30 May 2008 : Furniture Fair

Today, we were out for almost 6 hours. In the morning, we were at CL for the grille + polycarbonate + autogate discussion. After that, we came back to put little CY into bed for his 2-hour nap.

We went out again to have a look at the furniture fair in Persada after we took our lunch.

We did not spot anything interesting till we came across the auto cleaner stall. CC has been looking for an auto cleaner for quite some time and this was not so expensive to give it a trial.

We had tried it out just now.

Advantages :

1. No worries of missing any spot

2. No need to use conventional sweep or vaccum

3. Can set timer to let it do the job when we are out

4. Can recharge itself with its recharger gadget

5. Can use the blocker to block the area that we do not intend for it to get through

6. Come with a remote control

Disadvantages :

1. All items that were lower than this gadget shall be removed prior cleaning unless you want it to climb on top to clean them

2. Pretty noisy but less noisy than conventional vaccum cleaner (Should it be an advantage ?)

3. Not suitable for houses that are messy and extremely dirty (errr...)

4. Cannot serve as a mop

30 May 2008 : Farewell

Throughout these few weeks, besides busy passing down & clearing those outstanding items, PL's schedule was full with farewell lunch & dinner.

May 22 : Dinner in Matterhorn Bistro at Taman Johor Jaya (near to Daiman Golf) with KE & Ravi.
May 28 : Dinner with Fac, CC & EHS team in Taat House.
May 29 : Lunch at Pizza Hut in Pusat Bandar with F, H, Y & A.
May 30 : Lunch at Kedai Makan Rahmat with a few fella from production - FC, Boo, BH, SK & Alan.

Really thanks to those that organized and attended the farewell.

29 May 2008 : Ex-boss

He left with insufficient notice.

We still remembered :
1. He delayed one of our co-workers' resignation for 3 months.
2. He told PL that once someone leaves, the company would not think of them.
3. He said no one was indespensable.
4. He disallowed someone to let go her subordinate
5. .... (Others were P & C)

Then, he submitted the letter. PL was one of the earlier chirping birds that knew about his decision that caused complication between him and this company.

Anyhow, best wishes...!

Whenever PL read the news of the Yingxiu town of Wenchuan county, Sichuan province, tears would glitter at her eyes. It has been 2 weeks. And we were still hoping for more miracles. Besides taking away so many lifes, the future of the remaining was still in the risk if not well controlled. It was reported to have radiation sources buried underneath the area. Besides, mitigation shall be planned properly to avoid disease outbreak which was common after every natural disaster.

Environment is getting worse.

24 May 2008 : Hot & Cold Saturday

The day started bright. PL resumed back her yoga since we were in town.
After CY finished watching his doraemon at 10am, we got ready to go out.
The sun was above us while we were taking photos and taking measurement at AH, although it was raining dogs and cats in Permas at the same time. After stopping over at CL for detailed discussion, we had our lunch at Golden Rain. CY finished off half of the white rice with 卤汁and some fried rice. He must be very hungry after one-hour sleep in the car.
We caught in the rain when we headed back.

23 May 2008 : Pissed off

PL was pissed off.

1. The traffic was so congested
2. One car passed in front of PL's car, ignoring that the light had turned red at his route. Luckily, PL spotted that Proton Isware driven by a dare-to-die driver.
3. CC threw his pants on the 2nd room. An add-on for the already eye sore scene.

Cool down.. it was fly-day !

22 May 2008 : Pap smear & breast inspection

Today, PL's company provided free pap smear and breast inspection after the health talk organized by inhouse nurse yesterday. Dr Cheng from Hospital Sultan Aminah explained to the employees on cervical cancer and the importance of pap smear.

The nurses were here from 11am till 3pm for the pap smear and breast inspection. PL was one of the early birds who registered herself.

21 May 2008 : BUsy...or laZy ???

Besides busy preparing all the outstanding items and passing down, PL was eager to laze at home. Thus, every weekend was precious nowadays.

Now, we were both busy looking for information and compiling necessary information for AH. It was kind of lazy to start the plan-do-check-act cycle for a new home again, but it needed to be done to avoid further complication.

11 May 2008 : Happy Mother's Day

This year, we chose to shop online again and found a hamper for mom. Mom recieved it yesterday morning and called PL. Her tears of joy was "heard".

03 May 2008 : Mamak Store

We went to Restaurant Zim Sum with Yeow & mom before we stopped over at Campbell Street wet market. Mom went to the old building for her sambal paste while we hang around at the Mamak store.
In the evening, KE came to visit and dropped us at the airport. We did go to Newland for oyster pancake, beef soup, porridge, and etc before we packed. We took the evening flight for the first time from Penang to Johor. It was 10.30pm when the taxi stopped in front of our lobby.
It was not a planned visit that PL just sms a few people. AB & Xteen called up for a chat while KE visited us twice. The weather was so hot, and both PL & little CY was not feeling well that we did not go many places.

01 May 2008 : Happy Labour Day

We decided to make a trip back to Penang last minutes. We booked the ticket on 29 April 2008 and departed on 30 April 2008. Arriving in Penang international airport at 1pm, we hopped into the airport taxi to give mom a surprise. The shophouse appeared in front of us at around 2pm. Mom was so happy to see her grandson marching into the house.
We were thinking to bring mom for dinner on 1st May as an earlier celebration for Mother's Day but she refused, mainly because of remembering Hong went with us last year. So, we had a quiet Labour day with usual wet market trip and a visit to Esplanade.
