21 Dec 2008 : Winter Solstice

Although there was no winter in Malaysia, we did celebrate it as a cultural event. Some might celebrate it by praying, some might just have a reunion, and some might not celebrate it at all.
While chatting last 2 days, Yin & PL suddenly thought of making and eating of Tang Yuan(湯圓)) or balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize reunion. So, we went to the Store to purchase the ingridients. Both did not remember how to make it. The 1st trial was terrible, either too large or too soft.
We continued to make more the next morning. It was much better since there was a "sifu" teaching us. And it finally looked ok to cook. All of us had it one day earlier since Yin, Han & Penny planned to left yesterday.

17 Dec 2008 : Streamyx is Up !!

Finally, streamyx was connected.
We transferred our telephone line to the new house last week. However, we could not call out using house phone, but could merely receive incoming call till this Monday. After filing the faulty report, it took them 2 days to transfer our streamyx.
The house shifting was kind...of...err...messy... We did not pack before the D-day. But we dumped all necessities in the luggages and laundry bags (well, we had almost >10 luggages and laundry bags that suited this need) and squeezed into the car on that day we moved. It took us almost 8-hour to complete the load unload for us to move in on 13 Dec 2008.
PL grabbed the Christmas tree on display at a RM5 shop in JJ Permas Jaya. She was then working on the Christmas tree to enlighten the house. It was specially done for little CY since he was not comfortable to move into new house. And it also brought back PL's memory on how she decorated the Christmas tree when she was a little girl in grandma's house.....Not only him, we also found that we needed to adapt to the new environment. What made the greatest difference was the stairs. We climbed up and down to get our things, including little CY who left some of his books / toys upstairs.

08 Dec 2008 : Reno...reno..reno....

We were busy with all those touch-up, especially the earth leakage problem of the water heater which was the 1st priority ! It was then fixed yesterday.

To our relief, we also found 3 meter long curtains for the slightly abnormal tall sliding doors in JJ Tebrau City last weekend. It was not so normal to get those lengthy curtains and yet we would like to try to get those ready-made rather than opt for custom-made.

One glance on the to-do list, we left final touch up of built-in furniture & painting and purchase of curtains for the bedrooms. Wooshhh... more to go....
