PL was still indecisive on getting a job. Indeed, she enjoyed this short break, by putting the job hunting aside.

20 Mac 2009 : D-day

3 pm : Everyone were in auditorium. Minutes later, we could hear people sobbed, shouted hurray, and etc. Most were relieved because there was an answer. It was indeed the best solution for the time being. Everyone bid goodbye, not the 48%. (or the target 25%)

5 pm : PL finished packing. She was fast because she packed some the day before. (Her instinct was kind of accurate..;p) Gone to upstairs to see how others were doing. Dragged to take photos.

Lee : Next time, if there is any steamboat, make sure you invite me.

PL : Make sure you come.

*...came all the world from Melaka to Johor for steamboat ? wait & see...*

Luckily, PL went upstairs. She finally took a photo with someone she always wanted to. Guess who...*grin*

The final photo was taken with ESH team.

5.15pm : PL dropped her badge into the box after full body scanning

8 pm : The gate was closed.

19 Mac 2009 : Weird & incredible

Although PL smelled the close down odour, everyone seemed happy. It had been a long wait. Thus, most of the people were preparing for the worst.
Actually, looked at the situation positively, most people could spend more time with family, had time to think what we really wanted, considered doing things that we never had time for, or in short stepped back and visualized our own future in a clearer vision.
The funny thing was some people were actually packing. Last evening, PL came across a colleague who was carrying his file folders when they were heading to the exit.
He grinned to PL, " Just in case,,,, better pack some first. To avoid the havoc later..."
Overheard in the office :
"Do you want me to spare some boxes for you ? I have requested some from warehouse."
"Perhaps, all of us will need to pack together ?"
"......."

*sigh*

PL went back to company yesterday. The whole premise was kind of quiet.
We would be losing most of the Singaporean colleagues. Others were still intact, awaiting the confirmation.

Should take the off when mom is here. But at that time, we would be losing one colleague.

08 Mac 2009 : Elbyta's big day

We arrived at 2.10pm, with little CY dozed off on PL's lap. He woke up when CC carried him on his shoulder. He did not have anything except the hard boiled egg, mostly because we had an early lunch at 11.30am. The food was nice with nasi minyak, beef, mutton, curry chicken and those sweet & sour veggie, besides the drink and dessert. hhmmm... yummy... The theme colour was purple that we could see all their relatives were worn in purple, including the bride & bridegroom. And, the "bunga telur" (Egg Flower if direct translation which a hard boiled egg was attached to a plastic flower; A symbol of fertility & tokens to the guests as a prayer for the couple) and those guest favours & ceremonial items were made into purple color.

Elbyta was PL's ex-colleagues who was now working with DOE. PL did not have the opportunities to meet up with any ex-colleagues since they were there at noon.

We might have missed the Malay wedding day in details whenever we attended any previously. Only today, we found out that there were hurdles like Chinese wedding too. The bridegroom shall overcome hurdles, prepared by the bride's friends and relatives. For this wedding, there were 3 hurdles but we were not closed enough to know what they asked the bridegroom to do.

This was the first time PL did the "adat" or traditional act to the bride & bridegroom with them seated in "pelamin" (wedding dais), guided by Elbyta's relative.

The sequence was :

1. Putting a hard boiled egg into the hands, one hand at a time at both bride & bridegroom.

2. Using a bell-like metal thingy to shake on top of their hands, one hand at a time.

3. Spray the dried leaves & flowers onto their laps.

Little CY was fascinated by the "kompang", a shallow frame drum. He liked the "kompang" music, with various rhytmic composite patterns are produced by an interlocking technique.

07 Mac 2009 : Cari Gathering

We went for a gathering at YanZhi's house. Ha... till now, there were still some that we still did not know by real names. All of us knew one another in Cari, and some were introduced on the spot.
We were chatting non stop, and busy swallowing the food & drink.
Thus, again... Forgot to take any photos... All of us did not took out our camera !

06 Mac 2009 : Birthday Treat

PL suggested the Gon Korean restaurant for CC's birthday treat. Again, we have ordered too much that the dinner was extremely heavy. However, little CY's appetite was surprising us. He finished off 3 rolls of kimbap. (CY's so called "sushi")

When we were back home, we did not have any compartments left for the birthday cake, except little CY !

06 Mac 2009 : We planted some plants...

PL's next target were : Chili & curry leaves.....

06 Mac 2009 : Happy Birthday to CC !

Haha... someone was getting older..
PL was off today. So, she vacuumed & mopped the whole house for CC. ok ok... cleaning the house was not a big deal.. But, it was the first time PL vacummed & mopped this house. Thus, it was considered abnormal situation for her. *grin*
While throwing the waste at the garden, PL noticed the wash area was kind of dirty. She sprayed the water to clean the small corner which led to a surprise ! What came out from the corner included cacing tanah or earthworms ! Seemed like they were building their family at the corner for quite some time. PL transferred some of them into the grass area and nothing could be done of those being drained off.
Sometimes, we really needed to slow down our pace of life to observe our surroundings. There were many small tiny things that actually enlighted our days.
